  • Irons down to McKenzie from Gold Coast? He has got scores of 76 and 61.
    Thoughts?

    • thinking the same think, got no idea about his JS tho

      • Thats what I’m worried about…. But there is no one else around that price who I haven’t got already.
Plus even if Irons comes back in the side soon he won’t rise anywhere near as much as McKenzie.

  • Always worried about te players that face a fitness test throughout the week. Hopefully the showdown gets the best out if bernie!

  • Kane Cornes – 172 games straight, av. 100 per week. Will feel weird not having him in my team this week.

    Long live the king

    • It’s bad but at least you’ve got the Chad to look at.

      Sing it with me:
We are the Power from Port
      It’s more than a sport
It’s the true Port Adelaide tradition
      We’ll never stop stop stop
      Til we’re top top top
It’s history here in the making
      PORT POWAAAA!

  • i worry for kane cornes’ safety- creatures of habbit we are

  • Worth risking Lower on the field this week ?

    • I would say yes, depends on your bench though.

    • I’m really inclined to put him on the bench…surely their bench will be Ibbotson, Palmer, Walters…Lower? I will think about it when teams are finalised tomorrow

      • yeah, but I have Lower and Otten, who are both named on the bench… and i can only put one on the bench and the other on the field…

        • I don’t know if Lower is even best 22 any more…will he even get a game?

    • depends who you have on your bench. Someone around the same ave i`d put a head of lower just in case he gets the jacket.

    • I’d be more worried about Lower even getting a game this week

  • Swans a chance against cats at SCG?

  • ok so i just made a twitter account so i can ask a question for tonight show, where do i ask and how do i do it

  • Hibberd named on interchange list for Bendigo Bombers this week.

  • I need a second opinion – keep in mind im going for the league win – is trading Ward to Curnow a waste of a trade, have i missed the boat ??

I spose if it depends on if Curnow is going to keep up his scores from the first three rounds, if he is, then even at 170 he’s still a bargain. Thoughts please?

    • Should’ve done it last week. If it was Foley I’d say yes… but Ward’s going along alright. Tough call, glad it’s yours to make!

  • sweet gotta full team. Won’t be anything too high this round tho.

BTW seriously people. I’ve seen so many people go “Should I trade out [Insert Keeper from Lions/Saints/Dogs here) to [Insert Star Player who has a bye in the next few weeks]”. Seriously stupid moves people. You’re just delaying a star playing missing due to the bye and wasting a trade. Dont get me wrong….I love it how alot of people are wasting trades and taking themselves out of the running by themselves. But if I see another stupid trade Im gunna snap!

KEEPERS ARE KEEPERS. You should have selected them fully aware of early byes. No one should be trading guys like Rockliff, Montagna, Goddard, Boyd, Higgins, Riewoldt, etc……because you’re just wasting a trade

  • So I was planning on trading Jolly > Sandi this week…

As I’m only going for league win I’m thinking of holding off with this trade until next week… is my logic correct that Jolly isn’t playing this week so his price wont go down (yay) whilst Sandi is forcasted for about a 15k price drop… so im thinking hold off til next week and pocket the 15k?

I’ve got Zac Smith on the bench so I should still pick up a few points this week.

  • Richardson or Matera? Need to play one…

  • At the momemt iv only got $2000 in the bank.. is it worth making some downgrades just to free up some cash (Broughton to Adcock or Stevie j for Higgins or even D, Swallow to Libba for example) for future upgrades

  • Hibberd back in VFL this week. Two good games and I can see him taking Lovett Murray or Lonergan’s spot. Should be good by round 7 imo.

    • He is hardly going to get a game in fromt of Lonegran mate… Lonegran is Essendons number 1 clearance player…. Wake up to yourslelf.. Do you watch much footy ????

  • Curnow named on interchange, ooooo, one bad game……bye bye!

    Another Crows injury? Bloody hell!

    • Only increases Smith’s job security

      • luke thompson gets a few games now down back, another to watch

      • He looks like a good option down back. I can’t get in Curnow at the moment because I can’t justify trading out any of my rookie mids. Deledio on the other hand…. Maybe ill employ a “No Richmond poilcy”

    • I think its curnows turn for the red vest, teams seem to be rotating between the new / young guys so they dont burn them out to quickly

    • What a stupid comment !!! Curnow has beenmaed on the pine each week.. Being named on the bench on a Thursday night has abolutely no relevance to a players standing in a side or job security…
Very nieve narrow minded comment made by apeson who obviously has no grasp on the modern game.
The way teams rotate so heavily he is likley to be on within the first 5 minutes… Curnow has been super playing his role so far this season, and to suggest he is one poor game from being omitted is a ridiculous statement, made by a person who obvioulsy has little knowledge of the modern game of AFL football

      • totally agree Fast Eddie !

not a hope in hell will be the sub ! he’s been amazing the first three rounds … he wins his own football , tackles great and his run off half back is exactly what Carlton will need this week to combat the Bombers .

some intersting opinions out there , lol …

      • Chill mate, there’s no need to be an obnoxious dick and heap shit on other posters when they share a thought/opinion.

        • Chill Eddie, not G-Banger.

