AFL Fantasy Punt is back!

Very much like Match Day, but with prizes based on a competition pool – ie. betting like on lotto. – you can pick a side, enter it with a $10 entry fee and if you’re in the top few, you take home cash prizes… and for the high rollers, get involved in the $50 entry game!

The round game locks out before the first game of the round, but for the single match day games it just needs to before they start. This week we have Hawks v Blues (FRIDAY FREE ENTRY!), Swans v Power, Dons v Dees.

Sign up to a Luxbet account by clicking here and then head over to the AFL Fantasy Punt website to log in and pick your sides.

  • Best upgrade for tyson, already have ablett rocky pendles beams sj barlow sheils

Trelor or Goddard or am I missing someone?

    • JPK or Libba? I went to Goddard to get some cash but if your trying to finalise your team, these two options are the way to go- their numbers are consistent and pretty decent

  • thoughts on pearce hanley?

  • Never a relevant fantasy player, but a great leader and backman was glassy. Dont think there will be many bad words said about him at all. All the best with the future. My money is on Coxy to take over as caretaker captain for the remainder of the year before he pulls the pin too.

  • With Coxy going out should Naitanui come into contention with I believe some solid form and a low BE?

  • Martin or Naitanui for Cox?

  • Still don’t understand how langford isn’t getting a game, the kid gives it a good crack.

  • Can’t quite afford libba or jpk, next best option?

Naitanui very would be my pick, martin to struggle against the big mummy

  • God damit cox out, watson out, cameron out, bews out

  • Worth trading in martin for cox and getting another ruckman next week

    • I’ve gone most of the season with 1 premo ruckman so I’d back Martin in. Especially with cash to be made

  • I’m thinking Watson to Swallow and then Langford to Wingard via Fasolo DPP. Thoughts?

Leaves me with $73k in the bank

  • Who to start on the field suckling or hooker?

  • Hold Dean Cox in RDT or get rid?? Best option other than Sandi?

  • Langdon been named last on the extended bench worrying anyone?

  • do i start llyod or obrien (both on bench and likely subs)

    Thoughts would be appreciated!

    • tough one, id say loyld has more of an impact and will probbaly score higher, but sydney are facing port and brisbane and playing gws, so id got with obrien

  • Chappy being named last in extended bench against Dees is a worry. Anyone know if he’ll be rested?

  • I want to “downgrade” watson to a lower priced premium mid so I can afford to upgrade Derickx to premo ruck.

Which premo mids are good bang for their buck?

  • Hodge or Simpson?

any advice would be appreciated, Thanks

    • kade simpson for sure had a tuff one against geelong last week but simpson half the time is playing as their 1st midfeilder= stat pig

  • Whats the go with chapman and langdon… Will they play?

  • Reverse trade McGlynn back out. Who to put in?

  • really not sure what im going to do this week have 118k in the bank, please take a look at my team tell me what you think i should do http://i58.tinypic.com/2z7pdo1.png

    • Nahas, Tyson, Shaw and Langdon are top priorities.
I’d go Tyson to Barlow/SJ and Shaw to maybe Jaensch? Otherwise cull Nahas early for S Martin

  • ASADA issues 34 ‘Show Cause’ notices to Bombers.

    http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-06-12/dons-hit-with-doping-notices

Looks like we may need to look at not only trading Jobe, but any 2012 Bombers as well…

  • Dubzzy, maybe upgrade tyson
or you could upgrade higgins and shaw aswell..
a good downgrade for ambrose is mcgovern with a BE of -27
make you a quick 100 to next week do a double upgrade

    • ambrose> mcgoven then elliot>parker? with 117k next week or should i go upgrade tyson instead of elliot?

  • Best option to downgrade Langford to? Litherland will be out of the Hawks side next week… grrr.

  • Not a teams question. But what’s happened to tbetta? I know he has been doing a piece on footy live for rdt. Is the bulletin on hold or was it not sustainable.

  • Screw #free viney,
    #BRING BACK THE BULLETIN

  • Off Topic but a big up to Darren Glass as he is an absolute champ on his retirement. I would of retired to if I had a bunch of heartless blokes pretending to be afl players. Cox will be next

  • My team

    Simpson,swallow,hibberd,jaensch,suckling,Langdon (Langford,bews)
    Rocky,ablett,beams,Pendles,sj,swan,jelwood,Watson (Shenton,hallahan)
    Sandi,derrickx (lowden,currie)
    Parker,chapman,Martin,dahlhaus,gunston,Elliott (s frost,Cameron)

Watson has to be traded, Langford possible other trade. Any advise, have 89k in bank.

    • Watson -> Barlow.
      Langdon -> Hanley.

Depends if you want to upgrade/downgrade or not. This won’t leave you with a lot of cash.

  • do i start llyod or obrien (both on bench and likely subs) b.jack has come in for sydney and would probably get the vest before llyod.

    Thoughts would be appreciated!

    • Yeah Jack likely to get the vest ahead of Lloyd, good call. O’Brien getting very good points per minute tho so if he avoids the vest he should go well.

  • Have not been able to offload for Fasolo for a long time so he will be out this week.

    Thoughts on these trades:

    Fasolo -> Barlow (DPP action)
Watson -> Pearce Hanley. Reason for this being, next week I will substitute hanley into the backline and get langdon into the mids, who I will then trade out for a Stevie J.

    Thoughts Fellas?

  • Stefan martin or jeremy mcgovern?

  • Anyone have a working link to the traders talk tonight on the AFL website?

All links (found in twitter) are down.

  • beams or miles ???

  • libba or treloar im stuck !!!! helppppp

    • Both great POD’s. Treloar is cheaper and has produced a great 3 round average however Libba hasn’t gone under 110 in 7 rounds now! Both would be good. If you a going to get one this week and then one the next, I’d go treloar. If you are only going to get one for the rest of the season, I’d go Libba.

  • Who do you reckon will cop the vest for Sydney? Trying to decide whether to have Lloyd of Derickx on ground…

    • B.Jack usually gets it when they give him a game, like this week. I’d imagine he’d get it.

  • Thanks mate – much appreciated.

  • traded in chappy. is it a good move if hes names as emergency or will he be right?

    • He’s not going to be an emergency, look at the other players on the extended bench and its highly unlikely he wont be in the starting 22.

  • Im debating whether to have Cotchin or Jake Lloyd on the field this week.
Cotchin will probably have the Crowley tag and Lloyds scores for when hes not sub are 109, 92 and 68 and id say Brandon Jack would pick up the vest.

Any thoughts?? Cotchin is the most likely option, even though he is gonna get tagged he is still a premo and gun player
