tbetta’s Bullets: Round 16

  • Gary’s or None

Round 16 was personified by one resounding question: Did you have Gary Ablett?

If the answer is yes, then it would have been a devastating week for you. I know it was for me. Some of us limped to 2000, but in the majority, high 1800’s and low 1900’s were about all we could hope for.

If the answer is no, then kudos to you. Not biting the bullet on Ablett for whatever reason was gutsy and could have marred your season, but it has paid off now – and for the next few weeks. No Gablett probably means you had Swan as captain, which means you not only dodged a bullet, but you gained on the rest of the competition with his extra 148 points as well. But besides the massive scoring catastrophe that was SMJ, scoring was quite good, and means a lot of coaches netted 2200+.

  • The Replacements

The big question everyone will be asking is ‘How long does Gazza have to be out for us to trade him?’. Unfortunately, there is no right answer to that. I mean, if he’s out for the season, that’s an easy call. But for a shorter amount of time, it all depends. It all rides on how many trades you have left, league and overall position, the cover you have for the next couple of weeks…

For me, anything more than 4 weeks is a sure trade. That encroaches on finals territory, and that’s when you need your best team out on the park. Otherwise, unless you have a silly amount of trades left or you’re going to cop a donut, you shouldn’t trade. But here are a few of the options you’ve got if you’re forced to go down that path:

Dale Thomas    AVG: 106.4

Being in hot form and with no byes left, Dale Thomas is probably our best option for a straight swap with Ablett. Malthouse has hinted at resting a few of his stars before finals though, but that’s the only concern with Daisy. He has raised the bat in 6 of his last 7 outings, pricing him at an even 413k. In a straight swap with Gazza, that trade will net you almost 50k to bank for the future.

Nick Dal Santo    AVG: 100.6

I won’t go into too much detail with Dal because I’ll talk about him later, but the Saints also have no byes, and he’s relatively cheap at $402,100 for someone who has been going at 129 a game over his last 3.

Leigh Montagna    AVG:  92.50

Nicky’s Saints teammate Joey has had an indifferent season to date, interrupted by suspension, bad form and injury, causing his price to plummet to a bargain $317,300! I’ll go on record and say that he will average 100+ for the remainder of the year, and at that price, its well worth it. He’ll make you a huge 145k from a straight trade from Ablett, meaning you can upgrade elsewhere without a costly downgrade.

Liam Shiels    AVG: 109.7

He has his last bye this week, but if you’re willing to overlook that, Shiels could be your man in a traditional sideways trade. He’s priced at $450,500, but you get what you pay for with Shiels, who has the equal 7th highest average for 2011. He’s been going at 125 a game despite a quiet match against the Lions at Hawk Park, which was an 85 – not too shabby for a ‘bad’ game!

Hopefully, mostly for my sake, Ablett is only out for one or two, and is back to his best in time for DT finals. Please?

  • How Crabs Get a Game

I hate forward tags. No – I HATE forward tags. Too many times in the past have I been burnt by Shaw or Enright being tagged out of the match, always with the dreaded forward tag. It feels a bit like cheating, taking out one of the opposition’s best playmakers by sacrificing the game of one of the hacks on your team – but then I guess that can be said for most of the tags happening every game.

The difference here is that midfielders get blocks and help from their teammates to free up, not to mention the experience from tags in the past. But when a defender cops that forward tag, there really is no way to break out of it, short of being thrown forward. That’s what happened to Sam Fisher on the weekend, playing his first game for Tbetta Than You. Port sent Chad Cornes to him in what would have been a bitter pill to swallow for the former fantasy great, but he played his part well, limiting Fisher to 33.

I suppose I should be happy. Having my week wrecked by Captain Ablett meant I was secretly wishing that all my players would have their bad score this week, if that makes sense. And now, the Saints have a full week of team meeting and tactics to figure out how to fix the problem if (when) it occurs again.