        • Yeah man, agree. Go rub one out and come back when you’ve calmed down.

        • Mate ive never seen him do anything but drill other peoples “stupid” comments. Easy to criticise others. Why doesn’t he try and be constructive and lend his own advice if he’s so informed…

      • Eddie,
        What is an “apeson”???
Guessing maybe the son of an ape…… :-)

      • hey eddie brudder, buy a fricken dictionary u moron

  • Well that was embarressing, i was looking for a fair while to see if bewick was named, and where.

  • Crameri or Shiels?

  • Anyone know when/what time the final teams (besides sub) are named?

    Im worried about lower, prestia!

  • Anybody no how Andrew swallow usually fairs against the dockers? Cheers

  • Have Duigan, Heppel, Swallow, Harris, Curnow, Libba and Tapscott in my team and I’d expect a huge price rise amongst them :)

  • if Krak wears the red vest tomorrow night then hello Curnow, prob my last chance to get him

    • U won’t know if he’ll wear the red vest unless ur nostradamus pal

      • you find out 90 minutes before bounce down who the subs are and seeing as they play friday night that means lock-out too so its pretty easy mate

        • Where do they announce it exactly? I’m on the other side of the world and won’t have much time to tinker with my lineup till the first bounce!

          • There will be a mini team update on the AFL site to show who the subs are 90 mins before kickoff.

      • Haha, red/green……..wots the difference really. :-)

    • l dont think they’ll play him as sub against his old team IMO…………they’ll let him tear ’em a new one, as everyone rips it up against their old team

    • I think you mean green vest. You find that out 90 mins before. The rest vest you find out with five mins to go in the third qtr, or with five mins to go in the game depending on malthouses mood.

  • hoping Selwood has quiet game, got a BE of 206 (according to Freako) if so he might drop below $400k in a couple weeks

    • It’s closer to 180 I believe, and remeber that his score of 27 will only count to his first price change.

      • yeah i know thats why i was hoping for a 70-80 this week might drop him a bit lower :)

        • You’ll find that your kidding ya self mate… You must be think of another Selwood

  • Hey I think you have a typo in there

    Kane Cornes in “out”.

    Surely that can’t be right

  • I was just wondering, should I get rid of Thornton for Suckling?

Also, does anyone know what the maximum expected price formula is for Dream Team? Footywire has their estimates but does anyone have an actual formula?

    Any suggestions are welcome. Cheers.

  • Im make’n some trades to keep my Ranking

    Conca, Reece to Shiels, Liam

    Higgins, Shaun to Dawes, Chris

    Team Punishment

    Overall Rank 13

    CAR Club Rank 3

I hope it works out :)

    • wouldnt trade out shaun higgins mate he’s been on fire. put one of your bench players to cover him and save a trade. you make the trade you’ll regret it later in the yeat

    • It will work out you wont be in the top 100 for much longer doing trades like that.

Your going to finish about 5000 – 10000 cause you wont have any trades left come about round 10 at this rate.

Hold the trades, teams good for a reason..

  • Morning all!!!!

Does this sound like a good combo of a back line:

Gibbs, Goddard, Suban, Bock, Duigan, Hurley, Coad(Pederson, B. Smith, Lower)

Will that finished line up be ok you think???

    • Mate, nice combo, not sure about Bock yet… Danny Stanley would be a good option to keep in mind too, but if that’s your team line up for this week keep in mind the multi-bye.

  • i think pederson is going to be a massive cash cow if he gets on the park for enough games..he can’t do much more than keep playing well..he was everywhere in round one from what i remember rucking, down back, a bit of a mister fixit role..i’ve heard people say his j.s is no good cos of grima but if he’s playing the house down he will get games with his flexibility….having said all this im about to trade in brodie smith instead cos im impatient and i want cash and i want it now…but don’t forget this post when pederson completes his third game and is the next biggest price rise to curnow for the season at least if im not gonna do it then let this comment persuade a few people to get on him and reap the rewards..p.s would have gone him if he was named on the field in this weeks teams but hes the last name on that bench list..i bet he bloody starts though and carves it up and ill be shakin my head come monday..its the way the dreamteam gods work im afraid sitting up there in d.t heaven mocking every decision you make having a nice old chuckle.

  • How do you reckon lower will go this week? trying to decided whether to bench him or daniel stanley from the suns

    • I’m in the same situation (though ALSO have Duigan in the mix). I’m going with Lower and Duigan on the field. Between Lower and Stanley, I would think Lower would score better unless he gets subbed again. The call between Duigan and Stanley was tougher…ended up going with Duigan because Stanley’s recent score included 2 goals rather than being totally possessions based. Don’t want to rely on him kicking goals. Probably a dumb reason but the only way I could separate them without having to toss a coin.

    • Guaranteed 0, has been dropped !

  • Liam Shiels is looking good, hope he has good JS. I am tossing up whether or not to trade Luke Shueym Shieiam Shiels. Any ideas?

  • Yo does anyone know the updated teams for Sunday, or where I can find them?

Usually they’re up on a friday right?

  • Cheers fellas. Lower out is going to hurt a few people this week. Most people will be automatically down to 1 reserve, without taking any other player out.
