  • Maguire still listed as 2…has to go. Gram has a BE of 174, past 2 scores of 15, 88. Can someone tell me about what he needs to score to drop to 302k in 2 weeks. Thanks.

    • I have a feeling that Brisbane list isn’t updated as JB is listed as 2 weeks as well. I was under the impression that Brown Dawg was back for Rd 16 down here at York Park.

      • Yer, I’m holding Browny. Think Maguire has to go though, been out too long. Would not be suprised if he avergaed 60 upon return. Going to get Heath Shaw. Allows me to get Ablett for Barlow as well.

        • I’m in a similiar situation…

I’m planning to hold JB and depending what happens with my subs (Hams and Webberly) maybe trade up Maguire. I have $190k in the bank so it gives me a bit of freedom.

I had hoped the $190k could be used to get chappy at some point… just gotta hope that either Webberly or Hams gets a game to cover the zero…

  • wasnt brown 2 weeks last report? please hurry up brownie

  • Hmm, bloody Essendon, really want to see whether they think Hille will be back next week or if its going to be another 2. Hopefully we’ll see Warnock come back this week to cover the spot.

Brown listed as 2 weeks is a concern, but with the Barlow injury, Im just going to keep playing P.Davis for the time being.

  • waiting eagerly for Essendon’s injury report as Hille is hope-fully going to be back 1-2 weeks.

  • hey boys.. at this stage i am in a bit of strife.

i got 6 trades left.. and i have barlow, mitchell, grimes.

    my mid cover: jetta, gysberts.

    my back cover: hams, webberly.

my original plan was to trade out barlow to boyd. but then i heard about mitchell.

I was thinking about downgrading barlow to a judd or a stanton. and then upgrade mitchell to a boyd or an ablett. but is it worth it? should i just hold onto mitchell? when he returns from this injury he wouldve had 6 missed weeks this season due to injury.

and then after this, i hear about grimes. not sure if i should trade him either (out for 3)

hopefully hams or weberley can come in for him.. and jetta come in for mitchell, but otherwise ill be coping a 0 or 2.

i am currently 3rd in my league on percentage (eqaul with 2nd) first is a game ahead.

what to do? could someone please help? thankss.

  • Brisbane still reporting Brown to be back round 16. They just cbf updating their injury list.

  • HELP PLEASE!!
I know its still early in the week and i might be sounding too dramatic but i think i am screwed here
I have ziebell, barlow, playfair, webberly and gysberts. I know webberly, gysberts and playfair should play but i am puzzled about what to do with barlow and ziebell.
This iswhat im thinking about doing
    barlow ->> to montagna
and i have chappy in the forward line which i think i might sub with ziebell and then swap in danny hughes from the bench if he plays or i trade ziebell for a forward like browny..Is browny going to play?

    Any suggestions please comment.
I have $45,000 in the bank which makes the ziebell – brown trade possible i think

    • Wait until teams are named mate. No point guessing. That will work though.

Do you have GAJ? If not, what was your reasoning behing getting Montagna over him?

      • K cheers and yea I have GAJ, i thought monty is the next best option and i predict he will only be rested once, if that and will play well these next few games against these opponents

    • Playfair got damage to a bone in his spine in Q2 against Richmond, he’s out indefinitely.

  • can someone please help me…?

  • SWEET no Colin Sylvia on the list :)

    • He wasn’t last week either.

    • I don’t know much, if any about blood clots other than they can be extremely dangerous and in worst case scenarios can cause strokes…so I think Melbourne aren’t taking any risks with Sylvia and want his foot/toe to be perfectly right and clot free before he plays.

I traded him in a few weeks back and he gets one of the most unfortunate injuries, hopefully he his back this week!

      • I don’t think there is much risk of Sylvia having a stroke from a blood clot in his toe, unless he tucks his brain into his boot. Don’t quote me on it though, i’m not a doctor.

        • yea i know it’s just worst case scenario. e.g if the clot spread to his brain or heart or something…

  • ATTENTION ALL
Gary Ablett jnr played all games from round 16-22 last year. He didn’t get rested. Montagna on the other did get rested and with an easy run home that will most likely happen again. Ablett=must have.

