  • Preference between Dahlhaus and Gray in the forward line?

  • Best mid for around 555k?? Need help!!

    • *Need Heppell

    • If you don’t have the cash for Heppell, someone like Kennedy is a decent option. Has been a bit quiet this season but is reliable. Jack Steven also isn’t a terrible option. Alternatively, upgrade elsewhere until you can afford to upgrade your mids to the super premiums.

    • Armitage for 560K would be my pick

    • Stanton ($534K)
Or Boyd ($566K) for something a bit over (and he’s likely to get DEF next week)

    • McVeigh going under teh radar, can play in the wet too.. Defo PoD this week

  • C. Pearce or tom cutler

  • This week in RDT

Thinking Heeney –> Krakoeur with Bontempelli DPP move to mids

    Also have m.clarke, j.martin, t.hunt, b.newton.
Should I think of getting rid or holding this week?

    • Depends on your bench, but I’d hold Clark and Martin

Probably trade Newton if you have too, hes not been great and playing Freo wont help!

  • Because whitecross is an emergency who can i go to who is cheap? is seedsman reliable or not?

    • Eh, if anything is is just a quick cash grab. Best around that price range I reckon. Sam Butler another pod option

  • so nervous having Swan and Gray this week!

Especially as Gray could be a late out and we won’t be able to do anything about it… swan at least we will know.
    Thoughts?

  • Hi lads need help with trades please:
DEF: hibbo, gibbo, newnes, hunt, mcintosh, saad ( kelly, byrnes)
MID: lewis, barlow, hep, sloane, parker, newton, CEY, cripps (o’brien, vandenberg)
    RUC: goldy, belly (holmes, cox)
FWD: dusty, gray, swan, bennell, salem, clark (mccarthy, lambert)

Best options lads? Thinking barlow to rischitelli and bennell to dahlhaus OR barlow to boyd (dpp next week) and bennell to bont?

    • I’m liking option 1, Rischitelli has been playing like an absolute premo without Ablett in the side, should take advantage while it lasts. Also Dalhaus has been a jet so far so he is a safe option. Bont’s been carrying a calf injury so not sure about him but i personally would go with option 1

    • Clark –> Tarrant
Clark isn’t playing and Tarrant is guaranteed to get you cash with such a low B/E and he’s in the starting lineup.
      Goodes –> Schade
Shade’s first game, so he’s only 120k and is starting.

      Goodluck

    • keep Barlow for now

Lose Gibbo (will be a spoiler) for a cheaper option, one of his team mates will be fine

Use that cash to upgrade Bennell

  • I’m worried on Barlow playing, I know he’s been named on the bench before but he only had 69% TOG last week, so Im concerned that ankle may be sore.

  • My rookies
    Def: Oxley, Mcintosh, Saad, Goodes
    Mid: Cripps, CEY, Newton, Vberg
    Fwd: Salem, McCarthy, Clark, Honeychurch
I only have 3k cash left, wanna make a double downgrade and don’t know which rookies to downgrade, i wanna get money so i can bring in Matty Boyd in the defence but seriously having trouble in picking which rookies to downgrade and who to downgrade to
    Pls Help

    • Clark –> Tarrant
Clark isn’t playing and Tarrant is guaranteed to get you cash with such a low B/E and he’s in the starting lineup.
      Goodes –> Schade
Shade’s first game, so he’s only 120k and is starting.

      Goodluck

    • Goodes –> Jake Kelly
      Honeychurch –> Tarrant
      Newton –> Krakouer

      three valid options

  • Which option?

    1-Lumumba to Everitt
    2-Goodes to Seedsman
    3-NVB to Rischitelli

    • I’m liking the role of Rischetelli with Ablett out, playing like a premo. We have no where near seen enough of Seedsman to be jumping on him, shouldn’t judge how good he is off one game imo, same applies to Everitt
      So option 3 tbh

  • Chasing cash this week.

