Dream Team Stock Market – R6

It’s back! Bigger and better than ever. The #DTSM (Dream Team Stock Market), is your one stop shop, for pretty much, well, everything! Dream Team might have the Assistant Coach (for $19.95), but the Assistant Coach doesn’t have me (free of course) or twitter (also free) or have a crystal ball (umm, working on that part).

For those of you new to the Dream Team Stock Market, quite simply, it’s the bees neez when it comes to working out and deciding how to make money for your dream team and speed up the process in which you raise your salary cap to create the competitions ultimate side! Remember, at the start of the year, players (besides LTI’s, rookies or players returning from Ireland) are valued at how they performed last season. You spend the money, you are banking on that player to perform to that value. The more money you have to spend, the more money you have to spend on players that are performing! That’s why it is so important to know when to jump off a player that has peaked and jump on someone at a lower than valued price.

Let’s just get straight to it shall we….

MONEY MAKERS – TOP 5

1. James McDonald (MID) $183,100 ($84,400) B/E: -55 AVG: 90.6 LAST 3: 98, 84, 90

Will still be the top earner after this week if he keeps it up. Another solid 90 last week, he could seriously just be in your side all year, just doing his thing. I had my doubts at the start (still do) that he will miss games due to his age and player/coach tag. That doubt is starting to dwindle, in partial thanks to be suspended for 2 weeks in Round 1. Anyways, grab him regardless this week or you miss the boat (its already gone).

Weekly Stock Market Prediction: ↑$60,000

DTSM Value: $420,000

2. Jack Crisp (MID) $85,800 ($0) B/E: -60 AVG: 58 LAST 2: 67, 49

Has not lit the DT world on fire, but at his price and the money he is about to make, I can’t really deny him a place in the top 5. There has been a lot worse performances by highly picked rookie mids, so all is not lost. Be unique none the less.

Weekly Stock Market Prediction: ↑$50,000

DTSM Value: $270,000

3. Darren Pfeiffer (FWD/MID) $117,800 ($0) B/E: -49  AVG: 63 LAST 3: 76, 50

I really like the way this guy goes about his footy. Once he gets more into the swing of AFL, I reckon he will be fantastic for the Power. Especially with Robbie Gray going down with that season ending knee injury. As one door closes, another one opens. Named on an extended Port bench this week. Hopefully his door stays open another week or 10.

Weekly Stock Market Prediction: ↑$50,000

DTSM Value: $270,000

4. Jesse Stringer (MID) $104,200 ($0) B/E: -46 AVG: 57 LAST 2: 37, 77

Another smokie that had a great game last week. Named on the bench this week so is set to play his 3rd game and start his price elevating. If he continues on last weeks 40 point improvement, should crack 117 this week. Wishful thinking!

Weekly Stock Market Prediction: ↑$42,000

DTSM Value: $265,000

5. Clay Smith (MID) $149,100 ($41,400) B/E: 2 AVG: 58 LAST 3: 79, 53, 42

Why is Clay on your top 5? Well to be honest, there isn’t much value this week in the money makers. I just have a feeling this guy (whom is named as 1st emergency) might be a late inclusion tomorrow night. He will return to the Bulldogs line-up soon and will dominate, he just needed to find some legs in the VFL and more of the ball. Gees I hope he comes back, looks a ripper!

Weekly Stock Market Prediction: ↑$23,000

DTSM Value: $230,000

DTSM “Buy, Buy, Buy” Watchlist:

Kyal Horsley (MID) $119,800 AVG: 101

Beau Wilkes (DEF) $98,700 AVG: 47

CHANGE OF PLANS – TOP 5

1. Nathan Fyfe (FWD/MID) $412,300 ($74,300) B/E: 154 AVG: 80.5 LAST 3: 85, 22, 91

Ok, a billion articles and information has been provided regarding Fyfe. I dont want to say I told you so (Round 4 DTSM) but, don’t say I didn’t warn you! The writing was on the wall as soon as he was a late withdrawal 2 weeks ago. Shoulder surgery this week equalling 12 weeks off at a minimum. Do we honestly think they will risk this kid by rushing him back? I doubt it. Damn shame cause I love watching this guy play. Will be one of my first picked in season 2013.

Trade Suggestions: P.Chapman, S.Johnson, A.Christensen… Why Geelong? They have the same bye as Freo. BOOM!

