  • hi lads,
is it worth trading L Thompson for hibberd/puopolo then going heppel for shaw?
just worried about heppel losing more money, need a bit of help here
    cheers

  • Getting Mzungu after his second game and team is back on track for round 9. Pumped for the Geelong game especially Gibbs, Selwood, Bartel and Chapman in my 22 and the great man Gazza comes in next week.

  • this week
    O’Brien to Puopolo

    next week
    Matera to Lynch
    D Swallow to Gablett

to round out my midfield of Murphy, Swan, Boyd, A Swallow, Jelwood and Gablett. Just need Swallow to step up and start posting decent scores and I’ll be happy!

  • Gonna do lower to poo, not sure if I should go often or prestia to hibberd?? Suggestions?

  • can i get some thoughts on my trades i want to do this week.

    Lower to Poo

    then

    L.Thompson to H.Shaw

will leave me with no $ left but get the best defender at the moment

    • yep do it , great idea

    • i was thinking Lower – Puopolo as well. but because hes in the centre and back at aami where he played for a while with port im kind of reconsidering. i’ll still prob go with it though if i were you. Heath Shaw has been a plus in the backs after his up and down year last year.

      good trades

    • I wouldn’t be keeping Lower to score you points, but I think he has a fair bit of money still to make. Not even three quarters fattened yet IMO, named on the ball and protected from green and red vests by the likes of Mzungu. It depends on your team, financial situation and long term strategy, but I think you’re going early on him. To me Heppell is more dispensable this week. He’ll be worth less week – Lower probably worth more

  • need to replace curnow -> s.thompson, d.mundy, s.mitchell or c.judd???
already have swan, pendles, boyd, selwood

    • Any will do. Mundy has got the best form, but Mitchell vs gcs in the grand final week so between them I would say.

  • omg my defence is all playing!

need help who to put on.

    hibberd,duigan,puopolo or jacobs?

  • TO COME IN

12 trades and 250k in bank
what do you guys think? any advice? thanks in advance

    • i started with 18 trades and 415k in bank
      what do you think?

    • Too much cash on your mid bench, I would try to sell one of harris swallow or libba and upgrade a forward to a premo.

    • Looks good and good that you have a plan on what your settled team would look like.

I think your def looks a little thin and wonder if you can fit an Enright/Fisher/Shaw/Suckling in?
and only question on mids would be no love for Boyd/Watson/Mitchell/Murphy?

That probably comes down to personal choice…but just throwing it out there.

Will be nice to have lots of trades up your sleeve and some good $$$

  • Planning on a double upgrade this week to help out my crap defence…

    Smith – Fisher
    Curnow – Carrazzo

Giving me a back line of:
Goddard Gibbs Adcock Fisher Carrazzo Heppel Lower (Batchelor, Stanley,Duigan)

    Mids at the moment:
Swan, Selwood, Mitchell, Cross, Krak, Libba (Watson, Harris, Jacobs)

Dpp fwd links of Chappy, Sylvia and Didak…

Meaning i have 3 trades left to finish my team…not sure on the cows yet but will bring in:
    Enright or Shaw
    Pendles or Ablett
    Pav or Rvoldt or Goodes

Thoughts on the double upgrade this week?

  • Do i play
Ben Jacobs or Michael Hibberd ?

  • Hey Guys, Whose worth jumpin on:
    – Mzungu
    – Breust
    – Lynch (GC)

  • Thinking of trading –

Rd. 9 – Duigan to Hibberd

    and Lower to Suckling

Rd. 10 – Krakouer or Matera to Lynch

    and Darling to Chapman

then maybe try and get Shaw in after Collingwood’s bye.

    thoughts?

only have 2300 in the bank lol

    • oh and this is my current team (15 trades left)

DEF – Adcock, Heppell, Enright, Goddard, Gibbs, Duigan, Buckley (Puopolo, Stanley, Lower)

MID – Swan, Boyd, Mitchell, A Swallow, Shiels, Ellard, (Bewick, Krakouer, Jacobs)

RUC – Sandilands, McEvoy, (McCauley, Bailey)

FWD – Franklin, Goodes, Dawes, Johnson, N Riewoldt, Didak, Darling (Knights, Matera, Richardson)

  • Don’t know a lot about Breust….Mzungu is coming straight back in after a long lay off and will prob be sub. Get on Lynch next week and Mzungu the week or 2 after.