    Neale –> Krak
    and
    Honeychurch –> Tarrant

Leaves the team looking a little light for this week. however, have 410k to upgrade the team next week.

Am i good to go with my captains and subs?

D: Newnes, Hibberd, Laird, Hunt, Oxley, Hunt, McIntosh (Saad E, Kelly)
M: Lewis, Pendles (C), Sloane (VC), Parker, Ellis-Yolmen, Rich, Vandenberg, Cripps (Krakouer E, Newton
R: Mumford, Bellchambers (Naismish E, Holmes)
F: Martin, Swan, Gray, Bont, McCarthy, Tarrant (Salem E, Clark)

    • Looks solid. I’m always a bit wary though of double downgrades as premos can get injured meaning you will be sideways trading ad not upgrading using the cash in your bank. But could be a good move in the long run if you are lucky

      • yeah. there’s that risk. but it’s DPP time next week so will have a bit of flexibility to bring in the right players: Goldy, Boyd, Heppell etc.

  • I really need help with my trades.
Def: hodge, Simpson newnes lumumba, Oxley , Macintosh (saad, Goodes)

Mid: Lewis Barlow treloar Parker rich cey Cripps vandenberg ( Nelson, Newton)
Ruck: goldy and belly ( spuds)

For: Gray swan Martin bont Salem honey church. ( Clark and McCarthy)

I am looking to be able to upgrade either newnes or lumumba to boyd next week so need cash. Thanks

  • Def: Simpson, Newnes, Lumbumba, Hunt, McIntosh, Oxley (Saad, Goodes)
Mid: Barlow, Lewis, Van Berlo, Parker, Neale, Gray, Vandenberg, Cripps (CEY, Newton)
    Ruc: Bellchambers, Jacobs (Naismith, Downie)
Fwd: Bont, Martin, Gray, Bennell, Salem, Clark (Honeychurch, McCarthy)

Who are the two priority trades out of Lumbumba, Goodes, Van Berlo, and Honeychurch?

Leaning towards Lumbumba to Seedsman and Honeychurch to Krakouer. Any other suggestions?

    • lumumba and goodes for me

    • Goodes and honey hcurch get them out now as, there are better cash cows. If you wait until next round the people that you trade in will not earn as much money, you could make as much a 100k+ if you trade in different cash cows.

  • Field who ?
    Hogan : Krakour
    NVB : CEY

    • Hogan and NVB

    • Hogan any other week but, i think he wont have much of an opportunity to score big as Melbourne are up against Freo. Krakour is up against the crows and should have a big game. LOCK IN krakour
NVB or CEY cant really go wrong either way.

  • Kelly vs Schade?

    • tough call. i have kelly. schade is a good grab though.

      • Crows have some big ins that worry me… I’m going Schade I think

    • I don’t like Schade, he’s a key defender playing at a ground due to receive 200mm of rain in the next few days… can’t see it being mark friendly. Also likely to go straight out of the side when Malceski returns.
I worry about Kelly’s job security as well.
I’m looking at the same trade to replace B.Goodes and I’ve decided to leave him there until Byrnes is named for Carlton and grab both Tarrant & Krakouer for Clarke & Honey.

      • Good points… I just don’t wanna leave Goodes there sitting dormant when I could use the cash for upgrades already next week. Worst case scenario Schade just sits there not doing too much

  • I keep seeing the same questions every week, here are the answers:

“Who to field? X or Y?”
Look at the opponents, form and the weather, the answer will be obvious.

“Do you reckon player X will be in the top # def/mids/rucks/fwds by the end of the year”
The question you should be asking yourself is: Who will score the highest from NOW till the END of the year. Past scores are not transfered to your team. Maybe player X played all the easy team already and is now facing a tough patch. Look at the fixtures and the answers will be obvious.

    Again noone mentioning the weather

Call me a knobhead all u want, but I do nothing but make good points. By asking people on this site what trades to do/who to field you only make your team more similar to everyone else and give yourself zero chance of catching up.

