  • CAM ELLIS-YOLMEN YOU DID A HAMSTRING!?!?!?!?!?!?! ARE YOU JOKING????????????? NOW I HAVE TO PLAY JACK SINCLAIR!!!!!

  • Yolmen to miss 2 weeks.
Im going to trade him out instead of Newton.

    • For me it’s a choice between Lewis or CEY if I want any cover. Leaning towards CEY as I really want Glenn and there’s not really much point in having $450k+ sitting in the kitty.

  • i could trade yolman, but rekon goodes needs to go first.
do people rekon goodes will cop more green vests?

    • Talking RDT I’ve decided to trade Goodes for McDonald – I don’t really rate Goodes anymore. I’m keeping Yolman at the moment and can see him staying for the whole year, ending up on the bench if I can manage that or using him for an upgrade.

  • Looks like Rockliff is all good to go!

  • Thoughts on Alex Pearce? 120k defender starting on field this week

    • If you desperately need a downgrade.

Sort of player Id give at least 1 week. Depends on who is in your def you need to trade. (Salem/talia)

      • Not in desperate need just want to free cash up as I’m starting to make my plans for upgrades as rockliff won’t be too far away.
Goodes in defence otherwise Salem to defence via dpp and trade goodes for a forward.

    • Don’t do it, he won’t play more than a game or two – McPharlin has calf soreness (week off rest) and only reason he’s in. Even if he does play, he’s a key position player and not likely to get many points.

  • luke mcpharlin will likely only be a week, then pearce will be straight back out

    • Good work Shags. CEY to Glenn or Newton to Glenn?

      • Depends on how confident you are with cover.
CEY has a lot more cash to make. Newton I doubt will make much more. CEY could be out for more than 2 weeks, I mean, its a hammie.

  • Damn it Yolmen! Was getting excited to see him ton up against the dismal suns. Is it worth keeping Yolmen or downgrade him to Glenn instead of downgrading Newton

    • Asking the same question. I have to play Anderson on the field if i bench CEY with Lewis. Problem is that CEY has a BE of -5, but he could take two weeks to get back for me to realise any price increases. If Anderson avoids the green vest he shoudl score more than Newton has been.

      HEEEELP.

    • In the past I have got stuck with injured players. I patiently waited to come back, while lesser rookies made $$$. Hammy can easily turn into 3-4 weeks and he’s not a certainty to walk back in if Crouch comes back soon or his replacements do really well.

I’m going with CEY out, along with Lewis – getting in Heppel & Glenn for M8 (Newton M9) and have massive $580k in the bank.

My plan next week is to get in 2 big premo mids for Newton and B.Goodes

If CEY is named on field in a few weeks time, can easily get him back in for someone like Cripps who will have maxed out.

      • Also, I reckon first year players are more likely to come back through the seconds. So even if it is only a two week injury, it could easily turn into three where he’s not playing for us.

    • I am sick of Newton.
Going to play Glenn instead and stick with CEY

    • If you have good cover get rid of Newton. He is unlikely to score more than abut 60. CEY has plenty more coin to make

  • What do you guys think off getting tom mitchell in this week? To risky or is he there to stay now?

    • im in the same boat, unsure. He seems underpriced if he can keep getting games tho. Anyone know how good his Job security is?

      • And also the Powerball numbers thx…

      • His job security is he missed rounds 1-4, despite getting 30+ possessions a week in the reserves. McGlynn, Heeney, Bird and others will get a gig the second he fails.

    • I was keen (Mitchell) as well & have sweated on this. I opted out eventually. The thing that finally swayed me was that he has played 18 games of AFL footy. Is there anyone this expensive who has played this few games? Barlow was only $90K odd more, who is pretty much at the peak of his career at 27ish. I know his potentially cheap, but there’s a lot of reasons to not get him. I wouldn’t put it past sydney to vest him either.

  • Thinking of Melksham to Bont this week, is he too expensive at 470k?

    • Not at what he is going to become, in a few weeks he’ll be reaching 550k

    • If you have him get him. Priority 1 I would have thought, will be over 500K in no time

      • Cheers boys.

If only Bont didn’t get injured a few weeks ago I would have him instead of stupid Melksham.

        So many wasted trades already.

        • Yep I chose Motlop over Dalhaus a few weeks ago and get sad every time I look at my team…

    • Chuck a C on him, will go huge this week :P

  • Is it worth keeping Goodes over Newton or McCarthy?

    • Depends on your planned trades.

    • Goodes is named isnt he? Good chance for a sub again I guess. You arent making much money off him (if hes not sub might get some cash) whilst Newton is close to his peak.

Id only recommend trading McCarthy if you think your on field rookies are weak.

(Salem, Hogan vs Sydney and McCarthy vs Hawks). Its not in of itself meaning they will score low (Melbourne has actually shown a bit this year, I hope they keep being competitive)

  • Will Heeney start as sub? Heaney > Glenn/McKenzie?

    • I don’t think so.

      Lloyd or McGlynn will

    • Normally I’d say no. But he is coming off an injury , so that increases his chances slightly.

I agree with Alex that lloyd and McGlynn are better options.

    • Hmmm…. shit could go tits up this round with only 6 players averaging over 100.

  • Dangit CEY, why why why! If I don’t trade him I have no bench cover for 2 weeks (holding lewis). Oh well, guess he’s gotta go :( such a solid on field cash cow too

  • What would be the best trades??

Lewis> Pendlebury and Newnes>Dahlhaus via Salem??

    Lewis>Pendlebury and CEY> Mitchell??

Ibbotson> Glenn via DPP and CEY> Pendlebury????

    Cheers

    • DOn’t get rid of Ibbostson.

You will want as many Freo players by season’s end.

  • 1st option

  • Wouldn’t be trading out Lewis.

You trade him out this week, and 2 weeks later you are trying to scrape the cash to trade him back in. 2 out of 6 trades to get Lewis out and back in?

    PASS thx.

    • Agreed. In the latter half/third of the year when you’ve got nothing better to do, trade, but now, definitely hold.

  • Trade Hunt or Geary?

    • i traded hunt this week his scores have been on the decline took the money he made and ran

  • Cant decide on which round 11 bye defender to bring in- Houli Suckling Smith or Docherty?
I like Sucklings draw and with hodge out there is a few points someone will pick up behind the ball?

  • Tom mitchell or mitch duncan

  • The bont or dalhaus

  • The bont or dalhaus ?

  • Wow the karmabus has hit me pretty hard this week – Lewis Hodge Boyd Bennell Seedsman CEY all missing. Sloane & Salem have potential to be late outs with injurys sustained last weekend aswell.

Might just write this week off and pretend it never happened.

  • Are they seriously doing the sleeping old man thing again and again on TFS?

    Fucks sake

  • trying to get pendles in but dont know whether to trade out dom sheed or CEY – sheed is averaging around 65 and has very good JS with a BE of about 30, but CEY seems like he’ll make me more cash after he comes back from injury, thoughts?

    • Depends on who would come on for CEY if you do bench him. If it’s V-Berg, Cripps, McIntosh, or similar, trade Sheed. However if Krakouer, Duggan or Newton come on, trade CEY

      • Yeah i have vandenberg, cripps, touk miller and glenn so should be fine for bench cover

  • Backing in my boy Mitchel almost want him to get dropped again though so the eagles can try grab him in trade period but thats wishfull thinking
