Shags’ Watchlist

bat
Another week another debut with Josh Battle (Fwd $174,000) who gets a run with Membrey out suspended. This would imply that his JS is shakey, but as it often goes, play well hold your spot. He started well in VFL this year however has had some time on the sidelines due to injury. I wouldn’t jump on this week but rather watch and see how he goes for 1 week.

Shags’ Watchlist

scooter
Scooter, Scott Selwood (Mid $506,000) was in some amazing form this year before a couple of games on the sidelines. He’s still relatively cheap if that form can come back, but he certainly isnt the bargain he was earlier in the year. This is a watch for one week if you are considering him as a cheaper premium to jump on, his BE of 101 means he wont go up too much if he guns.

Shags’ Watchlist

zur
Another debut for the Roos Cameron Zurhaar (Fwd $150,000) gets his chance this week. He plays a mid forward kind of role which is always good potentially for Fantasy stats. Beware the issue with North rotating its rookies, so his Job Security is very shaky.

Shags’ Watchlist

riski
Veteran Suns player Michael Rischitelli (Mid $447,000) is finally back after a very serious knee injury that required a reconstruction. As such you wouldn’t jump on this week. However he has been Fantasy relevant in the past, and he is all class as a Football player, and if he does come out and play like his form in the past, he is relatively cheap. One to chuck on your watchlist as a Mid premo cheapy.

GWS Giants v Sydney Swans, Spotless Stadium (7.25pm)

Shags’ Watchlist

parker
If you started Luke Parker (Mid $565,000) like many of the swans players, you’d have been disappointed. But swans are back in the 8, and one of the big reasons is players like Parker who started poor have been lifting. Three tonnes on the trot, one being a huge 148, if Parker is going to continue scoring like this, he is definitely underpriced.

Shags’ Watchlist

jkh
Jay Kennedy-Harris (Mid/Fwd $195,000) gets another run for the Dees. Clearly his Job Security is shaky, however signs in the VFL are that he can really win the footy, with a couple of 40+ possession games! This doesn’t always translate to the AFL field, and his last 2 scores of 27 and 42 aren’t that impressive. However if he can keep a spot in the team, he has great potential as a cashcow.

Shags’ Watchlist

lam
At the start of the season, it looked like Kane Lambert (Fwd $538,000) was barely top 22 for the tiges.
But just throwing it out there, his last 5 games have been amazing, averaging 111.8 with a high of 147, his role all of a sudden seems conducive to scoring in Fantasy. It would be a bold coach to grab him, and I must admit that this screams fools gold to me, but he has definitely done enough to earn a watchlist for me, especially since forward premiums are all over the shop this year.

zorko
Just realised I didnt have the new Pig potential in Dayne Zorko (Mid $668,000) on my watchlist, which is a glaring omission. 181. say no more. Averging 121.1 for the year. Only downside is he has avery low floor, with a score of 45. If you consider that an outlier, jump on board the Zorko train.

young
Reports are that Lewis Young (Fwd $154,000) is an almost certainty to debut for the dogs on Sunday. Another one of those really tall former basketball draftees, he was a draft standout. With Easton Wood only out for a week however its going to take an amazing performance to hold a spot in the team. Make sure you check Sunday Extended bench selections

Shags’ Watchlist

Ryan Nyhuis (Def $168,000) was the toast of freo after his 4 goal haul last week including the games clutch goal. Surely after that game Freo will give him another chance this week. Only 67 points after 4 goals, and traditionally a lockdown defender, is a bit of a concern, but if he is named again that is a good sign for his Job Security. Make sure you check Sunday extended bench selection 5pm Friday.

A windy cold day in 2015, I was bored, sick with the flu, and decided to start a blog about Teamsheets. I was immediately recruited by Warnie and somehow am now a DTTALK author. NOTE; Im Back in 2022! woooo Twitter @shagbags2023 ~REMEMBER: Friends don't let friends DT TEAMS become ghost ships.