But not all forward tags are bad – after all, Brad Ebert forward-tagged Scarlett out of the game, helping my Eagles knock off the Cats. I’ll take Fisher’s 33 in exchange for that!

  • Makers

For not the first time this year, top spot in the Makers goes to the round’s highest scorer, which this week is Collingwood superstar Dane Swan. His 148 epitomises what the Maker’s is all about – like Ablett’s 175 last week,  it was a score that absolutely ‘made’ the week of their owners. Not only that, he was one of the more popular captain options, which only crystallises his value. He wasn’t the best player on the ground at the weekend, but he worked just as hard as anyone out there, earning all 39 possessions and being rewarded with 2 goals.

Nick Dal Santo was the highest possession winner on the ground against the Power, and with his two goals he top-scored with 134. Let me just say that I’m not a huge fan of Nicky Dal, but it’s hard to ignore his form of late. He has scored 133, 120 and now 134 over his last 3 weeks, causing his price to skyrocket. He has often been a barometer of St Kilda’s form, and now it seems life is starting to imitate art, with his recent fantasy success coinciding with the Saints renewed ability to compete.

Jack Redden has long been overlooked for this list, mainly because I’ve always, and probably unfairly, assumed his sparkling form was temporary. But apart from a lean patch mid-season, he has been fantastic both in the traditional and fantasy forms of the game. He has now topped the ton in his last six appearances, with his 130 at the weekend his greatest in that period. That’s consistency.

Before the Dustin Martin don’t-argue jokes, there were the Priddis jokes. True to fable, this guy is as solid as they come, both in terms of stature and reliability. He has averaged 119 over his last 3, and with no byes to come, he could be a good unique 6th midfielder. His 118 against the Cats was neither flashy nor incredible, but that’s just the way he likes it.

Rounding out the top 5 for Round 16 is Suns young gun David Swallow. With Gablett leaving the fray early in the clash against the Swans on Saturday, the kids had to stand up, and none did as well as Spitter. He finished with 114 from 22 touches and a couple of sausage rolls, which takes his three-round average to a slither over 100. If you have him, he could be safe to rely on as your 7th midfielder, after a poor month earlier in the year shed doubt on his ability.

  • Breakers

      1. Ablett 23
      2. Fisher 33
      3. Petrie 24
      4. Adcock 55
      5. Lecras 57

As much as Swan boosted scored this week, Gary Ablett culled them. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not his fault. He was injured and subbed as we all know, but that doesn’t change the fact the he stunted the scoring of a significant portion of teams. As wrong and harsh as it is to say; Ablett, you broke us this week.

As i mentioned earlier, Sam Fisher was tagged out of the game by a spiteful Chad Cornes, and he ended on 33. Which is more than I dared to hope for when he was stranded on 8 at half time. Hopefully it’s just a one-week thing, with the Saints likely to figure out ways throughout the week to free him up if he’s tagged again.

Petrie’s form has taken a turn, with this week’s 24 following up his 51 against the Saints. His lack of scoring is mostly due to a combination of increased forward time (given Goldstein’s dominance in the ruck and Pedersen’s serviceable effort) and some terrible forward delivery from his North teammates.

I know Adcock’s coming back from injury, but it doesn’t change the fact that he hasn’t scored over 67 in any of his last 5 starts. That’s not a blip on the radar, that’s a trend. He’s actually lost almost 5k since his starting price, so no point trading him out now. I’m actually considering starting Stanley over him, which 10 rounds ago seemed as likely as Dal Santo earning a contested possession.

With no byes left, LeCras has been (unknowingly, probably) auditioning for a 7th forward spot for Tbetta Than You. His form for the Eagles has been great – he’s been kicking goals and creating opportunities for his teammates, but unfortunately this form hasn’t translated into DT points like it does for others. He needs more midfield time to become a serious contender – 57 points isn’t enough.

  • Hawkless.

