  • brown and hodge out

should i go chapman and grundy
    or
    enright and stevie j?

  • OK.
so i’ve lost my 2 GF.
    Hunt, Jpod, Cooney, Brown, Hodge
    so 5 PLAYERS…
    FMDT.
used my last trade to get here.. now stuffed with probably 3 zeros….
i give myself.. NO CHANCE :P

  • Great, a donut in my back line. Surely Hodge can play just one more game with an injury!!!

  • so i need to use my last trade on didak to avoid the 0 and i can get anyone besides sylvia

my fwd already is chappy, gia, pav, rockliff, riewoldt and davis (j.brown and griffiths)

for me its either buddy or goodes????

  • Damn

    Hodge, Didak & Brown out.

Got cover for Hodge but no forward cover.

Going to have to trade Didak – Goodes/Sylvia, Brown – Pavlich

  • I’m almost glad I lost last week as I would be no chance this week with all my outs!!

  • Well with 1 trade left, it looks like I am going to get 1 zero this week (Hodgey), so my question is what midfielder should I trade him too? I can afford anyone I currently haven’t got (Swan, Hayes, Bartel, Mitchell and Martin)

    Any suggestions?

  • Which is the best option?

Trade Brown to J.Riewoldt/Byrnes/Hall with playing Martin on field

    or

Trade Hodge to Boak/Griffen/Green/Kelly/Deledio/Gibbs/McDonald with playing Fyfe on field

    thanks

  • Really regret using my last trade trading out Pav for Boomer Harvey last week…
Now gonna cop a 0 in the fwd line :(

Just gotta hope my opponent has no trades as well, seeing as he also has Brown and Didak.

  • will get a donut in my backline and forced to play betts and hitchcock up forward.

How do you people even have trades left???

    • Its called willpower mate! My missus had 9 to go with 5 rounds to go!

But IMO, you need to do probably a trade a round for the first 6 or 7 to settle your team and get rid of any bad eggs. Then only use a handful for the next 7 or 8 rounds for dropped premiums or LTI’s, you need 5 or 6 with the same amount of rounds to go or else you’ll run out of trades. Well at least thats my theory and seems to work ok for me.

  • Got trigger happy early in season but held onto 1 trade for GF which will cover Hodge. Opponent in main league is eating a FWD dohnut by losing Didak, Brown & Pods this week.
Glad I held onto Barry and tossed Pods when Voldt hit rock bottom price. May well be the move that wins me the Grandy. Yeeew

  • I’ve got 22 players playing, but no emergencies, and 1 trade.
Which do people think would be the best option:
    — Upgrade Dustin Martin to Swan
    — Upgrade Phil Davis to Chapman
    Love some opinions?

    • Probably pick up Chappy. Davis coming up against St Kilda looking for momentum coming into the finals and Chappy has the Weagles at Skilled doesn’t he??

Swan has been a superstar, but last couple of weeks looks to be slowing down for the finals. Martin will score more than Davis.

So what I’m saying is Martin/Chappy combo will score more than Swan/Davis combo for this week only.

  • Man my missus is dead set unlucky, she just got in Didak last week, she has two trades but has Hodge, Cooney, Dids, Brown, um, well there are others but very shattered for her as she was starting to get some kick ass scores (averaging over 2300 over past month – that happens when you have 9 out of a possible 10 trades to play with with 5 rounds to go!!!!).

Anyway, who is my best fit for Hodge. Can afford anyone, I have BJ, Broughton, Enright, Gilbert, Fisher &Waters with no bench cover.

So Hodge for….. Lake? Worth the risk with his injury???

    • He’ll towel up the Bombers so I’d run the gauntlet.

    • Add to that list Pods and Schneider… poor girl has two trades to go but will only just be able to cover all of them.

Anyway, yeah, i’m thinking of running the gauntlet with Lake. Need to take a risk to get national ranking under 500!

  • What’s the consensus with trading out Hodge

    >> Broghton

    >> Johncock

    >> Kelly

    • Mate, Kelly as SS I would’ve thought…

What about duffman if you don’t have him?

    • Add Pav vs Carlton to that, after a week off could score well

    • Easy answer is Broughton.

Main reason is he plays on Friday night so you will know that he is playing 90mins b4 lockout!!!!
Don’t be surprised if someone like Kelly is a late withdrawal.

  • Got no zero’s this week… giving there is no pesky late withdrawals that effect me. But should i field Strijk or Crameri for Hodge? Strijk is playing against the cats at the cattery so he mighten rack it up :\. Also i have to field Ellard for big brown dog.

  • Hodge,JHunt,Brown,Didak all out… looks like I’m a goner.

  • Jobe Watson to Montagna for me. It’s my last trade but I’ll still have a full side and coverage on the bench. It means playing knobs like Phil Davis, but there are people worse off I suppose.

    • wait a minute. Swap Davis with Grundy and Davis goes to the bench with Mooney on the ground against the hapless Weagles. Genius!
Finally, multi-position players work for me!

  • Who should i trade Hodge out for… i can afford anyone in the mids…

my mid line up is… Swan, Ablett, Montagna, Pavlich, R.Griffen, and Hodge…

Some Answers will be greatly apreciated :)

    • Lenny looks the goods, but if in doubt and you can afford anyone, go to Calvins Captains for who is the best selection for this specific round.

      • Looks like Hayes is coming in then… he is the top pick there who is not in my team… thanks heaps for advive mate

  • Fuck u hodge.
Do i put Strijk or A.Smith on my field for him??