2. Josh Drummond (DEF) $304,800 ($15,400) B/E: 68 AVG: 75 LAST 3: 95, 105, 25

Josh is quite rare. He is one of the few players made out of paper mache in the AFL. Well, I’m pretty sure the piece of crap paper mache I made in Kindergarten was a hell of a lot tougher (helps I was heavy handed with the Clag). FFS Mr. Drummond. Go spend a week or even just a day with Johnathon Brown and learn to be a man. Drink a beer, go duck shooting, do a burnout in a torana, errect a tent, shag a sheila in the tent, drink your own piss, stab someone… HARDEN UP!

Trade Suggestions: D.Glass, N.Maxwell, D.Grimes – someone tough and manly.

3. Ryan Crowley (TAGGER) $298,500 ($5,500) B/E: 58 AVG: 71.2 LAST 3: 47, 67, 69

For the 4675 coaches whom picked Mr. Crowley, I have terrible news. Gary Ablett will not be lining up against Fremantle this week and the news from the Dockers is this is a complete joke. This is just a reminder to everyone out there that is Dream Teaming, we say no to taggers too! Just like the great man Gazza (get well soon xx), this type of player is not welcome in our teams. Actually, it’s a pity we can’t pick a player to tag in our oppostions Dream Team… would you do it?

Trade Non-Suggestions: H.Hocking, C.Jones, B.Reilly

4. Matthew Kreuzer (RUC) $326,600 ($600) B/E: 100 AVG: 74.8 LAST 3: 72, 51, 61

Ok, so maybe I am being a little harsh. But if you think about it, im actually being smart. I have Kreuzer and will cop a huge cinnamon flavoured donut this. Makes it worse is that he hasnt performed as well as i’d hoped. Is this guy really going to be staying in your team all year? I dont think so. Maybe we swallow our pride now before he burns us more coin when he returns, damn i wish that wasnt the case.

Trade Non-Suggestions: Has got to be H.Mac. Just has to be. Doesn’t it?

5. Tom Couch (MID) $85,800 ($0) B/E: 0 AVG: 0 LAST 3: –

If you play for Melbourne, your team can’t win a game, you are a mature age rookie, your dad is Paul Couch and you have busted your balls to get to AFL level. Then seriously, what do you have to do?! Having a rookie sitting on the pine in your dream team is effectively costing you money, and even though he is bargain basement, he has to go. I had him, I traded him last week. I feel ripped off, give the damn kid a change Demons, what have you got to lose?!

Trade Suggestions: D.Pfeiffer is the most obvious (assuming he gets a gig this week).

SHOW ME THE MONEY – TOP 5

1. Devon Smith (MID/FWD) $240,400 ($119,200) B/E: 55 AVG: 65.8 LAST 3: 87, 62, 39

The moment we saw the green vest, we knew he would be in this position. FFS Sheeds. Pull your head in! There are thousands (106,000 to be exact) that have this kid in their Dream Teams and you went and stuck a poofy vest on him. You should have given him the week off like A.Kennedy. With the 1 and a half quarters Devon played, he racked up 39 for us, an honorable effort! He might go up between $5,000-$10,000 this week, but to me, not enough reward. Thanks Devon for your service. For me, you are the first cash cow to be cashed in.

DTSM Farewell Tour: NOW

Starting Value: $121,200

2. Rhys Stanley (FWD) $275,600 ($111,400) B/E: 65 AVG: 75 LAST 3: 88, 52, 62

In all fairness, Rhys is averaging 75. But his last 2 games have been below average and his B/E is creeping up. Isn’t going to be a keeper in my eyes, so the time is near you either up or downgrade. Has been very serviceable and made around the same amount as Devon, as his starting price was slighty higher.

DTSM Farewell Tour: NOW

Starting Value: $164,200

3. Chad Winguard (MID) $167,500 ($10,300) B/E: 41 AVG: 40.2 LAST 3: 46, 20, 48

Was I harsh last week? In Dream Team terms? No way! The kid will be a superstar, but he just hasn’t been productive for us coaches and last weeks 48 proved my point again. He has also been dropped (due to a Shoulder injury). So time to (if you didnt last week) trade the other Chad out.