Why is everyone saying that GAJ gets rested?

    • Actually, edit that. Checked for myself, Ablett missed round 22. Hm…

    • Plus Geelong want the most out of him before he goes to GC lol

    • +1. Wasn’t the only games GAJ missed because of his groin injury

      • According to FF he missed round 22, AFL website said he played. Not sure what happened there. Late withdrawl?

    really need the help..

  • Hey what happened to fyfe?
Is he going to be right for this week?

  • Hey Warnie and other fellow DT Talk boys. I would like to bring to your attention a team that i have come to find. The team seems to be very improbable and unlikely i don’t actually think this team is possible due to salary cap and affordability. The thing that has made me think that this team can’t be possible is the teams bench that has far too higher cost players on it and teams average compared to the round 14 score…

Would be great if someone could look into this and get back to me it would be great I mean I could be totally wrong but i dont think i am…

The team name is Conzy’s Champions and scored 2509 in round 14.

    • Yeah – posted this earlier in Plus4 thread

Yeah – just had a look at that. I reckon they must have entered an incomplete team before round 1. Then they were able to continually swap players in and out with unlimited trades (as the team wasn’t complete) picking up everyone they wanted when they had bottomed out. Then when they had a good solid team – BAMMM!! go for the weekly prize.

Check out this weeks 8th ranked team “Conzy’s Champions”
Points Scored in Round 14: 2,509
Overall Points Scored This Season: 6,839
      Overall Ranking: 273,968
      Weekly Ranking: 8
      rounds Played: 14
      Average Points Per round: 488.50
      Current Team Value: $11,620,600

Backs: Goddard Hodge Lake Gilbert Scotland Enright Carrazzo Russell Lovett-Murray
Mids: Swan Montagna Ablett Bartell Hayes Barlow Gibbs Judd
      Rucks: Sandi Ryder Cox Stanley
Fwds: Chappy Thomas Okeefe Pav Gia Didak Pods Ballantyne Franklin

      • have emailed virtualsports about it but no reply

      • This Team has now been removed from the DreamTeam competition (no longer appears in the list anyway) – hopefully VS now close this loophole and do not allow any of the prizes to be won be entries after the initial lockout.

    • Thanks heaps for this guys. I would love to hear back from you if virtual sports replies to your e mail… Hope shit like this doesn’t happen often and they get it fixed.

in desperate need for advice.. anybody?

    • Given that you are going after a league win

      Hold on to those trades!!!!

Barlow is a must trade however – depending on cash and your current lines up – any from Swan, Ablett, Montagna, Bartell, Hayes, Boyd would serve you well.

but, Webberly, Gysberts, Hams will likely get another run soonish, if not this round. I’d hold off on any other trades for a few weeks (as long as you are safely locked in the top 4) – then come home with form players for the finals

  • Anyone think James McDonald will be back this week?

sick you having Banner and Gysberts on my field

  • so drew martin. im likely to cop a 0 this week.. either grimes or mitchell. and you think its worth it?

( i dont care about my ranking, bout 18000, just care about the league) im 2 games clear of 4th. and have a decent run home.

so your saying trade barlow. have 5 trades left for the last few weeks + finals? wait for mitchell to come back and grimes then i should have a solid team..

    • He’s right mate, if only playing for league glory a top 4 finish is all you need then load up for finals. Sound like you are solid in top 4……….may even get wins with the donuts.
IMO hold Mitchell, trade Barlow (obviously) and Grimes will depend on how many he’s going to miss.

  • grimes out for 3.. worth trading?

    • Stop being such a pussy and make the executive decision yourself.

    • grimes has been shocking all year. biggest defender let down of the year. im gonna keep him just cos ive been stuck on the titaic with him all year and I might as well stay on now.

  • Anyone looking for a cheap reliable forward would be hard pressed to find a better option than Sam Newman. Old Foss was BOG tonight and he smashed Cobber.

  • Kennelly would be injured if I could find out where he lived.

  • Luke Shuey (virus) – indefinite
Whats with this?? has he got the black death or pox or what ??

  • What is happening with ladson, he is not on the hawks injury and he was not named to play, so has he been dropted or what?
