AFL Dream Team Chat and Discussion: Round 12
It’s Round 12 and we’ve all got one issue or another. Hopefully we can come out of this weekend with our heads held high. Not knowing Mondays final teams sucks… especially those wanting to trade in Gysberts. But we’ve gotta be like the DT coach in Albert Lord PhD DT’s study into Dream Team addiction and see the glass as half full.
The big thing for most people now is that we wait until teams are announced at 5pm today and then pull the trigger. Fingers crossed for Jizzy, but if you are trading him out for Howlett, like me, then it’s a good gamble. If he is to be playing on your ground… well, I would think twice!
Anyway. How are you looking this weekend? Let us know after each game how you are travelling. Chuck in you score and how many people have played. Count your captain as two players, so in total, you have 23 players.
Ahh… can’t wait for Monday to roll around!

2149 with 2 to come. Didak and Shaw. Was hoping to crack 2400 this week but Montagna killed that dream. Hopefully 2300+ but it’s impossible to know whether Shaw will give me 30 or 130.

For what seems like the first time ever, I’m on the amazing side (at least by my own definitions) 2168 with Swan and Grimes to play.
i’ve got 1982/20 with a webberly donut (thanks to hargrave and maguire) but rocky will replace brown’s donut getting me close to 2100 and i have swan (c) and shaw to come. looking good for a change! should crack 2300, maybe 2400 if shaw has learnt how to cop a tag during the week.

Reckon I will scrape home…. but ive had no luck this year im the highest average in my league and im f**ken 10th! Shaw will probably score 140 now :|
Oh man, why did we ever persist with Josh Hunt? It will take a miracle to crawl to 2250 or 2300 – Swan to come so you never know. Considering getting rid of Hunt and holding off on my Bartel trade. Hmmmm, lots to think about.
Another thing, why is it that all my mates love SC?! I couldn’t care less about that frikkin game, but they are all smashing it – just wish they loved DT as much as me!

why are people talking of trading brown so early. we dont know many specific details yet, apart from around a month, and surely most people have rockliffe and pods as cover, both more than capable replacements. save the trades i reckon…
i would be very surprised if anyone was using pods as cover.
pods moved up to a 7th forward for me and my injured players (eg riewolt and brennan) turned into cheaper players like fyfe and playfair.the cash weent to my midfeild and defence
IF one of my forwards get injured (eg Brown) im am going to wait a few weeks leave fyfe or playfair on and get riewoldt when hes cheap (high BE)
But that will take 5 or 6 weeks

1955/21 I’ve only got swan as captain to go. I’ve already won all three leagues. Luckily everyone I played had more injuries than I did. Only one doughnut in the backline and rockliffe and Hitchcock both played up forward. I’m pretty happy with that. If swan gets 100 I’ll be stoked.
