  • just thought another comment about Broughton would suffice.

I’m going to keep him, if he hacks around for a 60ish score against Brisbane on the massive Subiaco Oval, definetly gone.

He has played against Geelong, and Sydney, the latter being on a tiny field.

Expecting a decent showing from him this week, willing to risk a price drop because the only player I am currently looking to trade him out for because of the mid season byes would be Beau Waters, who will probably score 150 against ‘Guaranteed Wooden Spoon’ (quoted by someone on this page earlier this week, I liked it)

    • Also, very suprised nobody utilised karmichael Hunt for a pun on that great first post earlier this week.

Due to the level of maturity on this page, was expecting someone to pull out a sentence with ‘Khunt’

  • A) Dickson to A. Kennedy

    B) Broughton to Hargrave

    C) Heater to Goddard

Which 2 options should I go with

    • A & B. Heater will come good, his scores always go up and down. The other two are more urgent IMO.

  • Hey everyone….Loving DT Talk.

    What are people thoughts on

    1. broughton and coniglio (have now)
    2. carazzo/birchall and greene

Thoughts?? is it worth the trades? Just not comfortable with Broughton!

    Thanks

    • Those trades are being mentioned regularly, I think it is pretty solid. The only possible issue is that it now gives you an extra premium defender with the R13 bye (assume you already have two of Scotland, Goddard and Delidio) so that will require some management.

  • Please help

    Hale for Stephenson
    Then
    Watson for mcarthie

    Or

    Scotland for Scott selwood
    Then
    Hale for Ryder
    ???

  • everyone thinking of getting rid of braughton, i know he has had a shocking start to the year, hes been playing a negative role, but we all know he can gun it, he had a slow start last year, and an average of over 90 and a last score against brisbane of 139, think again, im not saying dont, but think you did pick him for a reason!!

    • I think Lyon is going to play him in a lock down vs all the big clubs so he is looking at half his games ave around 70. I was under the impression he was going to have a loose midfield role. now mundy is back in…….maybe even less midfield time.
Additionally he is about to drop around $30,000 :(

      • true but i think the main contributions to his scores are grounds, i.e he loves paterson, besides first game vs geelong, he averages 90 or above again every opposition at patersons except 2 where he still averages over 80

    • let them trade him out, will be so funny to see everyone trade him back in a few weeks time lol

  • Hale for Stephenson
    Then
    Watson for mcarthie

    Or

    Scotland for Scott selwood
    Then
    Hale for Ryder
    ???

  • Hey guys, long time reader, first time poster.

Keen to get Greene in obviously, could out Callinan although I think he will have a good year.

    Thoughts?

    • Callinan is a tried, proven, hard, seasoned multi premiership player..got a lot of time for him. Damned if I know what he was doing last week..20 something points from a full game baffled me.

    • If he’d scored a 21 first round, then came out with a 99 would you still wanna trade him? He’s still probably going to rise in value, and there aren’t many forward rookies smashing it up so leave him be for another round or two.

  • G’day,
Like help with a trade for J Butcher or Smedts, with Milera being name 4 on interchange

    cheers [_])

    Harps

    • You might as well keep smedts and cash in the price increase and suffer the duck egg

      • Okay Smedts named 6th on interchange bench! So must have a real good chance of a game!
Anyone have ideas on whom to replace Butcher/Smedts with? 33k in bank.
        Cheers [_])

        Harps

        • p,s. what price rise when/if he comes back he will go up by what around $2/5k. I want money as well as points.

  • Im thinking about Trading Sidebottom to Cornes. i know it is slight sideways trade… BUT
    +30 points ave so far
+ collingwood arent performing so sidebottom isnt getting the ball i thought he woud
    +$110K for trading them
+ cornes is going to go up about $50K and sidebottom down $10k

    thoughts

    • Over the next 20 weeks, I think you’ll get more out of Sidebottom then you will Cornes.

    • me gusta

    • Those trades send your team backwards not forwards! Sidebottom is doing fine, Surely there are bigger worries in your team.

    • sidey should be a whole year player, how long will cornes last and opposition will pick up on him dropping off his player

  • Traded out two players this week who didn’t get the role I thought they would.

    Broughton > Hargrave
    Hale > Barlow

    • noob, get barlow in 3 weeks when he bottoms out

      • His bottom price is going to be about 20k lower than it is at the moment. I think I’d rather have the points.

      • Barlows price drop is offset by Broughtons likely drop also. It’ll still probably be an even trade in a couple of weeks. I heard he said he was at full fitness, so is likely to avoid vest and pull out a proper score. Think its a pretty solid move really.

  • Will ryder really keep this form up?

    • Interesting to see with Bellchambers in. Bellchambers is going to play predominantly in the middle, because I don’t think he’s as versatile as Ryder and Hille, so Ryder might get stuck with a key forward role until Hille is back.

  • Can ryder keep this form

    • its the 2100+ question … Ive had him 2 years prior and badly burnt with his inconsitency. Could be his year though especially with hille out.

  • Alright so not much choice:

    Swampducks:
DEF: Delidio Birchall Scotland Hargrave Golby Ellis Townsend Paine Boumann
MID: Pendlebury Mitchell Thompson Boyd Bartel Redden Magner McDonald
    RUCK: Kreuzer Hale Giles Redden
FWD: Fyfe Franklin Sidebottom Smith D Hall Dickson Smedts Kerridge Couch
    $102700 in Salary Cap remaining

I swapped Smedts to Def to Paine Fwd
I Swapped Hale to Fwd For Dickson
    Traded Longer in
Traded A Kennedy in to Fwds

DEF: Delidio Birchall Scotland Hargrave Golby Ellis Townsend Smedts (E) Boumann
MID: Pendlebury Mitchell Thompson Boyd Bartel Magner Redden (E) McDonald
RUCK: Kreuzer Giles Redden Longer (E)
FWD: Fyfe Franklin Sidebottom Smith D Hall Hale Kennedy Kerridge Couch
    $47700 in Salary Cap remaining

Can’t believe couch isn’t playing, Kerridge may & Smedts looks possible as Emergency or Sub

I think its the best I could do to ensure 22 on field.