DTSM Farewell Tour: NOW

Starting Value: $157,200

4. Billie Smedts (FWD/DEF) $113,300 ($9,100) B/E: 34 AVG: 30 LAST 3: 50, 36, 4

Scored 4 last week. Yes 4. I am not even sure what the points were from. Maybe he was thrown into the ruck and got 4 hit-outs? Maybe he wanted a hug and the scorers got confused that it looked like a tackle? Yes he was the sub, but he scored 4. That will kill you over the next few weeks if he even plays a game. Upgrade, downgrade, do whatever you can, money wasted otherwise.

DTSM Farewell Tour: NOW

Starting Value: $104,200

5. Adam Kennedy (MID/FWD) $198,500 ($94,300) B/E: 30 AVG: 71 LAST 3: 72, 58, 41

Named on the ground this week for GWS after getting a week off. Could back and kill it like round 1, so let’s all cross our fingers he can earn us some more money! His time is nearing an end, go out swinging AK!

DTSM Farewell Tour: 2-3 Weeks.

Starting Value: $104,200

THE BARGAIN BIN – TOP 5

The bin is back! Now, there are so many players that have dropped in price, naturally. I am selecting the top 5 one’s i believe are the best. Just because Josh Kennedy has dropped nearly $100k in price, doesn’t make him a perfect pick-up. Or does it? Let’s see who I give with this week…

1. Steve Johnson (FWD) $431,200 ($98,800) B/E: 106 AVG: 80.4 LAST 3: 60,92, 81

Has averaged over 92 the past 5 years. Is a marvel and loves to explode with some huge scores. Just building himself up and like the Cats, hasn’t been the best start to the new year. But Stevie J is a champion and all champions find their form, I have no doubt he will do just that.

2. Paul Chapman (FWD/MID) $437,600 ($67,700) B/E: 81 AVG: 91.6 LAST 3: 58, 100, 102

Chappers! Has only had one score below 90 all year! What is he doing in here? Because he hasnt had any massive scores. So if you are more of a Chapman fan than Stevie J, lock him in!! The guy is a DT god. Just don’t think about his hamstrings, that is all.

3. Dean Cox (RUC) $443,600 ($88,400) B/E: 132 AVG: 88 LAST 3:  72, 81, 74

The big bird will drop a little more in price this week, but, rucks are dropping like flies and Cox is holding it all together! Mumford, Sandilands, Kreuzer… FFS! We all love a bit of Cox, so get a Cox into your team now!

4. Nick Dal Santo (MID) $442,500 ($69,900) B/E: 120 AVG: 91.2 LAST 3: 83, 73, 94

Anyone who drinks a million powerades before a game has got to be considered for selection right?! Been sub-par scores so far this year but Nicky Dal will be fine. With everyone having the same midfield, why not be slightly more unique and throw in the powerade punisher! Might drop a little more in price this week but his B/E of 120 is attainable by his standards.

5. Scott Pendlebury (MID) $512,100 ($64,800) B/E: 95 AVG: 110 LAST 3: 62, 124, 113

Isn’t in your team? *facepalm* Has only had one score below 113 this year. And that was his lowest in 4 years. Pendlebury is a superstar. Just get him in.

TWEET-A-TRADE

A new little segment to get my followers on twitter involved. Looking at a specific player, heard rumours, need to go unique? Starting from next week, Tweet me on a Wednesday night after 8pm with the #DTSM hashtag and a player you want me to talk about and I’ll pick the best 3 to get in the #DTSM.

I think ROK is about to explode. He had a slow start to the year and the Swans have seemed to slowly increase his production in games. Plus, the way the Swans are travelling atm, the board is much more even and less is relied upon him. If you can fit 2 Swans into your FWD line (check the bye round) and want to be a little different, could pay off. His B/E this week is only 85 and at $377,900, could be the cheapest you get him for awhile!

Has had 3 solid games over 90+ and 2 shockers. Priced now only a grand more expensive than the man above, after dropping a touch under $65k, he is another one top seriously consider. With so many MID/FWD DPP players at our disposal, it’s more so rolling the dice and hoping the player we go with, ends up with the chocolates. Now onto the pick of the 3…

Kev! You greedy bastard! Fancy getting all 3 players on the list?! Let’s talk Christensen. The kid can play, he is tough and wants the ball in his hands. I think he is similar to Fyfe, just happens to not be injured atm. At $363,300, he is a tad cheaper than the 2 mentioned aboved. My only worry is his head might get taken off at some stage oh and the fact 2 blokes called Steve Johnson and Paul Chapman (proven DT performers) are cheap atm and play the same position. Ahhh, so much to think about.

