  • Starting with 2016 wooden spooners first?

  • Sam Docherty is $455k not $554K.

  • I don’t understand why Kerridge costs so much, started last year at a price of $287 000 and played one game for a score of 19.
Yet this season he’s priced $12 000 higher!!
He was going to be my first picked in the forward line this year at a bargain basement price but now he’s in that awkward price range.

    Thoughts Warnie??

    • Prices have nothing to do with last year’s prices, but average. Due to his score being a massive outlier, FanHub applied a tax so that players like Kerridge (Wells, Daisy, Ablett, etc) weren’t “the first one picked at a basement price”. Did they get the exact price/formula right? I’m not sure… but now he is a hard decision. Good for the game. I know people disagree with this, but surely having less gimmie players is a good thing for the game! Gives the game differentiation.

      • Ah makes a bit more sense now, I’ll just stick to figuring out which of these players to pick and leave the itty gritty stuff up to you guys! Thanks for the reply :)

      • I agree with it, makes the teams more unique, but some of it was off. for instance, how does Kerridge get a GOAT tax, while rocky doesn’t? 104 from rocky is severe unders. Kerridge has never really done anything.

        • There’s a formula there. You’ll notice those who attracted a tax were players who played limited games (Rocky didn’t). Kerridge received it due to playing one sub affected game. Like I said, did they get it exactly right? I don’t know… but it is MUCH better (in my opinion) than what SC/RDT have done sticking to the same old formula. AF has its own, to further differentiate the games.

  • The hype for Barlow is over-the-top ridiculous imo. There is a reason he played the role he did last year, which led to the his reduced scores.

Although I love him as a player, I don’t see why or how he would get the extra midfield time.

    • Ross Lyon’s comments in #AskTheCoach are why… I am happy to be proven wrong, but he will a) be a top 6 forward and b) improve his numbers to 100ppg.

      • I agree that he will likely be a top 6 forward, but can’t see him returning to the 110 points a game of 2014.

He is an accumulator, however I reckon the Dockers would much rather have the ball in the hands of Fyfe, Mundy, Hill, Bennell, Neale who all use it better.

p.s. has there ever been a coach who hasn’t lied ;)

        • After what you’ve said, do you understand why people are keen to start him? Hype him even?! If you can start a forward who may even be slightly under priced who you think will be a top 6 forward then that’s a good thing, right?! As I said, he can average 100. Not sure where you’re getting the 110 from – the only quotes of that is the fact he’s done it in the past.

We can trust Ross, great track record! ;) haha.

          • I personally have some doubts about him averaging 100 and reckon he will perform the same kind of stuff this year, as there will definitely be games where due to role he will struggle to reach 60.

He’s in a very similar situation to Yeo.

also Roy saying he should be a lock in every good fantasy team is a little over the top.

          • I don’t agree. Barlow is a ball magnet, always has been. We’ve already seen signs in NAB of a return to the pre-broken leg kind of scores and Ross Lyon sees a big role for him this season. If your basing your observation on last year only (which you are) then don’t pick him. I see him as a steal at that price averaging around 100.

        • Good points however Mundy and Bennell not 100%

  • Beware the Ross Lyon factor – he is the AC of fantasy football. Get hyped about Barlow at your own expense. I hope I’m wrong, because I think Micky Barlow is a cracking bloke and deserves every opportunity to showcase his talents.

Anyway, I’m also looking for a few starters in a bit of a WA based league, but if you’re keen and over East, feel free to have a crack.

    Classic League – AFL Fantasy – Z6LVT43U

Elite League – AFL Fantasy – 34ZPSNPK (draft date 3/3)

  • Is there anything actually wrong with tucker’s knee/leg

    • Is all very strange article on afl site said he is now all clear after seeing specialist although they will rest him. Am guessing as a young guy he just got a few knocks from full grown men he’s not used to and pulled a bit lame. Fingers crossed he’s ok cause he’s in my team wait n see

  • Anyone know where to find keeper leagues what website? Really keen to try it out thx

  • Elite league drafting tonight at 7:30 (WA) For skilled players
    Code is 9RVNUKN4

  • Ok then Barlow v Sam Gray?

    • you should find a way to fit both, 80% feel they’re both top 6 fwd material

  • Really enjoyed the few videos I’ve watched so far lads great job. Can’t help but feel a little of this info is outdated though, like how the hell could you be considering Lobbe after his last two hit outs in the NAB, he had the minutes but he just wasn’t there for me. Always love your thoughts but :)