Big question is who do i bench in Midfield I think Redden may be the one against Freo, the Magent against Richmond could do better than he has.

    Have Lids as Captain

    Alright unleash the criticism

    • Big thanks to Warnie for the help with the DPP trades big save…

      • Looks like no one wants to touch this with a ten foot greasy pole. Good thing I have conversations with myself …

  • Deledio, Broughton, Waters, Shaw, Hargrave, Bugg, Clarke (Morris, Ellis)
Ablett, Pendlebury, Boyd, Rockliff, Magner, Coniglio (McDonald, Shiel)
    Cox, Giles (Redden, Stephenson)
Fyfe, Franklin, Martin, Robinson, Sidebottom, Porplyzia, Kennedy (Smith, Dickson)

Scores of 2086 & 2120 so far. No trades as yet. Only $300 in the bank!

As with most, the dilemma is Broughton, Shaw and whether to bring in Greene. I’ve read pretty much every single comment here since Sunday night and am not a whole lot closer!

    Options:

    1. Coniglio -> Greene so I can use the $40k to go Broughton -> Birchall (keep Shaw)
    2. Coniglio -> Greene so I can use the $40k to go Shaw -> Goddard/Scotland (keep Broughton)
    3. Coniglio -> Greene, keep both Shaw & Broughton
    4. No trades, keep Coniglio, Shaw & Broughton

    I’m leaning towards option 1.

    Thoughts?

  • Hey guys,

Been reading up on the injury lists all over the net and looking for any comments or news relating DAYNE ZORKO. The guy is a ghost, can not find a thing, is listed as ‘Test’ and is not named for this round, struggling to see how he will fit into the brisbane line up. Anyone know when he is expected to play a game or even any news at all on the bloke, may need to consider trading him out for someone else. Cheers

    • Hi Guys,

Advice appreciated thoughts on Jackson Paine – Jeremy Cameron

First time poster, thanks for all the hard work the DT lads put into the site been using it for years!

  • im wanting to get out Dickson. But to do so i have to double trade which i dont really want to do.
i only have $500 left over so i can get a descent rookie for Dickson.
    Coniglio to Greene
    and
    Dickson to Milera

are my option. i think i might just leave my team alone
    thoughts?

  • Should i trade out Coniglio for the Greene Machine or JMac? I know that if i chose mcdonald i could wait another week but if i did it now i could upgrade duffield to someone like birchall

    please help??

    • Cogs to Greene the money making move this round. Dont waste precious trades on a certain doughnut (JMac) this week… and at least wait till tomorrow arvo before any trades. I’m amazed at how many have traded Cogs/Greene before GWS submits final team… Sure, Greene will prob play but you never know

  • Thoughts on the Docherty to Greene trade. Lose the Mid-Def Link on the midfield and lose 4k

  • I am contemplating the worst idea. Trading out a PREMIUM for a PREMIUM. I selected M. Priddis based on his consistency and his top 10 finish (total score) last season. He is being ‘rested’ against GWS this week and I am considering Boyd or Pendlebury in his place. (Yes, I probably should have started with one or both of them, but I didn’t). Need some convincing to not trade him. Fire away

    • I’ll assume you have a Magner, or Greene, or Smith(s) on bench? It’s a long season and you dont wanna trade everytime someone gets rested. Use the bench, save the trades… unless its to correct a poor rookie choice

  • i have a dilemma! I have Mumford as my premium ruck and kreuzer as my second ruck. I have a three options:

    In: Ryder Out : Mumford
    In: Greene Out: Dickson or

    In: Waters/Hurn Out: Broughton
In Ryder Out : Mumford or

    In: Waters/Hurn Out: Broughton
    In: Greene Out: Dickson.

Which is my best option? I have only 10000 left in my salary cap

    • Why do you want to get rid of Mumford this week? Option 3 is ok although even then it would be better if you could trade up Broughton to a Birchall or similar (without knowing your team) rather than to Waters (not Hurn) unless you need the cash.

    • Honestly, Mumford is not really a problem in your team. He caused problems last week, but it’s too late to fix that now. If you’re still worried about Mumford then I’d just name a ruck emergency this week. Trading Broughton down so you can find the cash to turn Dickson into Greene sounds like a good idea to me.

  • Have just traded Hale for Kreuzer and am considering ditching Shaw for Birchall. I wouldn’t mind giving Shaw a bit more time but his price will drop by at least 30k this week so will it be worth a trade to save some money (and peace of mind)…Any thoughts?

    • I think it might be worth the price drop to see how he goes with maxwell back in the team..

  • What is Mileras job security like? I want to get rid of Dickson but can only really afford Milera.. and i can’t do that dpp thingy..

    • named as 4th on the bench is all I can say. So who knows?

    • It has to be Milera then.
Remember, the DPP trade for Green is also fraught with danger as coaches lose their DPP option!

      • Hey BurgerKing, what’s your team name, I need to find out which are the must have rookies this season….

  • does anybody know when the updated Sunday Teams are out?

  • Hey what r the odds of duffeild being the sub/ subbed do u think?

  • Does anyone think that it may be worth trading puopolo for yarran.

  • collingwood by 28 points.
cloke to star for my forward line with 118 dt points he he.
all u downbottom owners will be thinking i took the wrong colliwobble.

unfortunely at this point i luck out with the wrong wobbley in the mid in swan.

  • I am about to fucking murder Pendles… What a crab.