  • Is it still worth getting Selwood over mundy considering that i have bartel in the mid, enright back and chappy soon in the team. Worried about to many geeloong players

    • to many geelong players get mundy :)

    • Thanks, yeah leaning towards that. just realised i have pav, fyfe and sandilads thou haha so either way not too good. freos bye is at a better time thou and smith covers sandilands

      • and its a multi bye if ur more concerned with ur league

        • more concerned in ranking, but i have like no crows or kangaroo players so it’ll be easy to cover :)

  • hey guys need a bit of advice for this weeks trade

who should i downgrade: atley (lowish bp) , tapscott (lowish bp) or matera (low bp but not gonna go up in value for 2wks)

and who should i pick out of goodes or fyfe? for pretrie

  • HELP!

    FYFE or PAVLICH?

  • Well, that was a significant human error. Attempting to trade in Mzungu then check my team and see the name J Houghton in there.HOUGHTON! Is he even alive? I’ll probably find his name in the funeral notices of next weeks paper.

  • alright i can get any defender for mcKernan other than Heath Shaw
or i can trade Duigan for Shaw

i was thinking Mckernan to Adcock?

i already have God, Deledio, Gibbsy, Pratt.

    thoughts please

  • Suckling or Shaw? Bearing in mind Suckling has only scored 2 hundreds this year and Shaw has scored 4.

    • Shaw fo shore

    • suckling. shaw will do a gram

    • Just had to make the same call – decided on Suckling based on the fact his two hundreds have been a lot higher 133 and 141 vs Shaw’s 105, 110, 117, 124. Also BE for Shaw is 50 vs Suckling 14.

Having said that, I might just get rid of Duigan and pick up Shaw too – will leave me short of cash and trades, but both pretty solid ins.

  • today’s comments remind me of the live chat during the eagles/demons game this season. every second comment is tapscott…

  • tapscott

  • Who would you get out of PENDLES or SELWOOD?
I already have Bartel, Chappy and of course Swan

  • who would you play out of

    Buckley, S or Brown, L ?

    what two out of

    Dawes, C or Dangerfield, P or Darling, J ?

  • anyone think polec gonna get a gig soon???

    • i hope so mate need him to start getting me $$. But with Green in and Polec not even an emergency hes going to have to stake a pretty decent claim in the reserves if hes gonna push for selection.

  • Who should I trade Puopolo in for: B Smith, Lower or A Otten?

    • i traded Lower personally

the only reason he’s getting a game at Freo is becasue of their injury list

      • As opposed to Otten who isn’t getting a game because he is injured. That’s who I traded.

        • Otten got dropped and then got injured that week at training, very unlikely to come straight back in.

      • He’s still going to get games though…that’s what matters.
Trade out B.Smith his BE is over 100

      • The extent of the injury list and the lengths of time a lot of them are out for is exactly why you should keep lower.

  • Lower or Cameron O’shea for Puop. Or should i go hibbs??

    • i think puopolo’s job security is slightly better with hawthorns injury list but they are both good options
keep in mind that hibberd is a DPP though.
I would be going with puopolo this week….

  • harvey, fyfe or goodes forward line upgrade?

  • trading to get a premium mid… should i trade dan harris or conca?

  • NEED HELP PLEASE

what do you think of going

    Otten > Puopolo

    B.Smith > Suckling

    or……

    Otten > Puopolo

Petrie > Franklin / Stevie J / Goodes / Fyfe ( and tell me which one of those )

    • If you wanted b smith to be just a cash cow then trade him out for suckling cos smiths price will go down with a massive b/e
If you want to keep b smith as a 7/8th defender, you should take the second option and trade petrie out for franklin, goodes or fyfe. Franklin is inconsistent but can get massive scores
I think the safest option would be fyfe

  • Sorry if this has been mentioned before , but on Dreamteam, higgins is listed as an emerg and unlikely to play, and petrie and johnson werellisted as not gonna play, but are listed as playing on the teams here. Who is right? sorry if this is a rookie question

    • dont take any notice lol

    • Who do you believe???
Reckon they name teams for a reason……………then the DT crew have to catch up with their “traffic lights”!!!

Apart from the other week when Carlton named Lachie Henderson instead of Brett Thornton on the initial team list. :-)

  • will krakour play and or escape the vest?

  • Which is the more pressing trade?

J O’Brien (Stuck in fwd line) to I Smith or Otten to Poo? Either way Lower is going to Suckling!

    • Well puopolo is gonna change in price this week whereas smith isn’t. If O’Briens BE is reasonable then I would ditch Otten and jump on the poo

    • Otten to Poo, easy as. O’Brien to Lynch next week.

