  • Kerridge is starting to look interesting with the crows cruisey draw.

  • why no kavagnah?

  • Now the real shit begins…Crows such a tall Fwd line. Pies will lose this.

  • lot of kids fallen by the wayside already…..

atleast we will know more about who gets a game round 1

  • Are Essendon going to turn up on Friday to play or not???????????

  • Bad sign theres no Baguley or Dell’Olio for the Bummers!!

  • loving it that swanny isn’t dt relevant anymore according to this :P
so sad that luke brown isn’t getting a gig! at least it means he’ll be a downgrade target later in the year!

    • Haha. Should have highlighted him (along with a truckload of others)… look out for a Swanny article with Calvin tomorrow!

    • I doubt anyone would be watching him anyway. Doesn’t seem to take NAB cup seriously, so that’s not gonna sway you either way.

  • Shaw missing…Hope he doesnt watch the game at his local TAB…

    • There may be more than one DT-relevant Shaw to be concerned about…

      • Do you think Sam will get games?

        • i think he is talking about me… Winning the car

        • Sam Shaw’s been promising as a third tall in the backline during the NAB Cup. Otten struggled last year, and Sanderson may want to give him a few weeks in the SANFL, particularly after his knee knock about a month ago.

Shaw is probably the most like-for-like replacement for him, and could well have the chance to debut before other touted young players like Kerridge and Brown (who are fighting for the more hotly contested spots in the midfield and back pocket respectively).

Never know, Drewshaw might win the car too.

  • Players who have scored enough in NAB to be considered for rookie/midpricer spots so far:

    ESS
    Nil

    SYD
    H. Cunningham (MID) $85,800

    ADE
    J. Porplyzia (FWD) $202,500
    S. Kerridge (MIDFWD) $98,700
    P. Dangerfield (MIDFWD) $349,800
    B. Smith (DEF) $261,800
    J. Jenkins (RUC) $104,200
    T. Lynch (FWD) $243,400
    S. Shaw (DEF) $104,200

    COL
    B. Reid (DEF) $329,400
    P. Yagmoor (DEF) $98,700
    N. Maxwell (DEF) $269,000
    J. Ceglar (RUC) $104,200

So I guess there’s a lot more guys to watch in the second game. I admit Reid and Maxy would be “brave” picks, but they did score a lot in a half last week. So it’s really Yagmoor, Ceglar? and a whole lot of interesting Adelaide guys. If Kerridge is named for Round 1 he would have to be a lock.

  • I went for Chris Masten may be a roughie but played and scored really well at the end of the season and now is racking up the possies in nab cup :)

Suggestions about him would be great

    • Was thinking about Masten last night.

I don’t think teams rate is hurt factor so he might be able to rack up a shit load of cheap possies throughout the midfield. Ended last season on fire and started the same way.

Very strongly considering porno moe Masten.

      • jump off Masten. He is injury-prone and too easily knocked off the ball for mine.

    • This could be his year to finally step up he knows he has under-performed his whole career so far and I reckon he’s out to prove his critics wrong this year. Only structure that is keeping him out of my side.

  • Sydney playing four ruckmen again. Expect Mumford to score about 25.

  • still no robbo…

  • Christensen finally getting a gig…

    • Stoked..!!!

Call me idiotic but he currently is sandwiched between Balla, Danger and Porp. Riskit to get the biskit. Or flop and go plop.

    • sssh….but I’m sure some awesome scores will make him stand out…

      • The question is if he spuds up will everyone pile out of the AC train?

        • I hope so. He has to much talent to spud it up all season. Unique will suit me.

  • A few omission this week. Aaron Hall, Devon Smith, Sam Darley, Morris, Adam Treolar are not playing. Pity.

    • Well Devon Smith deserves a week off I reckon, been killing it lately. Have to be in the best 22. Hall had some injury before the pies game I think so there prob playing safe with him. Darley was taken to hospital the other day and was on liquids from possible dehydration so he’s prob rested too. Dylan Shiel is annoying, had no preseason so far, he better be named rd 1

      • How many people are seriously considering selecting Shiel without a game, even if he is named round 1?. I think there is already too many guys to pick from without having to take a risk like that.

