  • Didak will be Collingwood sub, Seedsman will get a full game, needs to show club what he is capable of doing.

  • Jenkins and Sauce Phillips are both genuine ruckmen, so it is highly unlikely they will be the sub. GWS especially has many more likely candidates.

    • Agree with that entirely and was going to mention Jenkins before I read your post. Surprised Sub Marine didn’t realise this! Smith will start sub for Adelaide I think. Has been poor recently and the ideal running link up player suitable to be a sub.

  • Come on Roy lets be real here. No club has made a ruckman or a key position back the sub since the disaster that was Mark Seaby. Its designed for impact players.

    • +1

Jenkins, Phillips, Fitzpatrick may very well end up Sektors but they won’t be Reptiles.

  • I think you might be right with Kane Lucas… he has just been struggling a touch and with running players coming back in he could be vested!

  • I was under the impression the sub couldn’t be anyone named on the field? Is this just more often than not the case and not an actual rule?

    • The lists are submitted by the club and placed in positions by the media according to how they think they will start

      • Ahh ok, cheers for clearing that up

      • This can’t be true – the media make a thing of out of position players, e.g he was named at full forward but he is usually a fullback. Why would the media randomly select Collingwood’s Nathan Brown in the forward pocket?

  • I have a theory that Sheppard will be the sub for West Coast. i know it’s Neates’ first senior game, but with Nicoski, LeCras, JK and now Hams missing, they brought him for firepower in the forward line, so I reckon he’ll be on the park from the start.

    • +1. Neates is like for like with Hams, sheppard is similar to mcginnity/masten/stevens/anyone else in that side eligible for the vest.

also i think you need to replace the cats vest from guthrie to whoever comes in for bartel, most likely byrnes?

  • Silvani, Wilkes, Jenkins and Sauce Phillips wont be the subs IMO

  • Hope zorko and jenkins arnet sub… Good downgrade targets

  • McKenzie a certain green vest for North.

3 rucks in Fitzpatrick, Jenkins and Phillips as green vest candidates. Interesting. Reckon it might be Sumner for GWS. Have no idea about Melb. Thinking Lyons/Smith for the Crows. Also think Wilkes is no chance for the green if fit with no McEvoy (Kosi/Stanley in ruck more).

  • a key position defender as sub e.g. Silvagni would be kinda outrageous

  • Subs for today are McKenzie (Nth Melb) and Clay Smith (WB).

  • Damn difficult business, this trying to pick reptiles. Add in the impact of “late” withdrawals and it is about as difficult as trying to herd cats!!!

  • How good was Roy, correctly picked Smith as sub for the bulldogs, yet Smith was dropped and then a late inclusion. Does Roy know all the late changes?