    • I agree the weather can completely change the game… but how unpredictable is Melbourne weather? Planning for that is almost as dangerous as not planning for it. Unless theres a guarantee of heavy rain and you have a captain that hates the wet it really shouldn’t come into too much consideration. With regards to who to field I agree though – just whoever looks like scoring the most and most of the time thats the player with the highest average (unless affected by a sub previous rounds)

      • bomberpap i’m not talking about predicting the weather.

But when people on this site harp on about how (for example) Pendlebury did well in the wet last week. Well, I can show you 10 examples where the wet has hampered a player’s score for every 1 you can show the opposite.

Even Calvin popped up and tried to support a team getting more points when they can’t mark the soaked pill to save their lives. With no +6’s on a string, you can expect a lower score in the wet MOST OF THE TIME.

And that is what this game is about. Trying to predict what will happen MOST OF THE TIME.

And most of the time, wet weather = lower scores. Its a fact.

    • I agree with your comments, but it begs the question why do you feel the need to come onto a website aimed at people sharing their thoughts with each other and then berate people for asking questions?

“Because I don’t see a whole lot of honour in that Will.”
      (Robin Williams voice)

      • Not berating, but definately annoyed at the attitude of ignoramuses.

  • Sorry if my comments aren’t ‘vanilla’ for you softies.

  • who to downgrade out of clark and honeychurch? will clark miss more than 1 week?

  • Love how people are trading Clark and his BE is still only 9! Surely wait the week out unless you have a donut risk with Gray and no other cover.

  • My Team

Def: Gibson, Newnes, Hunt, McIntosh, Oxley, Saad, (Goodes, Hamling)
Mid: Lewis, Heppell, Parker, Barlow, Beams, Motlop, Cripps, Vandenberg (CEY, Newton)
    Ruc: Jacobs, Belly (Holmes, Naismith)
Fwd: D. Martin, Swan, Gray, J. Martin, McCarthy, Salem (Honeychurch, Clark)

I am stumped and need help. Should I bring in Bontempelli this week for Barlow or back barlow in this week and sort some bench out aka Krakour or McGinnis for Honeychurch.
Also want the cash for boyd in DPP next week

    PLEASE HELP :)

  • Does anyone think Lumumba to Seedsman is an alright trade? Or should I go straight to Schade/Kelly?

  • Not sure who should make way for Kraks.

    Mid options
    ———–
    B Newton (Melb)
    A Saad (GC)
    J Anderson (Hawks)

    Fwd options
    ———-
    m clark (geelong)
    Salem (melb)

Anyone know if clark is likely to be out for long?

Is Anderson out of the team for good now? Noticed he wasn’t an emergency…

  • cutler, Talia, or thurlow in for whitex? Thoughts? Talias break even and job security looks good. Not sure though.

  • You mean Butler? I would say
1- Talia – a clear winner of these three
    2- Butler
    3- Thurlow

  • No downgrades this week, doubled down last week for Krak and Tarrant.

2 sideways upgrades but they need to be done

    Barlow > Hepp
    Bennell > Godd

  • Milansta! I love your feistiness and like to see a bit of grunt on this site.

I’m totally with you on weather playing a big role and I’m thinking dahlhaus could go well in the rain as he’s a tackling machine. I can either bring in Dahl or Dusty this week and can’t decide. Thoughts?

  • Hi guys. Would like some help with my trades this week.

    Fantasy

    Def: B. Smith, Newnes, Lumumba,
    Kmac, Oxley, Saad (Goodes, Hamling)
    Mid: Lewis, Barlow, Parker, Heppell,
Griffen, Rich, CEY, Cripps {Newton, V’berg)
    Ruck: Sauce, Belly (Cox, Naismith)
    Fwde: Gray, Swanny, Martin,
    Bont, Salem, McCarthy (Clark, Honey)

    107k in the bank

Was thinking of trading Lumumba to Hibberd, then Griffen to Tarrant via Swanny. This leaves me with $250k for upgrades next week. Thoughts/opinions appreciated.