Don’t forget to get around me on twitter!

  • Fantastic read as usual and always my favourite article.

Went D Smith > Chappy and Ablett > Murphy (forced due to LTI)

  • I’m FIRSTy, need water stat

    • Fail.

    • epic fail

      • Yes twas a bit of a fail in the end

Oh well, at least I had a crack

        • FAIL, you are a prized goose, its plebs like you that waist oxygen and cause our economy to fail, just looked on Google for the definition of DIPSHIT and bam, there was a prized photo of you.

    • The only thing worse that a FIRST is a second FIRST.

      Be ashamed.

    • Surprised to see Stanley on the list. Certain starter and pretty much a shoe in for your 7th Forward until after the bye’s.

Particularly since there’s not much worth downgrading to.

    • craaaaaow

  • So newb here so if anyone can answer…

I have Hall, Treloar and Dickson in my fwds so likely to finish with a donut (its ok I’m not burning a trade for measly points) but I have Smedts on the pine in my backs.

If I make him an emergency as a DPP player can I get his points as a forward?

(I’m predicting not but using wishful thinking)

  • Harsh call on D.Smith – he played 34% TOG and scroed 39 last week, however if he beocmes the vestman ala Gaff, B.Smith then agree he’s gotta go – boys a talent & to me is more consistent than Kennedy

  • Great work Aki. I just heard Gazza had his run and his whole leg fell off so I’m bringing in Robbo who should smash the Giants!
What are your thoughts on Birchall? Is he too risky this year or do we think he’ll come back long and strong?
Spot on with the Couch call by the way but I’ll have to keep him, use him as my DPP link and hope that as soon as Melbourne stitches up the wooden spoon Neeld will finally give the guy a go!

  • Who to trade out;
    – D Smith
    – J Porplyzia
    ??

    • smith, easily

      • Neither

        • Neither??
          Why not?

          • Smith still has plenty of cash to gain and good JS and whats Porp done wrong? (still cash to be made there too)

          • Porps injury concern missing last week and there being questions about whether he will take his place this week or be another late withdrawal….
I will admit that Smith probably has more money to make, just a bit concerned by his vesting last week…

    • If you haven`t used many trades, go for it , but I`m inclined to hang on to both for now……Trades will be real important this year imo

      • Thanks for the help man,
I agree, come later in the year trades will be gold.

  • Lots to ponder. Cheers.

  • Went Fyfe to Clancee Pearce initially, but changed to Christensen. Lower BE, Lower price.

Probably be uppercutting myself next week.

As for the Made in North Korea Kreuz missile…for rucks sake!

  • Hey Aki – what about Scott Thompson – b/e 69 with an ave 110???

  • I just can’t help but feel that D Smith has another 80k to make

  • what about syliva…. could be a good premo to watch out for… will be a cheap premo in a couple of weeks..

he pumped out a 44 in just over an quarter…

  • Smith upgrade to Stevie J or Sidebum? Already have Chappers.

    • Stevie J needs do to something first……the bum has beeen doing far better thus far

  • Richards > waters

    Ablett > swan

    Should work for now

  • Got Hall, Smith, Treloar and Couch in my fwd line. I’m thinking of Smith>Dangerfield. Don’t have any fwd’s with a rd 11 bye (except Treloar)
    Is this a wise move?
Also, what sort of ranking do u think warrants a double trade to not have donuts. Only got 19 left but in the top 3k and really don’t wanna slide, and have a hard league game this week too and haven’t had a loss yet

  • Great article and it gave me an idea.

Ablett -> Chapman and upgrade Smith to ROK. My midfield and forward line all of a sudden look quite dangerous. Thoughts?

    • ROK YUK IMO

Swans are killing it and it will probably turn around soon for him though. But do you want to be the test pilot for it?

      • I have $200,000 left so who would you recommend instead of ROK?

        • Depends who you have. List your fwds.

          • I had Franklin, Pav, Danger, Martin, Porps, Cameron and D Smith. I ended up going with Robinson instead of ROK although now I have a lot less cash remaining.

  • For those of you who have Kreuzer then cop the donut this week. If you bring in HMac then you will have 2 donuts in round 11 if Giles is your 2nd ruck.

