  1. No Armstrong, Christensen spewing was hoping to see a heap of these 2 mid pricers. Good to see Lenny named

  2. How do you get time to post this stuff up if you’re a teacher?

  3. Glad to see Voldt, Selwood, Goodes, Walsh, Wilkes and Smedts are named. However disappointed Enright, AC and Saad aren’t.

On a different note great to see Byrnes playing and it will be interesting to see if Hayes and Monty line up in the midfield together or play in separate games.

  4. good to see Hoags back for the cats…I havnt got him in my current squad, but see how he goes this w/e. least he’s back on top of what was keepin him down for the last few years. good on him!

  5. Interesting to see that Jimmy Bartel is no longer DT relevant. Looks like I have a genuine unique mid on my hands this year. I will LOL hard when Jimmy averages 114+ again this year. :-)

  6. No Christensen, Saad or Armstrong :(
    That’s annoying but ah well
Can’t wait to see Sippos play all news about him is positive (Not really from a DT perspective though)

  7. No Armstrong = anxiety attack lol really sitting on the fence with him.

As far as Morton goes, they have given him number 10… now I know numbers dont mean anything but USUALLY the lower numbers are given to players who are going to play some footy. Well thats one way at looking at it haha

  8. Really wanted to see how Armstrong would go, its between him and Hargrave at the moment.

  9. Damn, Instead of giving Christensen the vest they left him out of the team!
I hope he is not injured or anything..

  10. YAY GEORGE HORLIN SMITH IS IN RED!

sorry, just excited because he went to my school (Pembroke in SA)

  11. Thanks Warnie!

Now, I need to say for all of us WHY THE $%#@ would a REDUCED BENCH in the pre-season be good for football?

The smaller bench is a wank and another example of how the AFL act like the dictatorship that they are.

Does anyone think the clubs or the football public want this? NO.

  12. I’ll be keeping a good eye on you Sammy Gilbert!

  13. Liking the look of the squads so far. Not missing to many names on the radar. Also love how a few names I’m watching aren’t highlighted!!!

  14. Seriously why isn’t Kieren Jack getting any attention, also I’m laughing at people considering Mitch Morton, being a richmond fan. Anyone know things about Christian Howard btw, I like the look of him, Bulldogs are also developing their youth……

  15. why isnt ahmed saad playing i thought he is hot property atm.

also is anything wrong with Stevie J or is he just too good for the NAB cup.

another question is when do league byes take place this year?

  16. cheap midpriced back might be garryn geary, not sure on hargrave, lake or conca. geary is very cheap and i think he’s had a good pre season. anyway i think i might be the only man in the land looking at this guy! only having a peek don’t have him in my team atm!!

  17. So what do you think of Lenny Hayes?

  18. No Campbell Heath in red, I think we could see big things from him, or so swans insiders say.

  19. No Porplyzia is a bit worrying. Have him in my team at the moment, but is only in if he can prove himself.

  20. Gave me
A chuckle seeing no port players highlighted!

  21. Anyone having trouble getting the DT site to load?

  22. Good to see Carlton have gone with a lot of youth really can’t wait to see Dylan Buckley play he’s got a lot of talent but is 60kg and 170 cm :)

  23. What is everyone doing with Rowey? I have him as 4th ruck but thinking moving him to forward line and picking another ruck. My rucks as Kreuzer, Giles, Orren and Rowe.

  24. Off topic, is there any way to find out finisihing positions from last year?

  25. tom curren a first game player is playing in st kildas side and replacing leigh montagna as he is resting.

    • I really really rate him he can play, he’s bulked up his frame to an AFL standard and has good skills. But he is rookie listed and I cant see him going ahead of Ross, Cripps, Ledger, Milera, Saad, Crocker and Newnes (similarish types) but might keep an eye out midseason if he gets a run on in the VFL.

  26. Strange, I though Sam Rowe was injured.

Bit of a bonus that you didn’t highlight Port – all the players I was looking at are in the squad, which includes someone who is likely to get an enormous opportunity at the start of the season.

  27. Any reason luke brown from adelaides not playing?

  28. No love for Ian Callinan I see. He’s in the Rohan, Porplyzia price range and a magnet for the leather! Does anyone have any info on how his stocky little frame is holding up or do his hammy issues scare people off?

  29. IS it worth not getting goddard and saving a bit of dosh and getting someone like a bachar houli?

  30. Definately gonna keep a eye on Beau Wilkes….the bloke is a mad dog!

  31. Im a Port supporter and I agree at the fact that there should be no highlighted players

  32. glad you didn’t highlight port players. there is some smoke in there that i don’t want drifting into general society……

  33. I was going to keep this to my self but hey, I am trying to give collingwood supporters a better name.
Everyone knows about Wingard and Pfeiffer….. but take note of the boy I will call the SNEEZE.

  34. Personally, there will be a few more in the Crows I will be watching. Van Berlo, to see if he can keep his late season form of 2011. Rory Sloane should be a future gun, is it a breakout year for him? Taylor Walker is a future star, once he learns consistency. Can he perform for a new coach? Brodie Smith, if given the opportunity should do well in more than his DT. :-) Be interesting to see how Dangerfield plays having bulked up and playing around the mid/wing. Petrenko/McKay will be interesting, depending on position. And Tommy Lynch, would be a nice pick if he performs like he did in the intra club match.
Agreed with the Port synopsis though…..except I will keep an eye on Pfeiffer.

Having said all that, I just want footy to start already!

  35. I cant really see Saad having much DT relevance this year. I may be wrong but small fwds, or tall fwds for that matter basically have to kick 5 or more goals with their 10 possies to get good scores. He’ll be a good player but not too sure there arent better options out there.

Personally, a fwd from the Saints who I would look @ is the awkwardly priced Crippa. If he nails that half back role in preseason he could give you a lot more upside than a Winderlich or Porpz. Remember his 2011 avg came from being the sub and playing only a 1/4 or so each game.

  36. No Marc Murphy.. Have to be joking right?

  37. Im debating whether Burgoyne is worth the risk. He is around 100k cheaper than Suckling/Birchall, averaged 89 in 2010 and only 70ish in 2011. Thoughts anyone?

  38. how is rory sloane not DT relevant… look at any of the ‘breakout year’ articles on this site and 90% of the time sloaney is mentioned! was absolutely flying at the end of last season and is currently sitting in my team cos i’m not sold on either hayes or barlow atm.
