  • Bet that guy who put 60K on the Eagles didn’t see that coming

  • Isaac Smith and Cam Richardson holding onto their spots is a big positive for mine just to add a little coverage.

Hopefully they start with green vests this week, although very likely that will be the case again!!!

  • haha! Josh Kennedy…way to keep your eye on the ball…literally

    still no Hibberd :(

    • Hibberd was listed as 1-2 weeks on the injury list earlier in the week so I’m not suprised he isn’t playing.

  • Josh Kennedy freak injury may have effect on all those looking to bring in Lecras.

“His absence will disturb the Eagles’ highly effective tall forward line, with Mark LeCras, who has spent periods in the midfield this season, likely to play closer to goal as a result.”

    http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/119651/default.aspx

Just the views of an author I guess but still could be something to think about.

    • think that willbe offset by Le Cras being the main target. Also Eagles coming inside 50 efficieny mut be pretty good cause they are winning lots of games. I reckon his scores may even increase as a result. I ma beway wrong though.

      What do others think?

  • Broughton named in the back pocket again. Not a good sign…

  • Didak. Are you out drinking with Heath Shaw again? Where the flippin hell are you? You’d think after the season you have put us through you could do those (few) who stuck by you a favour AND GET A GAME!! Faaark

  • Forward line decimated. No Roo, Goodes, Higgins, Didak, or Callinan. Starting Spud Lynch on ground and swapping Mzungu forward I’m still going to cop a donut. Thankful its a non-league round I guess.

  • Out: James Podsiadly (Facial soreness)

    interesting!!!!

    • One of the more interesting ways to miss a game…perhaps he’s been smiling too much

  • Hmmm… Going to downgrade Hibberd to someone for cash… Is Sinclair the one??? He is very fast…

  • Anyone know how long Higgins is out for? Heard season during the week cant find anything else about it though

    • Would love to know this too. He’s not even on the injury list??

      • I’m more frustrated by Missy than i am with the Tigers this year, would love to know how long mainly cause trades are a precious thing for me atm

    • 3-4 weeks

      • Where you hear this from or just personal opinion.

        • I wouldn’t trust a goose like Gus who goes for the big looser “FIRST” posts!

From the headlines he is 1-2 (two weeks being with the rnd 20 bye) so hopefully he is back for rnd 21, but if it is an extensive injury the Doggies said he would go for surgery and call it a season. Tough one to make a call on early without a definite answer considering they probably won’t make a definitive assessment on him until after the bye!
I am thinking of biting the bullet and making a straight swap for Rioli :)

  • I’m worried about Broughton being named back pocket

  • was pretty set on going;
delidio to fisher and prestia to lecras but kennedy throws a spanner in the works :(

should i get lecras, sylvia (terrible form and playing cats), rioli or someone else under 333k
leaning toward rioli, i need to score the most possible points in just these NEXT TWO rounds* not worried about finals! please help me out with your opinions.

*focussed on state school comp only!

  • Fuck you Didak. Fuck you.

  • Higgins -> Cloke.

  • I thought higgins was only out with soreness and should be back fresh after the bye…

  • Birch, Waters or Ellis?

Ellis has been v. good since he came back, Birch seems to have slowed down, Waters is largely unknown.

    Most opinions welcome :)

    • I got Ellis in last week, and was pleased with the 92 he served up. No doubt he’s a risk when compared to defensive pillars like Water and Birchall, however I think with Hawthorn’s tactics in the back line and recent form, he’s worth a gamble. (Only 2,665 owners too)

  • Trading Higgins this week, but to Cloke or Pav???

  • Higgins and Riewoldt out along with Goodes, Redden, Deledio and Adcock. Thank goodness for DPP and depth. Don’t like relying on so many sub-premiums though – Lower, Buckley, Smith, Krak and Mzungu. Dropped Petterd because I can feel a vest coming on. Hopefully he’s back on the field next week.

The Li-ions LVP 2011 goes to Shaun Higgins. Purchased in Round 7 for around 350K, nothing but trouble ever since

    • Hey mate, remember writing this? Maybe 2012 will be his year!!! :-)

      June 21, 2011 • 6:36 am
“I think the best advice in this article is to look at recruiting Higgins. He was one of my first upgrades, has been a bag of crap and is just starting to come good. Get on board and savour the sweet goodness without having to choke down the bitter, bitter bad he served up for six fricken weeks.”