    • Good call…A donut now or later…I`m happy to take one this week

  • Should I trade Jack Redden?, his not scoring as well as I liked. I’m thinking Hayes but I’m not sure if I should trade him at all.

    • +1 i’ve had redden from beginning and its just been a downhill slope, as soon as we trade he will get his form back, with scores like this compared to last year there is always a reason, injury/ GF issues etc, just wish they would come out and tell us so we can confidently trade

  • What priority are these players to get in as it stands with their current prices?

    Robinson
    Stevie J
    Steeley
    Beams
    Pearce
And who ever else around that range?

    • Forgot Hammyman.

    • Paul “TWAAANG” Chapman hasnt been kicking as many goals this year but has still bin alright in my team.

Robbo was my trade-in for Fyfe n he has bin superb.

I don’t trust Stevie or Pearce n Collingwood forwards don’t fit my bye structure…

Bro, thoughts on Gablett > Pendlebury trade*?

Could use the coin elsewhere better than chasing a tubby Swan around the pond…

*pending results of Gazza’s run test today…

      • I missed the fyfe to robbo hop due to other injuries. He would have been the one, and has been bothering me for weeks since cancelled that trade so i think now is the chance. Sorry for his crap score this week.

As for you Beamer, its hard to say, Swan should be your priority but Pendles has been quiet and he’s one person who NEVER is so it might actually be a good chance to jump on. If you not covering other holes then I suppose now is a good chance to get on Pendles.
I think you can afford to go without Ablett for a short time. I would get him out but are plugging holes caused by Fyfe and D Smith.

I can’t beleive you don’t have one or the other. Bit of a brain fart at in the preseason huh?

      • Still might hit reverse trade but I have done the unthinkable and traded Ablett to Pendles and Smith becomes Robinson. I am justifying trading Ablett out by saying at least we have 24 trades instead of the old 20 lol. Maybe Ablett could be the super sub vs the GWS and come on and score a quick 50 to win the game and then procede to lose 100K in value.

    • Robinson then sidebottom need to be in your top 7 forwards by end of year imo

      • Cool already have sidey and stevie j so robbo it is I’m thinking.

Unfortunatley to do this I also inherit a premature Adams.

  • It’s that Morris/Ellis coin flip time again. Who is everyone playing?

    • Always Ellis for me.
Check out my previous comment on your post mate, im chasing some feedback…

  • Hey guys looking at two trades this week – 22 trades left, $119,000 in the bank, ranked 2413 but mainly going for a league win.

    1. Ablett to Murphy – like many expect Murphy to chop up vs GWS, gives me another captaincy option and $30K and I will get Ablett back in soon costing 1 trade and his price may drop.

Mids are Swan, Pendles, Ablett, Gibbs, McDonald, Shiel (Magner, Coniglio)

    2. Fyfe to Robinson – leaves me with $79,600
    Fyfe to Chappy – $126,400
    Fyfe to Johnson – $132,800
Fyfe to Christensen – $200,700 which means I could straight swap D Smith for a premo next week.

Forwards: Sidebum, Buddy, Martin, Goodes, Smith, Fyfe, Kennedy (Hall, Treloar). Cheers and good luck this week

    • I think Robbo is a priority, but I think with my heart not my head.

Most number crunchers would probably say Chappy first then Stevie J and Christensen or vise versa due to their prices. Stevie J has been effin painful since the start of the year for me.

  • I’m looking to trade Gaz for an underpriced forward, something like $430k and below. Who is the best option out of Cloke, ROK and Pavlich? (I already have Zaha and Dusty) Any other suggestions?

    • How can Gaz be traded for Cloke?

      • It’s pretty simple, you just need to move one of your M/Fs (DSmith, Treloar, etc) into the midfield.

        • I’m not following you either. I think you’ve only explained half of your Cloke aquisition.

Cloke isn’t DPP but obviously your aware.

          • You trade out Ablett, then click the S next to a M/F you already have (in your forward line) that moves them into the midfield which opens up a space in your forward line. Then you are able to trade in any forward. This is the definition of the new “3-way” trading rule brought in this year.

          • u mean to say u don’t get the way trading goes this yr but u post shit all the time and give out advise!!
            Hahahahahahaha bwah hahahahahah

    • Can you afford Chappy?