        • Well GWS snapped him up when he was 16 so he must be fukn awesome and has been honing his talents for 2 years now, gonna be a machine by all accounts

          • Jack Watts was snapped up young at #1 in the draft…

          • yeah well he’s a fwd, 80% of drafted fwds take a few years to find there shit. he is only 21

    • Darley was admitted into hospital mid week. Havent heard why or if hes still in there

      • Nothing major, dehydration was the issue. Fluids – pretty straight forward stuff. Warnie mentioned it the other day – Twitter.

  • Still no Beams? Almost a certain cross out now.

  • Hall and Sadd aren’t playing again. Still no Shiel or Trelor.

  • Praise the lord! Christensen is gonna play! TOOK HIM A WHILE!

  • Hi guys,

Looking for some actict DT-ier to join 732331. Thus far have 7 players finishing in top 2000, need 11 more.

    Cheers

  • Jurrah…wow a machette really?

  • Mitch Robinson has hamstring tightness as well as back soreness.
    http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/130301/default.aspx

Looks like Robbo is out and Martin is in for now!

  • Like how dusty doesn’t get the red but only gets bold writing. Hargrave not playing….. Some thing must be wrong. Most teams are starting to look similar to the proper ones IMO.

On a side not. Who’s back gws to win. Will be an amazing game…..

    • Well Hargrave dominated and played a whole game so he’ll most likely be rested. If he isnt in the 22 with tom williams out ill change my name to Margaret ;)

      • Haha. Yeh I know. Need to work on my sarcasm. Just trying to uniquify him just that bit more.

    • I haven’t really noticed the other teams but being an eagles supporter i can say that they are not anywhere close to being back to their “normal” side.

Darren Glass, Quinten Lynch, Andrew Gaff, Shannon Hurn, Andrew Embley, Luke Shuey and Josh Kennedy all not playing this weekend..

  • what do u boys reckon, byrnes or porplizia

    • porp

      • u reckopn thell both get a run tho? im thinking of using both, thell both be cash cows

        • Porps for sure. 16 disposals no goals last game. Could signal a move more upfield meaning more possies. Yeh sure there were people missing but hey we can only hope.

  • THE JUDDANAUGHT IS BACK!!!!!!!!
    !

  • Where is Mitch Robinson????

  • one question, why is Dustin Martin highlighted black instead of the normel red?

  • Does anyone know the situation with Barlow? Is he resting or injured? How likely will he be to hit the ground running come rd 1?

    • came up sore in his intra-club match… still yet to to be considered in the NAB. danger signs right there i would stay away

    • i think i read they reckon hes back to full training and will line up round 1, hes been sore but i wouldnt bother, if this is happening now who knows what will happen during the season

      • He will be good when he plays but it’s when he’s not playing is going to be he thing that kills you. I can’t remember where on this site but someone said remember Nathan Brown, after his horrific leg break. Barlow won’t be the same till he has had a year in football getting everything right he played very infrequently last year at the very end. Brown took at least a year or two to even start playing good consistent footy again from memory.

    • My Defenders watchlist. 1 * Little game time 2* Moderate game time 3*lots of game time. Note no Essendon or St kilda players as yet due to “Washout” what is this tennis? cricket?
Players scoring well on a Pt per minute basis above their pricing and maybe worth considering IMO
Although we all know that 1 full game and one what ever you wanna call those silly half games does not a season make.

  • Got all my players playing except for Darley, Morris, Smith and Zorko. Great to see all my guns included.

  • need a mid/def rookie for under $106,200, who do you recommend?

    • “My Team” has many answers little grasshopper…..

    • Brad Harvey Brisbane ($104,200) scored 29 in half a game last week.
Mark Baguley Essendon ($85,800) scored 21 in 1 of those forty minute freakshows the week before
Tim Golds GWS (104,200) scored a measily 15 in half a game last week

Only Def/Mids in that price range that have played NAB so far.

The First two Are rookie listed. and not sure that golds is quite ready for the big time yet,

  • Injury clouds that I can think of (no matter how slight)