Teams will again be stretched thin this week with the DT royal family in the Hawks having their final bye. That means no Birchall, Suckling, Mitchell, Shiels, Bailey, Franklin and I. Smith. Oh, and no Ablett. Shit.

Tip of the week – forget you have a trade button. Get brainwashed, or hypnotised or something – if Ablett’s sore knee has taught us anything, it’s that injuries happen. You need those trades for LTI’s people!

Until next time.

PS. Gary Ablett just tweeted this:

“Scans are good! Just showed some swelling…. Nothing serious! #juststrainedaheartmuscle

I just performed the ‘Chainsaw’ in celebration.

  • every1 got him in with only 2 100+ scores what a spud

  • Good oil on GAJ’s scan TBetta….good article as well, lovin it…

  • this time of year the right trades make the difference in leauge finals and overall rankings.
its made even harder with a lack of forwald or defender options in consistant form.

stanley, heppel lobbe mzungu and i smith could be the same if not better than there more expensive counterparts, cloke shaw goodes stevie j or fisher.

i wish i knew who to choose.

    • I agree, good rookies can be just as effective as expensive ‘premiums’. For example, there aren’t many defenders matching Heppell’s 94.3 three round average, or midfielders greatly exceeding D Swallow’s 100.7.

    • Wow… Better than we could have hoped for! Still, i don’t see him playing this weekend, way too risky. Bluey’s not stupid, he knows he needs Gary fit, not just to be competitive, but to attract supporters and members to the club.

      • Yes but the GC boys must idolize a superstar like Gary and missing him they’ll probably play like crap because they will have lost all confidence. 106-36 is a walloping. Those are the kinds of games that do NOT make people want to become members.

    • bloody great news!

  • whats the word on Didak? Any chance hes back this week?

    • Bloody hope so! I need him to get out there to avoid having to play the ever inconsistent Lynch or Matera

      • haha…what exactly do you expect Dids to do for you??
I have him too, and would love to visualise him storming back into the forwards, sweeping all scores below 120 before him…but what i actually see is more like a score of 50 before having a week’s rest or another tweak in some as yet untweaked part…:-(

  • I’m tipping Gary will be rested… that’s been the GC way.

“When in doubt, keep them out”…

    • Yep agreed, I had a look at assistant coach this morning and sure enough saw a few coaches pull the pin prematurely on Gazz, ouch………………..

    • I think after he went off in that first quarter Warnie everyone who had the little master would gladly have taken a week off, was expecting him to be out for 3-4….

    • I prefer ‘When in doubt, whip it out’

    • Against Richmond I am not so sure if they will rest him they might be able to sniff out a win if richmond continue with their second half against Essendon. He might even just be given a run up forward.

      • He did try to play on up forward even when he first got the injury so that seems likely.

      • I don’t think it’s a matter of winning or losing for the suns this year, but Tigers will win because GC kids are tired, Gary will be restricted if he plays and Bock and Campbell Brown may not play either. If Richmond don’t win i expect chicken shit at the entrance of Punt rd Monday morning.

        • Nothing like a win to lift spirits, id say they would be giving the guys a rest against Collingwood because they no chance of a win anyway.

  • SUCK SHIT BITCHES WITHOUT ABLETT, HE IS FINE! READY TO KNOCK OUT A BIG 150 AGAINST RICHMOND!

    • There’s so much hate on this site!

    • He’ll be average the rest of the season. He’ll get games, but he’ll be rested heavily. Take a look at his first part of the season, because that’s what you’re going to get.

      • so im taking that you dont have ablett?

      • I disagree. A groin injury is far harder to get over than a swollen knee and besides GC hadn’t jelled together enough earlier in the year.

        • Yeah, I’d take 3-4 years of gunning Dream Team as a far better indicator than a few games at the start of the season with a brand new club.

As long as GAJ stays on the park he will not disappoint.

          • You have to ask yourself, do GC have more to gain by playing GAJ than they have to lose by playing GAJ?