  • banner named on extended bench. anyone know the chances of him making the team???

  • Got Hodge J.Hunt and Didak out this week with a zero in the backline… im screwed

  • can get any foward for didak

got chappy, gia, buddy, rok, steve j, j Brown

  • Looks like 2/3 donuts this week:
    Hodge
    Watson
    Armstrong
    Sheppard
    Gysberts
    Pods
    Hunt
    Gumbleton
And Tarrant is named on extended bench
…Looks like a fail this week, after a next to undefeated season. Just like the Saints.

    • Of that list, only Watson and Hodge should be on your ground, maybe Pods but given his last couple of months not even him….

  • Alright guys, got Didak and Hodge out so options are…

    1. Crameri sub in for Hodge and trade Dids to any forward (Sylvia, Goodes, Boomer)

    2. Robbie Tarrant (on extended bench but if he plays) sub in for Dids and trade Hodge to Kelly, Milburn or Duffman (thinking Kelly)

Basically, who will score more Crameri/Sylvia or R.Tarrant/Kelly??

  • riewoldt or sylvia

  • I have 1 trade left with $95,000

Do I put Hodge to the bench and put Henderson on the ground for him instead of training for Lake.

Or do I upgrade ROK in the Fwd’s to D.Thomas (392,000 to spend and he is 389)

My opponent has Lake in the backs as well as Henderson.

    • ROK is playing, so get rid of hodge.

      • I know ROK is playing – my point is that because ROK has been shizen, get Thomas or someone. And then Just move Henderson onto the ground on my backs with A Smith emg.

  • I have brown (covered by fyfe)
hodge and hunt without cover so 2 donuts

    but opponent has
    Brown (covered by jones)
    Didak (no cover)
    Cooney (covered by stevens)
    hodge (covered by strijk)
    and he has 2 trades

hes the best in my league by a country mile
gonna need alot of luck to pull off a win

  • i have no cover for hodge.
no cover for didak now pods is suspended
and mumford is out, but i have warnock

who should i trade out? was thinking hodge to lake

    • who are the fowards you can trade to? instead.. Lake could have a blinder but against a shit Bombers team 120 type effort

  • Leave Hodge in defence and bring in Kelly…..

Or DPP with Goddard into mids and trade for Montagna????

    Leaning towards Joey….

Or trade Brown to to Stevie J ???

    • to Montagna – he’ll bust out a biggy this week my guess. Stevie probly kick 6 or 7 but

  • Right i have 2 doughnuts to cover and only 1 trade

with plenty of cash do i go?

    hodge -> lake?

    or

    mumford -> sandi
(risking the cats bringing back taylor hunt as an emergency for another rested player?)

  • ok i have to trade out hodge & didak i can afford anyone.

Hodge is up back i already have goddard, lake, enright. I’m lookin at kelly, gilbert, gram, fisher, broughton, scotland & can’t decide kinda thinking gilbert or broughton but not sure.

Didak up fwd i already have chapman, roo, pav, ROK, waite. once again i can afford anyone but not sure who to go with. I’m looking at sylvia, harvey, franklin, goodes possibly even cyril.

    thoughts??

    • i reckon either sylvia or goodes. sylvia will go to town on the kangaroos and so will goodes on the lions

  • Ash Smith against Geelong, or Crameri against Bulldogs on the ground??

  • Alright, missing Brown and Hodge and Pod’s.
Po’ds was on my bench and it looks like I’m going to have to use Either Jack Watts to cover Brown or Phil Davis to cover Hodge.

    Which way should I swing?
    I’ll trade the other one.

  • Got Hodge, Watson, and Brown out.

If I trade Watson for a DPP I can do either:

    Kelly and Rioli

    or

    Gilbee/Carrazzo and Franklin.

Leaning towards Kelly and Rioli…….I think.

    • I’d say Gilbee and Franklin. I have Buddy and in the month i’ve had him his lowest score has been 98. I also have Carrazzo and he is starting to hit form, but this week i’d expect around 85. And he has the Dockers *First Team* this week at Subiaco. So i’d say Buddy and Carrazzo.

But that’s only because Gilbee has Bombers and Bombers will slaughter them.

  • G there are a few spuds running around in the GF this week!!!
Phil Davis, Koby Stevens, Jack Watts just to name a few in me and a mates matchup!

  • Final trade…J Brown for??

    Buddy or Pav??

    • Def Buddy – Pav has only got 100+ four times this year. Buddy will turn it on tomorrow

  • Ashley Smith + Chapman

    or

    Broughton/Gilbert + Gray

  • Last trade. Hodge for who? I have Goddard\Enright\Gilbert\Shaw\Kelly\Waters

Im leaning towards Scotland on the open areas of Subi tonight.

    Thoughts?

    • Scotland wouldbe a reasonable choice. I was in the same boat as you, but with Brown out I’ll be trading him instead.
The other guys I liked the look of were Gram (risky, but good record against Adelaide and could get you a 120), Fisher or Lake (suspect form but the Doggies should monopolise possession against the Bombers and he could get you that match winning 120+)

  • Biggest problem for me now is: Warnock or Nic Nat on the ground?

  • Which are the weak teams vs ruckmen?

I got rid of Sandi for Mummy last week to ensure a GF, and the prick fell over.

I was thinking Jolly vs the Hawks, but I guess Fraser will take some time off of him. Maybe Brogan V Richmond or Leunbeger Vs the ruckless Swans…

Or I could always use Warnock and spend my trade on Didak or Hodgey…

I knew I could count on you guys!
