  • Thanks boys, looking at Johnson to Sidey and miles to Bartel, leaving swallow at M9. If swallow is named I’m considering bringing in Crisp as M9, fielding Suckling (v Dee’s) and using swallow as D7 but still pondering!

  • Great work guys, worth keeping Suckling so I can ditch Swallow? Cannot remember if you answered or not in the podcast. Good luck to Roy this week, who I will be up against.

    • They said keep Suckling cause Swallow will be 505/50 & probably won’t score well even if he plays.

  • cheers lads, who should I trade out first, swallow, zorko or sandi?

  • Thinking either Kelly to McVeigh or Libba to Sidey. Libba is really under performing but does come up against St Kilda so not sure. Thoughts?

  • best defender under 490k?

  • best mid under 490?

  • thinking about trading out stevie j this week and will bring him in next week. anyone going to tear it up this week

    • I’m keeping him cause I can bring in Sandi via DPP. If you don’t have decent bench cover, trade!

      • you’re bringing in Sandi??? may I recommend a potentially better option like Ryder? (who you can also swing forward if need be)

        • Sorry for the confusion… Sandi has been my R3 for a couple of rounds. Now I can bring him back on, switch S.Martin to FWD & Zaharakis to MID.

Certainly wouldn’t be trading him in!

  • Thanks boys! You do an awesome job all year & it’s greatly appreciated. I don’t think I’d be doing Fantasy without your wisdom (along with DTLive…)

But Warnie, I hope your team stinks this week, cause I’m up against you in an elimination finals game…

  • Great work lads……..

It really shouldn’t, it is shameful that it does, but every time that bloody little twiddly diddly tweet tweet part cracks me up.

Is it my imagination but did Roy get through an entire show without a mention of his boy Rocky? Trouble in paradise? Are they breaking up? Rumour mill time.

  • Which one: Prestia, Jack, Libba, Duncan, Motlop?

  • Hey fellas, Great podcast!!!
What are your thoughts on Ricky Petterd as a replacement fro Swallow?? Seems to have found a spot of form!
    Cheers :)

    • Risky… his last 3 games have been against GWS, Port & Brisbane, and in the next 4 he has Sydney, Adelaide & Essendon…

      • agree with Nick here, Richmond have the hardest draw in terms of scoring for DEFs (just behind Freo)

a smoky if you’re interested – Broadbent, will do poorly this week against Carlton, but great history against his next 3 opponents (and they’re pretty leaky too)

  • Thoughts on Callan Ward as a POD for Stevie J? Makes you 30k too

    • callan ward is a gun, worth having in any team. only downside is that for every 3 or 120s that you get, youll get a 50-60 as well.

  • Good podcast boys, always enjoy a listen.
One things that’s getting to me (if you read the “my teams”) is all these people trading out Stevie J for a one week suspension. I learned my lesson after trading out Rocky due to his 1 match ban in round 2. Took me half the season to get him back in. With SJ, you’re talking about a guy who can go 140+ with some regularity, and after this suspension he’s playing 3 teams who he scored an average of 123 against earlier this season! (153, 139, 77)
Calvin called it – this is why you need proper bench cover! Not a mcgovern/griffiths/kersten, but genuine best 22 player with a few years under their belt. I don’t want to sound like Milansta and blow my own trumpet, but I’m not trading Stevie J because Dalhaus will step in as my M9 with a 90 average. And Mitchell late out? lucky Jaensch covered me for a 95! With proper bench cover, you don’t have to waste trades going sideways with uber premos, but can improve your team elsewhere whilst bringing SJ back in next week. Oh well, guess SJ is my POD now ;)

    • Agreed. Trading Stevie J is a huge risk.

I’m lucky that I can use DPP action to get Sandilands on in place of Stevie J. I guess if you’re in an elimination game this week, & you don’t have decent bench options, you’d have to trade.

But like you, I think it’s a last resort. Stevie is a must have…

    • Sometimes its ok to sound like me :P

  • Hey Guys!

I need to trade out Hibbo. I have 515k to play with, Im feeling a Hodge or a Simpson.
    Any thoughts?

    • I’d go Simpson. Less likely to get a rest.

    • Simmo can pump 140. Could be the difference in finals

    • loving hodge’s recent scoring, but yeah simpson is a lot cheaper right now and seems to score just as well. you’d have to go simpson and use the 50ish grand elsewhere

    • yep go simpson he’s at a good price. assuming you have Mitchell already?
malceski is a good POD too

  • oh snap, SJ is appealing the decision, could be out for 2 weeks if it doesn’t go his way.

  • Out-Gunston and kerston
In-? (Both to play on the field)

  • Out- Gunston and kerston
In- ? (Both player need to be on the field)
Left over money from last round-$167,128

  • how are you so sure crowley will go to johnson not selwood

  • stevie cleared to play!!!!!!!

  • Stevie j’s form doesn’t warrant a tag, crowley should goto selwood but iv got stevie and my opponent has selwood so no doubt he will goto stevie and ill lose my final!

  • dalsanto or sam mitchell??????

  • Dal santo, mitchell with crowley amd mcaffer tag next few weeks

    • Thoughts?
Option 1: Dahlhaus > Sidebottom via Harvey DPP and Kersten > Herbert. Leaving 3k

Option 2: Stevie J > Sidebottom and Kersten > Herbert. Leaving 131k for upgrades next week.

I’m looking at option 1 because Stevie will most likely get the crowley tag. Next week Geelong vs Carlton and Stevie got 77 with the carrots tag. Dahlhaus is versing St Kilda, surely he could score well? Next week i’ll look at trading Dahlhaus to Priddis or another mid if all goes well. That’s if I do option 2.
Thoughts will be greatly appreciated, cheers.

    • While SJ may get the Crowley tag, it’s a risky move to dump him. a) he may go big this week and/or next week anyway. b) you might find you can’t get him back in when you want him.

Essentially, if all goes well, to dump SJ then bring him back in again, your using 2 trades to save maybe an expected 50 pts or so over 2 weeks (work out what you think they’ll score yourself if you disagree), which could be worth it if it wins you a crucial game or two.

On the other hand, dumping Dahlhaus now saves the SJ trades and makes your team better long term (as there are lots of good fwd options). Perhaps it depends on if you think you’ll win this week or not.

(BTW ‘versing’ is a form of the verb ‘verse’ which means “speak in or compose verse”. ‘Versus’ is a proposition meaning “against or in opposition to” and is most definitely not a verb – Sorry this just irritates me for some reason)

  • Hi guys, great podcast!

If Brodie Martin is an option for D7, then is Heritier Lumumba an option too? Back to back high 90s, and we know he can produce a good average from last year and the first 6 rounds of this year.

Anyone watched his last 2 games? Are his good scores due to a role change?

    • Forgot to mention, $8k cheaper too!

    • I’d take martin with his draw. Can u reply to mine above

      • I’m going Sam Wright, has not been mentioned at all but withs some great numbers in his new role and an easy run home, he’s another B. Martin except 20k cheaper

        • Good suggestion if he plays the rebound and mopping up role. A bit of a worry is that he could get a key defensive role and get 20-odd just when you need him. I think there’s less risk of that with Martin or Lumumba for not much of a premium. A worthy option nonetheless.

    • A bit of further research: Lumumba started scoring well the same week Swan, Toovey and Ball were dropped. In particular, the return of Toovey and Ball could affect Lumumba’s output and both could be back this week. Perhaps Martin is the way to go with less risk of him losing his role in coming weeks.

  • Malceski or Sitchell?

  • Who would be the priority 2 to trade out… Goddard, Cotchin, Chappy or
    D swallow?