If you’ve gone out and spent a million dollars on the best player in the comp, who still has a fair few years left in him, you’d be crazy to risk further injury to him for a couple of meaningless games at the end of the season.

GC need to make some tough decisions on alot of young kids at the end of this year. That means they’re going to give some games to kids who aren’t in the best 22, in order to see what they’ve got. If they’re giving out charity games with next year in mind, I don;t doubt for a second that GC wouldn’t have next season in mind for GAJ.

Also, because of this injury, he’s going to be getting less game time, or less time on the ball, simply for the fact they want to look after him. If GAJ is getting less time on the ball or the ground, that equates to less DT points. Simple.

Alot of NON GAJ owners have intentionally not picked him up for these reasons, while those who have, disagree. I didn’t doubt for a second GAJ was good value at his lowest price, but simply that there are other factors to DT than how many points a player can score.

We will find out at the end of the season who is right.

          • He needs to play to inspire the current team. I would rest him this week if I were the coach but after that he will continue to dominate. Like you said, we will see.

          • @ jungle muffin that was a lot of rubbish you just typed just to justify why you havent got smj if there is nothing wrong with his knee he will play he is a guy that just loves playing footy and nothing will stop him from playing if he thinks hes ok. You just keep hoping he doesnt play and once again he’ll prove your theory as rubbish . I dont understand why every dt team didn.t get him after round ten. This was the easiest trade of the season.

      • Rested for what?? They wont be playing finals so they wont need to be rested. They will be targetting wins when everyone starts using them to rest up key players for finals.

        • Why would they be targetting wins? So they can have 5 wins instead of 4, 6 wins instead of 5, or 7 wins instead of 6?

GC aren’t in the hunt for finals. The only reason they would want to win more games is to avoid the spoon, That issue might be decided in a few weeks. On the other hand, they might rather a higher draft pick, which is all the more reason to rest him.

          Think.

          • give up jungle muffin

          • @junglemuffin
As stated by a few other already, you are so flat out trying to justify why you don’t have GAJ that you are blinding yourself.
GAJ and GC will have pride in the performance of the new club, they won’t want to give up on the season.
All players face potential injury issues, i would be more worried about players from Pies and Cats being rested for finals than GAJ not playing in last 4 rounds!!!
I actually dont expect GAJ to play this weekend (reckon even if hes named he will pull out late, like Bird from the Swans did this week). No sides are going to play blokes if they are not right.

      • oh yeah he will be rested
because gold coast are playing finals

        • Ok. Think what you will muppets.

Because every coach in AFL history has made sure every Brownlow/B&F/Best player on their list is playing come the tail end of the season, when they aren’t playing finals and are carrying an injury………..

Foresight: It’s the reason none of you are coaching AFL, and dropping down the ranking week by week.

  • Great news on Ablett. I don’t have him (yet) but I definitely need him to play two more games before DT finals to make sure his lowly 26 rolls through and brings his price down! :)

  • “Spitter”! Comedy gold!

  • wonder how many pies will be rested for their bye errr the gold coast game next week?

gold coast are shot…young bodies tired, i rekon the pies may rest heaps, just like another midseason bye to get primed up for the finals tilt.

    • They’ll rest everyone apart from Swan. He won’t allow himself to miss another week if he wants a tilt at the Brownlow. It’s clear he’s getting all those tatts so the umps will notice him.

      • Yeah Swan needs more match fitness too.

        • Swan commented on afl.com.au site that he would not need a rest over the balance of the season, however, some of his temamates are in need of a break. Expect a couple to miss the GC game is a good call.

          • Oh there will be resting no doubt I just can’t see Swan needing a rest after he struggled to get fit before Arizona. We will soon see I guess, hope he doesn’t :S

    • Imagine if they don’t rest any, the DT scores will be huge!

      • with the amount of players that collingwood have itching for a place in the side. Collingwood could play their Reserves and still thump GC by 5+ goals.

