  • Guys I was planning on trading Gram to Deledio this week, but now he’s named, should I do the trade or wait and see how Gram goes this week first?

    • Well Gram last played when the Saints were in shocking form. Their form isn’t brilliant yet but they’re doing way better. Gram has also averaged high in previous years and therefore we know he can score. Add to this that the Saints are playing the Bulldogs this week who are in woeful form. So the Saints should get plenty of the pill.

Deledios B/E is 95 which around his average, so unless he has a monster game his price wont change that much. Also, Richmond are playing Sydney who are very defensive and may shut him down.

I’m getting Deledio in but its an upgrade from a rookie defender. You’re looking at a semi-sideways trade.

On balance, perhaps see how Gram goes for one more week as the trade might come in handy elsewhere if Gram can recapture some old form.

  • Still in the eliminator but ranked 2002 as of round 12, but here’s my team for the round.

Gibbs, Shaw, Deledio, Adcock, Goddard, Heppell, Broughton (Lower, Puopolo, Jacobs)
Pendlebury, Boyd, Murphy, Selwood, Ablett, Swallow (Swan, Hibberd, Smith)
    Cox, Smith (Sandilands, Derickx)
Goodes, Franklin, Riewoldt, Knights, Darling, Mzungu (Lynch, Prestia, Howe)
    CASH LEFT: $88, 100

What are your thoughts on the team so far and all I need to do now is two forward upgrades, then my team would be set for the rest of the season.

Should I start Broughton as B7 and Mzungu as F8?

    • From what i seen of Howe i would start him.

    • Mate, Broughton has tonned it up the last couple of weeks. No brainer.

Mzungu vs Lynch up forward is the real dilemma.

      Very nice team BTW

    • Very nice looking team. A lot of money sitting on your mid bench, even with Swan on the field.
It must be very tempting to downgrade Sandi and get some big forwards.

Broughton is a walk up starter in any backline.
Gu V essendon at the playground and should do better than Lynch. I will be playing Mzungu.

  • Need to decide between 3 ruckman, Max Bailey, Vardy and Gawn. Who has best long term prospects?

    • Vardy will definately help Ottens out and is being chosen infront of Mark blake and even got Tom Hawkins kicked out last week. I would go him, Bailey would be your next bet with him been chosen in front of Renouf this week.

  • Hey guys,

Did i miss anything good on The Footy Show tonight??? So wanted to see Gibbs again.

Best news of the day, Murph siging on the dotted line for 3 years. Yeah!!!!

Anyway down to business. Is Lids the best back going around considering i have Gibbs, Goddard, Adcock, R. Murphy, Heppell, Lower, Poo, N. Smith and Pedersen.

    • Scotland has to be a good option – he is consistently scoring high. Averaging 98 versus Deledio’s 93. I’m avoiding him though because I already have Gibbs.

      • Yeah i would love Scotty but i have Gibbs and Duigan(who i just relised i left out of my post..lol) Only going for league now after having a horror year and sitting in the 20k range.

In previous years i had scotty, gibbs, murphy, judd, betts, hoops and yaz. Damn these byes. Cant wait till next year and this crap is gone!

    • U missed seeing the DT talk boys in the background haha

      • Damn did they even get a word in????? Nar they wouldnt have hey. TFS is supercoach territory!

  • Warnie! that new GWS player your sitting next to looks to be a good rookie next year. What a grab!

  • Hey guys
Need to make 6 more trades to finish my team atleast until sandi comes back. This is what I was thinking.

    Tomorrow
    Smith and C-Rich out
    Vardy and Didak in

    rd 13
    Iles and T.Lynch out
    ROK and Howe in

    rd 14
    Duigan and Prestia out
    Shaw and Callinan in

    Leaves my team as

Shaw Goddard Suckling Adcock Deledio Gibbs Heppell
    Stanley Jacobs Puopolo

Swan Pendles Boyd Thompson Mundy Bartel
    Hodge Mzungu Callinan

    Cox Petrie
    Vardy McCauley

Sylvia Franklin Goodes ROK Stevie J Fyfe Didak
    Knights Darling Howe

All looks good untill I look at rd 16
    Players out in rd 16
Thompson, Mundy, Mzungu, Callinan, Sylvia, Fyfe, Knights, Howe
Meaning out of 19 mids and fwds i have 11 to choose from. This will leave me with two donuts in rd 16. Of course it’s a non league round but am currently 389th overall and am gonna drop big time in rd 16

Is there anyway of making my trades different so i can cover the donuts. it’s only a week but a week can make a big difference.
    Thanks :)

    • The only thing I can think of is instead of downgrading Smith (which I assume you’re doing for money), you downgrade one of your premo mids (I see you have Hodge on the bench for example!) so that you can access cash there. You keep Smith as back up in rucks (which you’ll want when Cox has his bye). The downgrade in the mids you make tomorrow is to Nicholson who is a DPP def/mid. Then come the bye you can switch Nicholson back and one of your backline DPP players into the midfield. This covers one doughnut.