  • This week went:

    Otten > Jacobs
    Harris > Selwood

    Team now looks like this:

DEF: Deledio, Gibbs, Adcock, Shaw, Heppell, Goddard, Puopolo (Stanley, Lower, JACOBS)

MID: Swan (C), Boyd, Pendles, Bartel, SELWOOD, Libba (Swallow, Smith, Hibberd)

    RUC: Sandilands, Cox (Smith, Derickx)

FWD: Franklin, Goodes, Chapman, Knights, Riewoldt, Darling, Tapscott (Matera, Pitt, Prestia)

CASH LEFT: $114, 300 and 13 trades remaining

Next week, I’m planning to do:

    Plan A
    Tapscott > Mzungu
    Libba > Ablett

    Plan B
    Tapscott > Mzungu
    Swallow > Ablett

When we’re getting in Ablett next round, should we keep or trade Swallow and what is Libba’s job security like?

Which trade is a better option and what do you think of my team? Will be down to 11 trades by round 10 and should I leave at least 8 for LTI’s?

    • I think you really need Ablett, your midfield is strong enough as it is and by waste another 2 trades you are really stuggling for trades

  • rocky or mundy

  • gonna downgrade matera, choices are T.Lynch (GC), Mzungu or Isaac Smith??? which one?

  • no idea if its a good trade………gram to suckling

    13 trades 260000 in bank

gibbs goddard adcock enright heppell puopolo hibberd (stanley otten gram)

boyd pendles selwood stanton aswallow libba (harris bewick jacobs)

    cox petrie (mccauley spud)

franklin slyvia fyfe higgins nreiwoldt jreiwoldt knights (matera tappy richo)

swan is in next week….focus will then shift to chappy, sandi, premium back

chappy is my dpp to cover byes with jreiwolt most likely eventually on the pine. so worried bout trades!

  • Hi all, I was hellbent on downgrading Lower and Atley for Puopolo and I Smith respectively this round to earn some cash for some upgrades in the coming weeks. However, Smith is cursed with GS this week so should I wait for next round to give him the flick or chance him now? The reason I wanted to do it this week is that next week I want to bring in Lynch from GC and Pendles on the cheap. Comments would be much appreciated. :)

  • Nick Duigan > Heath Shaw or Patrick Ryder > Aaron Sandilands? I could also go Jack Darling > Colin Sylvia or Lance Franklin but Darling probably still has a bit left to gain price-wise.

I have $184,900 in the bank.

    Cheers for the advice.

  • This week I’m cashing in Lower > Puopolo to upgrade a midfielder to both avoid a zero and boost my stocks.

I can either trade out Harris or Prestia. I’d obviously prefer Prestia as there is still some money to be made with Harris, but Harris’ higher price gives me nicer options.

Prestia will get me Bolton, Fyfe, Higgins, Goodes, Carrazzo, Scotland (both of which I can later sub to defence)

Harris will allow me to get Mundy, Selwood, Mitchell, Rockliff, Murphy, Montagna.

Current mids: Pendlebury, Boyd, Bartel, Redden, Libba [D.Swallow, Harris, Prestia, Irons]

I’m leaning towards getting Mundy in (Selwood would be ideal but I already have 4 other Cats players on the field which will be tough come DT finals).

    • Harris to Mundy.

    • Secondly, who to play in defence, need 2 on the field out of Duigan, Hibberd, Puopolo (Retzlaff can stay on the bench after his 16 last week killed me!)

So who joins Stanley and Retzlaff on the bench out of those 3?!

  • still undecided

    thinking
toy to puopolo and then yarran to goodes

    OR
or cunrow to muzungu….. and richardson to goodes…
    thoughts?

Need some serious HELP HELP HELP!

    • could also obviously do Yarran to Goodes

      Cunrow to muzungu

      as well..

      so hard

      • Depends if you see Curnow in your team once he comes back from injury. A lot have already traded him out. Richardson is deadweight atm so if you can upgrade him to Goodes that seems ideal to me.

        • I see him in my team but the fact I feel I will make the final in a few leagues means he won’t be there at the end. May be worth getting rid of soon!

          • i did trade toy to the poo and had to bring in cox for jamar.

but i agree with tex i got rid of richardson about 4 weeks ago for harper.

The poo will get you the money this week. so that is the ideal trade.

dont just jump on mzungu because his getting a game you have the chance to wait with him and see how he goes

            i would do

            toy –> poo

            richardson –> goodes