  • What about Stanton and Gibbs, surely they should have made the makers list this week

    ALSO
has anyone else noticed that the top scorer according to the afl site is David Ellard on 1880 points and Bret Thornton on 1846?????

how did they manage to stuff that up?

  • Just realized Carlton LOST! Go my Eagles! Top 4 beckons!

    • After we send the Saints to Hell this week and the Pies turn Carlton all black and blue next week we will be.

      Puns, gay style!

  • I am so relived that Ablett is not out for a long time :D

  • Tough choice now on Ablett… Next few games he plays his price will plummet, could ditch him now for a 60k profit from his low when many of us bought him. Thats handy cash right now. With the potential (if enough trades) to bring him back later for finals at a lower price.

And IF he does play this week, how restricted will he be? Is the rest of the season going to be a gradual fall in average and price to the point that it would have been better to ditch at current price? Or is the injury minor enough that he can get back to 100+ scores in no time?

    • Maybe if still had 7+ trades left I might consider it btu with 5 only, no way.

      • 5 is shit loads if you have a decent structure. If you’ve planned well enough you wont have many final byes, with the only really relevent byes being Carlton and Geelong.

        • Finals byes for me = Petrie, SJ and Gibbs (and Curnow but hopefully I won’t have to play him)

    • Yep, do that Strewart….pfff

Ablett is a DT god / points machine! Teams don’t tag him because nobody can make it stick….ride the 1 or 2 weeks of average scores (probably 100+ this week) and then lock him back in for captain at finals time.

  • He tweeted that he might be back this week!

  • Had no.1 Maker and top 4 Breakers. Thank god it was a non-league game!

  • I think its worth upgrading a rookie like tom liberatore to a bartel to cover ablett instead of tradin him out then you have bartel for cover if anyone else gets injured

    • not a bad idea but only if it takes one trade.

    • Hmm, interesting theory! Just might do that

      • or go to sylvia who can also cover a player up forward

        • I brought in Sylvia for that reason a few weeks ago. He hasn’t exactly covered himself in glory since then, but having another DPP link does not hurt

  • Great news about Gazza especially since I only got him last week in a sideways for Bartel. If he does get up this week I would’ve loved to put him captain against the tigers especially if they play anything like they did in the second half against essendon, however, it will have to be Swan as I suppose GAJ’s fitness and injury will probably still be a concern.

    • i am so happy he is allright
I have only 4 trades left and completed my team just this week

      • Yeah same as me. I also have just the 4 trades as well. Really did not want to burn one on him after just getting him in so very happy about the news :D

  • Great news on the Ablett front.

I only have Suckling and Franklin out of my best 22 this week.

I am hoping to make my way up to the top 3 of my school league this week. It’s a pretty competitive league with 4 teams in the top 3500 and others not far behind.

I have to choose one to start out of Jacobs and Hibberd in defence and one of Howe and Mzungu in forward line. I am leaning towards Jacobs and Mzungu.

    • Howe up against Port this week….must be tempting

      • With Mzungu against the Swans at the SCG. If it was me I’d be going with Howe

    • 2nd in QLD schools

U cant see my team up there though at the moment because i had to remove my team and then re enter under another school, but next week itll show me in there again.

My total points are 32 733 and overall position is 2338. Just incase you dont believe me.

      • Second in Tas schools, not by much though

      • be careful with Mzungu this week. Mcphee, Suban, Micky Barlow and Kepler Bradley are all straight back into the team so with 4 ins theres 4 outs :(….gonna be interesting

        • He dominated the last game before the bye, surely there are other on the block before the Gu.

        • Yeah nah. Mzungu is a walk up start for Freo.

          • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Freo are getting players back for the derby.
All us West Coast fans were hoping for a top 4 spot, Harv’s has to hold out on bringing them back for a couple of weeks otherwise west Coast’s chances of that top 4 are all but over.

I don’t think Zung has anything to worry about just yet though, they still need to bring a couple more players in to kick him out.