  • Hey guys in need of some thoughts and advice

My team for this week currently sits as follows and I have 3 trades and 60k left.
Def: Gibbs, Goddard, Birchall, Broughton, Lower, HIBBERD, Jacobs (Deledio, Adcock, Golby)
Mid: Swan, Pendles, Ablett, Boyd, Dal Santo, Hodge (Didak, Prestia, Callinan)
    Ruck: Cox, Petrie (J.TIpp, Derickx)
Forward: Fyfe, Stevie J, Chappy, Sylvia, Buddy, Gu, I.Smith (Goodes, Lobbe, Cam Rich)

Gonna be copping a donut in the defence with Hibberd and would prefer not to. Not in with a shot for overall but would like to finish as high as possible so if there is a good way to avoid it which helps my team I’m happy to trade. Also have another ongoing problem in Didak. Just short of Hibberd-Fisher in one trade so was thinking maybe a Prestia downgrade and then Hibberd-Suckling/Waters.

    What are people’s thoughts/suggestions??

  • Knights named on extended bench. Lets hope he makes the 22 and gets chucked into the guts!

  • Well, at least I have 22 players on the field that are actually playing.

The only downside is that I am starting Jacobs, Nicholson, Mzungu, Howe, I.Smith, Prestia and C.Rich instead of Deledio, Adcock, Cotchin, Goodes, ROK, N Voldt and Higgins.

I got a bit of a laugh out of James Podsiadly (Facial Soreness).

Hopefully the Eagles fail without Kennedy and NicNat and their season falls to tatters so the Blues get a bit of breathing space after a WIN tomorrow night.

    • Eagles – 2 changes (albeit quite big ones)

Dogs – 9 changes and others in doubt

I don’t see how Dogs are a chance really especially since their season is done.

      • As a Blues fan will be barracking hard for Bulldogs and Fremantle this weekend. Having said that our record vs Roos is aweful so just our luck to stuff that one up Friday night. Roos always play well on a friday b/c they think they invented the concept?

  • i need a massixe next two weeks for state school comp and im almost considering going boyd to montagna then poo to fisher. Sounds supid but boyyd has the bye next week and montanga should score big. NEED MASSIVE SCORE NEXT TWO ROUNDS. someone please convine me out of this :/

    • Sounds good. Montagna and Fish have GC then Freo at edihad. Both should go large both weeks.
I just brought in Montagna for Missy Bitch Higgins and alraedy have Fish who wont get another red vest unless critically injured.

      • hmm yeah i didnt realise next week was at ethiad as well. well i reckon thats got me, should be two massive score. gotta take a risk anyway so

    • pensonally i am bringing in fisher for delidio this week and selwood against gc next week for boyd. for the same reasons

      • hmm yeah thats deffinetly an option. the + of havivng montagna this week thou is unique capt, with the top player likely to have pendles

  • How long is Newman out for?

    • i heard it might be season but dont take my word on it

      • Strained medial ligament and will take it one week at a time – after the bye that is.
Don’t know wtf that means. Ha any one had this injury to let us know???
He has been huge in my backline so not too happy.
Will wait and see for next week as have cover.
At least he didn;t have a single digit score and lose $$$.

  • Sorry guys but i just HAD to post this.

I’m sorry to Port Adelaide fans who see this…

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXatqcigUFw

If you ever watch the videos available on the AFL website, you’ll understand.

One of the funniest videos I’ve watched in a while.

    • Yeah i think it has allready been posted on this website
but i think it deserves another go
      awesome stuff

  • hey guys not really dt related but very important for my dreamteam

I’m going to spain and france with school for 3 weeks and not going to get a chance to do my dreamteam at all. not going to take over a phone that has internet so i have to use wifi
do they have wifi at maccas over there? if so i will be able to use my ipod touch to do my Dt
and has an one been in this position before, any ideas on what to do?
    thanks

    • you are better of getting your girlfriend or mum who has absolutely no idea about footy to cover for you than rely on anything to work properly in France. Good Luck though and enjoy the trip. OS craps all over DT anyday of the week.

    • Every Maccas in France has free wifi. Italy is slightly harder, but load of cafes have free wifi if you are in the bigger cities.

Outside that, most hotels will have a pc with internet.

      You’ll be fine.

    • And if you want to save a few $’s pop out of your hotel and walk round to the nearest internet cafe (they are everywhere in europe) – if you didn’t notice one near you when you arrived at your hotel on your tour bus, just ask the staff at your hotel, they will direct you to the nearest internet cafe which will be much cheaper than using hotel internet services.

    • thanks heaps guys
i forgot about internet cafes thats great
i think i might be doing some “before teams come out” trading though
and i will enjoy the trip :) thanks