      • My situation with money is a bit delicate. Technically I can afford anyone, but I’m trying to keep enough money so I can do

        Rnd 7
        Greene to Horsley
        Rnd 8
Cameron/DSmith to Mitchell (erasing the M/F link this trade would create)

Obviously it’s hard to predict future prices, but my calculations tell me that getting Chappy would make the Mitchell upgrade unlikely. Of course, Mitchell could smash out a 150 this week which would throw a spanner in the works anyway.

        • Well Im doing the same Ablett to Chappy (News about him being out longer today would help with this) and then see how I go with the cash I have left over and either Smith/Porps to another 430k player next week (approx), I got rid of my DPP link early on in the season and it hurt at stages so thats why I want another one with Chappy plus hes averaging 90+

Maybe ROK out of the three you have picked but I would like to watch him play another week to see if he gets a decent score again

  • Heres my situation, due to injuries and poor choices with my initial team I’m already down to 17 trades. I have C.Smith, Coniglio and Shiel in the mid. Is it worth trading one of those three out for McDonald?

    • Last week would have been better, but the answer is still yes in my opinion.

McDonald is still great value for what he has been scoring.

    • no. you missed the boat. save your trades.

      • If he was a number 1 draft pick priced at $180k, had an average of 90ish and was on the bubble this week would you trade to him?

This question is completely identical to whether to get him in this week or not. If your answer to this is still no then fair enough, but McDonald has the potential to be a very valuable player. You can’t let the fact that you could have got him at a better price (or that most of the competition did) alter your decision making.

A player who can average 90 for $180k is still worth considering very strongly.

  • What is everyones thoughts on the best forward. I have Franklin, Robinson, Martin, Dangerfield, Sidebottom at the moment.

Looking at trading D. Smith up and have enough cash to get anyone. Is the extra cash for Johnson/Chappy/Beams etc worth it over Zaha.

Seems to have hit a bit of form and doubt he will be this cheap again.

    Cheers

  • Heres my situation, due to injuries and poor choice with my initial team I’m already down to only 17 trades. In the mids I have Shiel, Coniglio and C.Smith. Is it worth trading out one of those three for McDonald

    • Sorry for posing this twice. Didn’t think I clicked submit first time around.

      • you’ve missed the boat on mcdonald mate, wate for horsley next week

    • Well then another issue. Assuming I don’t go for Mcdonald. Currently I have Fyfe traded out for D.Martin as I’m $300 short of Robinson. Is it worth trading out Smedts for Wilkes and hope to have Ellis out before RD13 so that I can get robbo instead and hopefully avoid getting an extra 0 come the bye?

Can’t go the popular Collingwood or Geelong guys instead of Fyfe like I would have preferred since I mucked up on the byes originally.

Yes I do realize I suck by the way. Forgive me I’m a DT rookie who didn’t do his research properly.

  • Latest on Ablett anyone?

  • The important thing is…we take this fight seriously. Nobody can offer better resistance then the Spartans that are you and I. Yes we have different opinons and yes our suggestive ideas collide…. the end product is nothing worse then spirited ideas and egos.

When many men look for leadership through the experienced gateways of King Leon and BennyFC one must swipe away the hysteria and forget the consensus.

  • Decision time.

    $146,000 in bank.

Wanting to trade in Pendlebury for Shiel/Greene, since Pendles is cheap now.

In order to do this, I must downgrade Smith. Should I bring in Zorko or Pfieffer?
Does anyone know if Zorko will start getting games soon? Or does anyone know if Pfieffer is going to get many more games, seeing as though he is listed last on extended bench this week?

    Thanks

    • Pendles BE is 95, Shiel is -1 & Greene is 19. No rush if the price of Pendles is your concern!!

      • While this trade is unlikely to get more expensive, you also have to consider the extra scoring having Pendlebury for this week will give you (expected gain of 30-40 I would imagine) and balance that against the money you could save.

However, this year there is an extra factor in that job security is more important than ever for rookies. With the bye rounds coming up, any rookie who is out of the team will cost you an extra 2 donuts on top of how many you will cop anyway. So rushing an upgrade now with Pfeiffer or Zorko could turn out to be very costly.

        • This is true, but I have tough league matches this week so I think I need Pendlebury for the extra 30-40, plus I will likely make him as captain if he comes in.

Just worried about whether Zorko or Pfieffer will get games in the future. I know Pfieffer is iffy, so I don’t think I will go with him, but Zorko has just come back from injury is Ressies and is killing it. So hoping he can get a run in seniors soon and keep his spot.
Anyone know any more info on Zorko?