  • Nice write up as usual Tbetta. I had the top 2 makers but 3 of the breakers this week. Had Nicky Dal since the start of the season and have been extremely happy with him so far. I think he probably doesn’t get enough of a look in as he should as I don’t often see his name thrown around much on here. Anyway, was looking at doing my last defence upgrade either this week or next. I had Sam FIsher, Birchall and Suckling in mind, however, with the hawks bye and the fact that all 3 have fairly big breakevens I will probably hold a few weeks. With a current defence of Gibbs, Shaw, Goddard, Deledio, Broughton, Adcock, Lower (Hibberd, Jacobs, Golby) Would love to get Scotland or Carrots but the prelim finals bye worries me so Is there anyone else I should look at instead or just wait??

  • Great right up TBETTA.
I picked up Nicky Dal a few weeks ago as a unique pick and he’s like wow eeee!
    Jump on and enjoy!

    • Agreed. I grabbed Dal in my plaything fantasy comp (supercoach) should of got him in my DT side instead of Scully. Hopefully he comes good though. Kick the ball more son! F*ck the handball!!

    • Yeah I had Nicky Dal from the start. He was a tad inconsistent but he’s starting to tear up now with 133, 120 and 134 in his last 3 starts

  • Malthouse was saying he wanted to sub Cloke off this week but Thomas getting injured took priority. Just shows may be dangerous to make Pies captains for the rest of the year. Mind you Thomas smashed out a huge score b4 3 quarter time so all wasnt lost. But Pendlebury is yet to have a rest Gold Coast would be the perfect opportunity especially if Carlton give them a run this week. I dont know maybe streessing because I have so many pies in my line up.

  • Anyone considering playing Suckling over Adcock this week.

I reckon he will score more better

  • If Ablettt is out for more than 4 weeks ie into the the finals, do you think Hodge after his bye is a good option?

    • did you even read the article? It clearly says “Scans are good! Just showed some swelling…. Nothing serious!” and if you wernt too lazy to check the afl website you would of noticed that he might play this week…

      • +1

      • hahaha rage :)

      • Look at the first word of this post: “If”. I didn’t say he was out for 4 weeks Im just saying that not all reports are correct and there’s a possibility that he will be out for an extended period. Some people on this site needs to chill out and cut people some slack. Or actually read the post correctly…

        • Did you ever think mate that he had written most of article before the news that the injury is not major came out. Therefore instead of deleting half of the article he just added that news on the bottom. And i highly doubt that a team would mis inform the AFL on an injury.

          • It happens all the time! Tapscott, hammy. 3-4 weeks. Its been over 6 now. Teams always talk down injuries.

          • yer i know they talk them down, but not lie about them completely youd think…..

          • Hammies ALWAYS turn into longer than first estimated.

A knee knock should be ok.

          • Thank you Shane, finally someone who knows what hes talking about…

        • How can you even assume someone can be out for 4 weeks + with knee swelling… and to add to that he even said himself he might play this week

  • i don’t know why people are worried about whether ablett plays this week or not. if you don’t have decent midfield by this time of the year you shouldn’t be playing DT.

  • *cover

    • Thats an outragous call. Everyones got ‘cover’ these days its the fact that no one can truly make up for gary ablett. Hes a superstar!

      • *no bench player

        • exactly Silky, everyone has bloody cover but to cover Abletts 120+ every week, bloody hard to have that cover on ya bench

        • We all have cover but id rather Gabletts score then Prestias thats for DAMN sure

          • +1

          • Its its reasonable to assume people might not actually have cover, with Hodge, Shiels, Gablett, Callinan, I Smith… all are good selections but could be fielding 2 donuts because of it… me, I’ve got Mzungu playing for Gablett, but hardly the same now is it….

          • + Mitchell.

          • I took Prestia’s score last week with the multi bye round but had it have been a league game I would have made a trade to cover Thompson.

      • Pretty sure even Relton Roberts could cover his score from last week.