Then next week perhaps when you downgrade a forward, you downgrade them to a DPP ruckman/forward (say Joel Tippett or Lobbe) and then you swith Petrie into the forward line, Smith goes into ruck again with Cox. And there you’ve covered your other doughnut.

I haven’t sat back and worked out whether this really works, but some food for thought for you…

    • Okay. Having thought about it more.

Callinan needs to be a DPP mid/def instead to switch a defender into the midfield. Alternative is a cheap rookie who happens to be playing!

Howe needs to be Lobbe or J Tippett instead to switch with Petrie in the ruck.

The DPP’s may cost you a bit more coin though which could be a problem.

      • get a girlfriend..

        • @ Fester. Keep up the good advice bud.
@ Lzzzzzz, you may now return to your home under the bridge troll

        • atleast he has something constructive to say – get a life dipshit

        • Thanks for the advice @Lazzzzzz but the missus might get a bit upset about it.

Now how about you f*ck off back to your troll hole.

  • Barlow named on extended bench

    • Harvey has a habit of rushing players back this year hey? Would bet he is started as a sub. One of the benifits of the rule this year.

      • yeah well him coming back into the side i don’t want him to take lowers spot i need him atm.

  • and ryan gamble getting a game

  • Does anyone know what the deal is with Josh Toy? Hasn’t played for about a month. Thinkin it might be time to move him on, but at only 160k, seems a bit of a waste. Could definately make more dosh.

    • been playing in the QAFL apparently and not very well , time to move him on …

      • Cheers mate. Was looking at dumping Stanley but looks like he is solid starter for the GC. Bye bye Toy, hello….Gilbert?

        • I had same thought on Stanley… Needed to upgrade Stanley/Duigan -> Birchall… chose Duigan!

    • Same issue with Toy but I reckon he’ll just sit on the end of my bench in the backline.

  • guys need some help with my backs this week :

as i’ve got montagna & swan out of the mids I have DPP’d Gibbs into cover one of those vacancies but it has left my backline looking pretty ordinary as it’s my last row to upgrade.

deledio, enright, goddard, lower, stanley, heppel, poops, (duigan, hibberd & jacobs) (rookie central)

thinking I will start heppel & lower even though they are on the extended bench and have duigan as emergency incase one doesn’t start – does that sound the way to go? otherwise i could upgarde duigan to broughton and start him – thoughts?

    • I have a similar line up and i’ll be starting Heppell and Lower. Their form has been so good that i’m pretty confident of them holding their spots. If you can check the teams at 5pm today to be sure.

  • Need expert opinion on my trades this week:

I am looking to free up some cash by trading out one of my rucks, cox, sandi, petrie and z smith. Deciding between petrie and sandi.

Then the question is who to upgrade? I believe some improvement in my backline would be good:
Backs: Gibbs, Delidio, Goddard, Broughton, Heppel, Lower, Stanley (Duigan, Batchelor, Jacobs)

Should I upgrade Duigan or Batchelor to Scotland / Adcock / Fisher?

    Or the alternative upgrades:
    Knights –> ROK
Krak –> M Murphy, Watson, Ablett

    • trade Sandi , no brainer

      • or cash out a forward to bring in Hale (DPP) so you can play Petrie as a forward, which leaves you plenty of cash to upgrade a defender

  • Hi guys.

I have am having MAJOR delemias about who to downgrade Krak for?

    Any thoughts?

Howe? But do you think he’ll hold his spot (not necessarily every week but get a shot most weeks).

    Cheers

  • Need some advice guys:

    who should i put in:
Def: N.Lower, C.Pedersan, C.Howard, M.Hibberd? (Lower and Hibberd seem to be labeled as emergencies)

    Fwd: T.Lynch or T.Mzungu?

  • i went the double downgrade this week

    Batchelor to Howard
    Matera to Howe

Will only need these guys as emergencies and that way i can splash the cash on a shiny new midfielder and defender next week

    probably upgrade hibberd/heppell to pendles
and then upgrade Jurrah to stevie J

  • also.. im astonished!!

    Player Trades (%)
    1 Swan, Dane (COL) 7.37%
    2 Matera, Brandon (GCS) 5.04%