Thought Tom Couch also, but doesn’t look like Melb are too interested in him at the moment.

  • I would just like to say Thank you,
    Thank you SMJ & Fyfe ;

  • Kreuzer into the Carlton squad for Warnock.

Good news (is it?) if you have Kreuzer.

  • Hey guys,

In a bit of a dilemma this week. My whole team looks pretty set for the round, except my forwardline. I really don’t want to use any trades, as i only have 18 left. This is my forwardline…

    M. Robinson, S. Sidebottom, L. Franklin, P. Dangerfield, A. Goodes, D. Smith, A. Kennedy, (A. Hall, T. Dickson)

As you can see… I have zero cover. And i have D. Smith (extended bench) on the field. Do you guys think both he and Kennedy will get a full run?

Also…. What on earth are people doing with Dickson? Calv, Warnie and Roy all have him and so do alot of other people… Are people just sticking with him until he starts playing?

    • I think Smith is gonna be alright. I reckon he will have a full game.

  • For those trading out Kreuzer, get him back in! He’s been named to play instead of Warnock

    • Aha so it was just a feint by North Korea, the Kreuz missile still does work…to bad it only explodes with a puff of smoke and gives me 50-60DT points…ahh well, least I wont have to burn a trade.

  • trade ablett out????????????/

    • I think if you were gonna do it, you should have done it last week. But all you people laughed at us and said he’ll be back straight away. I think you might as well stick with him now. Since he will either be back for the Giants game or the Dogs game.

      • It all depends on your analysis of his condition. If you think he will be back at full strength next week, then of course keep him. However, he didn’t look good on the footy show, so I’m leaning heavily towards trading him this week. Similar to something I said earlier, just because it was a better move last week, doesn’t make it wrong this week.

        • thanks alot boys, ye last week there was the possibility of him returning this week or next but it by the sounds of things gcfc aernt in a rush to bring him back. Should i bring in pendles and save the 80k odd or go with swanny?

        • Agreed Ports, I have him and held him with cover last week but may trade him this week. If i didn’t already have Swan it may have changed my mind last week.
It seems that it may be bit worse than Ablett himself 1st thought, and along the lines of dr’s initial reports.

          • I have 3 tough games in the next 3 weeks and am now considering trading ablett to help my chances of winning these games. Tossing up between swan and Murphy, thoughts?

          • thanks mate, im going with trading him
            fyfe-chapman
            gaz-pendles
            70k left, thoughts?

  • Thoughts gentlemen…

    Fyfe -> Zaha or Christensen
    D.Smith -> Pffffffer

Pros – Gives me $260k in the bank to upgrade a Shiel next week to a Barlow and strenghten my mids
Cons – I’d have to put Pffffer on the field and cop a donut if he doesn’t play

    OR

    Fyfe -> Zaha
    D.Smith -> Christensen

Pros – Gives me two decent forwards I can immediately put on the field and just about finishes my forwards off
Cons – only leaves me $25k in the bank meaning a mid-field upgrade would have to wait (Boyd, Pendles, Rockliff, Ablett (bench) so relying on McDonald, Magner, Greene/Shiel on the field)

  • Was planning to go D. Smith -> Chappy with $80,000 still in the bank, but just had a look at it, I’ve got enough money to go A. Hall to Chappy with no real funds left over.

Do you think this is the better move due to the fact that Hall’s JS is looking shaky, even though he’s got more money to be made?

    Suggestions?

  • Have a look at the photo of Kruezer on attach article……..no wonder he struggles sometimes!! :-)

  • what are peoples thoughts on Taylor Adams?
    Cheers…

    • I’m doing it out of need, but not too worried as he keeps my dpp alive and also Kyal Horsely hatches next week (if plays) so he hopefully will be the up/downgrade in the mids next week with another dpp so i still have cover.

  • I’m thinking of:

    Ablett to Barlow
    Fyfe to Chapman

    next week
    Magner to horsely

    Then when ablett comes back
    Greene to Ablett

    Thoughts??

  • Is is worth trading out Coniglio yet? He’s been a DT disappointment in my view.

  • Brought in rocky for ablett, then traded chad cornes ( aka oxygen thief) out for chappy..
Next weeks upgrade d smith and probably downgrade magner to horsely..
    Loving ya work Aki