  • I had 4 of the 5 breakers story of my week…. but anyway looking forward to this weekend even though I’m missing my 4 hawks but it’s better than missing 6 forwards

    • I’m hearin ya, a lot of decent teams had the top4 breakers, Adcock to the bench this week for Stanley, so I won’t be suprised if he is back with a big 100 just to shit me!

      • Adcock is really annoying me I can see why he isn’t getting any midfield time as Voss is trying to give all the time to Redden, Rockliff, Polkinghorne, Harwood etc. Oh and Black of course. But for god sake it would be fantastic for him to get into the mids for a week or two i remember when the Lions played St.Kilda he had a 16 possession 3rd quarter which gave him 61 dt points and it was awesome to watch as well!

      • Had one Maker & Breaker being Swan & Fisher but with Adcock, he has a very low chance of scoring 100+ this week after the cats losing two on the trott and i’m guessing Scott will be reving them up all week.

        • True mate I’m sure Chris Scott will be right up their arses all week after two losses in a row. So he may see a bit of ball down the backline anyway. At least it will work well for Redden who gets 30% of his points from tackles maybe up to 50% this week if we are denied the ball constantly.

  • Off topic but if anyone is intrested http://speedtest.10-fast-fingers.com/ try and beat my average which is around 390-395 characters a minute.

    • Yes, off topic. But 292 one try. That’ll do me. Neat tho.

    • You reached 293 points, so you achieved position 37047 of 594758 on the ranking list

You type 419 characters per minute
You have 76 correct words and
      you have 5 wrong words

I’ll try it again tomorrow when I haven’t had a couple of beers.

      I’m such a competitive prick D:

  • My final trades to finish my team off this week will be Smith to Cheeseburger & Smith to Pavlova. Keeping Darling as my 8th fwd and vardy as my backup ruck.

  • Not sure what to do with my ruckline, I have no idea who to play out of Petrie (fwd/ruck currently in fwdline), Lobbe (played last week in rucks and let me down), or ZSmith…

If I move Petrie to the rucks, surely he will bounce back from being shit two weeks in a row?!

The other one I don’t know about is to play Howe or JVoldt as cover for Buddwood…. I’m thinking JVoldt with have a day out vs the Suns, although, he is coming up v Bock… hmmm, Howe or JVoldt, thoughts?

    • same ruck situation mate ?? might just leave the dish in forward line and hope 4 the lobbe to get a few points in darwin ????

    • apologies, have only just checked the net after work and had to share my excitement with you all

  • SMJ doesn’t stand a ghost of a chance of playing this week.

  • Getting in early on trade tawk tuesday but…… am thinking of doing the following:

    I Smith – Pav

I have bugger all trades (4) but just wanting to cover Mid(s) this week with mitchell out and potentially SMJ… gives a gun 8th fwd/7th mid to help switch hit byes over the course of the rest of the year.

Team is settled and stands as :

Gibbs, Goddard, Enright, Suckling, Fisher, Shaw, Broughton (Batchelor, Nicolson, Jacobs)
SMJ, Swan, Pendles, Murphy, Boyd, Mitchell (Mzungu, Smith, Bewick)
    Leuenberger, Zmith (Hale, Curnow)
Stevie J, N Voldt, Fyfe, Sylvia, Goodes, Cloke, Buddy (Richo, Howe, Callinan)

Am aware my rucks are “different” but pretty happy with them, also aware that Pavs record against the Swans is not fantastic… but running with the mantra of “you gotta risk it to get the biscuit”

Just for a change it may be the red wine talking ;)
    Thoughts would be great

  • First yew – What to do with Ablett though?

  • Iv got 97 k to upgrade T.Lynch from GC if i want with 1 trade to Jonathon Brown, worth a crack?

    • current fwd line: stevie j, franklin, goodes, sylvia, didak, N Riewoldt, Mzungu (Howe, Lynch, Richo)

  • ABLETTTTTTTTT U LITTLE BEAUTy!
