2012 AFL Prospectus Sneak Peek

The Fantasy Freako has posted a YouTube video which has a sneak peek at the 2012 AFL Prospectus. You can pre-order the Prospectus now over on the Champion Data website.

Apart from being an ad for the book, a few little secrets are out of the bag regarding Dream Team in 2012.

Here are the highlights:

  • Bryce Gibbs loses his DPP.
  • On the Collingwood page, it shows that Steele Sidebottom and Dayne Beams will be classified as MID/FWDs.
  • Another list shows what looks like MID/FWD dual position players. Notable players include Chris Knights, Mitch Robinson, Dayne Zorko, Patrick Dangerfield, Alan Didak, David Zaharakis along with Sidebottom and Beams.
  • GWS stats showed that Anthony Miles (103), Dylan Sheil (96) and Jonathon Giles (92) were the best averaging Dream Team players last year in the NEAFL.

  1. Fuck Fuck Fuck!!! Now everyone knows about Miles! grrr He was slipping under the radar!!!!!!!! He was my little secret gem :(

  2. Sidebottom and Beams are now well and truely on the radar! Zaharakis will feature in the Deck and is on my (long) short-list. Mitch Robinson is an interesting one. He has the potential to be a fantasy pig. Hmm. Can’t wait for the full lists… only days away! Woo!

  3. Collingwood and Hawks will feature massively in DT this year:

Beams, Sidebottom and Didak will be common selections. Add that to Swan & Pendles. Most teams will have 5 or 6 pies. Also, with no Gibbs in the backline many people will be forced to bet on Heath Shaw too.

As for Hawks….they will win the flag so people will be overweight on them too.

    Bring on DT already!!!

  4. Gibbs is still a Def I think just not a def/mid

  5. I wonder how many will pick Gibbs now? gotta look on the bright side though theres so many top defenders having the bye in rd 13, its probably a good thing with the amount of Donuts being offered

    Gibbs
    Goddard,
    Lids,
    Scotland
    Suckling
    Birchall
    Fisher
    Hartlett
    Bock
    Brandon Ellis (R),
    Steven Morris (R) possible benchies

the list goes on, i just hope a few more premo players like Hodge get his DEF/MID dpp back etc. gonna be interesting anyway

  6. Wow Robinson and Zorko DPP? Two quality picks right there.

  7. Good to see Fyfe keeping his DP, will be a fwd premo.
Beams, Sidebottom, Zaha, Knights and Robinson will give us all selection headaches, all able to go in the middle and potentially turn into keepers. But then again there are still arguments whether Zaharakis was a “good” pickup this year?

Appears Michael Hurley lost his B/F status as well? Shame, reckon he would have definitely increased his output with a fit and firing Gumbleton in the side..

  8. CRAP! Monty now has morabito as centre only! he’s not going to be worth a spot for me in there.

    • Morabito has never pulled high possie games out of a hat, not even in his junior days.

Because of his disposal and team nous, I think his job security is good, but is that enough when you only have two bench players?

  9. Hey guys just wondering if Matty Kreuzer is DPP this year?

  10. with gibbs moving back into the midfield next, im thinking ill take the punt on scottland next year, hes consistent reliable and age was supposed to slow him down this year so why will it next season?

  11. Beams may not be in the best 22, probably is, but maybe not. Only 14 games in 2011.
