    Apparently that still depends on how well it responds in the first week. From what i read is that they are hopeful of 3, but sounds though they are not real sure at the moment. May have more idea next week………if you are prepared to hold him for one round.

  Oh boy. That might make me change my decision. Hmmm… Brennan worries me about how soft he must have been needed all of the happy gas on Saturday night.
  
  However, I have seen some performances like that before and the player has gone back on the ground (or court) minutes later).

    When he does come back he needs a B/E of 132, so that looks highly unlikely so you might as well trade him out now b4 he’s price fall, if you have enough trades left.

      why would you trade him out purely on a potential price drop of 10K? If you’re trading out a player every time they have a high-ish BE you’ll very soon be out of trades

        The fact is he’s not the best healer when it comes recovering for a injury. So when (If) he does come back he price will decrease in a large amount because of he’s lack of match fitness within the first 3 rounds of he’s return.

  I’m still trading him. Brisbane’s losses have coincided with him being tagged. Peeps who don’t like Brennan (or football, I can’t determine which one) will cite coincidence but for mine, he was Brisbane’s prime mover in the first three weeks. It was because of his ill-advised role change that he started racking them up again, but will he ever play in the ruck again??? All the evidence points to heavy tags from here on, but I hope I’m wrong.

  Yes wot to do with Clark???? Have kept the faith with him early, now bout to miss 3rd game out of 8. Is improving but groins can be shit things to get right. Can see it being like Mitchell (who i also have), where it’s week to week proposition and he ends up misses 4!!!!! Can’t imagine he is that close either if Vossy has ruled him out already. Thoughts????

    Yeah, you can’t “fix” a groin during a season, you can only manage it. Hamstrings, groins, abdominal strains, often the root cause is similar and leads to interrupted seasons. Only significant rest can facilitate proper healing but even then problems can be exacerbated innocuosly.

gold episode guys. im a bit unsure of guys like neon leon and hargrave. both proven guns last year and pretty much wont get any cheaper that what they are now. is it worth bringing them in hoping that they will find form? or are they just having average years. very unsure of whether to take the punt! only…..10 trades left!! i know, its DT sin.

  trading out nason this week for cash then martin up to anyone, question is, swan or ablett?
  Swan will leave me enough to trade mcveigh up to a cheapish premium next week, but ablett won’t. But then again, ablett is ablett… this is the first fun choice i’ve gotten to make all season, all the rest of the trades have been forced by injuries/spuds (seaby… seriously why would anyone pick him ever)

    I am going to do exactly the same trade this week and like you not sure if I should grab Swan or Ablett. I was leaning towards Swan but then thought If I don’t grab ablett now while I have the money I may never have enough for him even if he does go down doubt he will drop much below 500,000

Fantastic episode, liked the format for this one (always helps when the Hawks are in Launie I suppose for a player interview- any chance you could get in touch with the clubs and set up interviews via skype).

How many Golden Stubbies are there floating around? Or is there just the one for the overall winner?

Great episode fellas, I need help with my trades.
I have to get rid of Liam Anthony and Josh Drummond, i have about 70k in the bank. Im thinking of downgrading Drummond to a rookie say Silvagni and then upgrading Anthony to a Swan or something?

  Dude, you obviously need all the help you can get! So don’t get Silvagni (he was great value at $77k, but not any more), also Wik he has a minor injury which is why he missed the game on the weekend.
  
  There are only a couple of back rookies worth considering (one this week and one next week iirc), so if you want cash jump on them – i’ll let you figure out who they are, but in case you are not aware prices increase after their third game so jump on after 2 if you can.
  
  The trades you proposed sound ok, but it’s not possible to say unless you post your side (backs and mids at least) so people can see where the main defficiencies are and give you some advice. If you do want Swan though, i’d jump on this week, he has a breakeven (I’m assuming you know what that is) in the 80′s i believe, so this is as cheap as he’ll get all year imo.

Ok, opinions welcomed:

Im thinking of trading Brennan down to a low priced player then updrading either gumby to PAV/fwd Premium, or upgrading jetta to pav/swan/montagna/hayes etc..?

The thing is what fwd rooks are there to down trade to?
Rockliff has yet to peak and will play many games (games is more important than price) and Jarrad Grant is yet to peak and has settled into the side well.
Have i over looked anybody else? Matt Jaensch is very cheap (77,800) but may not play many games…. Danny hughes is also a solid option (94500)?

My DT week
Monday: Look at what guns have dropped in price.
Tuesday: If injuries or really bad form sus out trades
Wednesday: Look at who will be captain this week
Thursday: If a player is dropped unexpectedly, find out why then maybe if out for 4weeks + sus out trade.
Friday: Make trades
Theres other stuff in there aswell but this is the main outline

Does anyone have any ideas on Geelong’s forward structure now that Stokes is due to return to the team (and Rooke has been sidelined)? Specifically, are the small forwards (Chapman, Johnson, Byrnes, Stokes, Varcoe, Duncan) likely to be rotated?

or doing Hall to hughes which leaves me just short of dane swan and then next week i trade nason to webberly then i get swan? with my left over cash i might upgrade balla too

Too early to be setting your teams in stone yet people. Of course if there are bargains by all means go for it but we’re only 35% through the season. If you’ve missed a gun either wait for him to drop or get someone else.

DT is cruel sometimes, really comes down to timing (Rookie peak vs. Gun bargain). Expect that sometimes you just can’t have your cake and eat it

i will be trading hall this week and i have a two options to who

option one
Hall > Jaensch which then lets me do
Martin > Swan

option two
Hall > Danny Hughes
then i have to wait a week to do

i have started the season horribly at 0-4 (even though i am 4th to top in total points)
anyway i need to win this week and am looking at a double trade
i have $56,800 in the bank to help me

as Water’s break even is 104 this week it looks like it is a good time to take him out
not sure who i can downgrade him to, only one that comes to mind is Sheppard from WCE
please tell me if you know a better option

so after that i have 2 options

OPTION 1: upgrade Martin/Bastinac to almost any premium except Ablett

OPTION 2: upgrade Nason to Goddard

option 2 would leave me with this back line:

Hodge, Goddard, Enright, Broughton, Grimes, Gram, Hargrave (Maguire, ??)

let me know if you have any advice or if you think it is a good/bad trade

  both options are solid, the goddard trade would leave you with a strong defence but there are alot of fallen premiums in the mids (as there will always be)

    i want a player i could leave on the bench for the rest of the season just as cover but there doesn’t really seem to be anyone that will be able to do that

      Jeromey Webberley could hold a spot for the Tigers. Hardwick will soon enough write the season off and having already dropped McGuane (only for him to come back in as an emergency) and with the unreliability of players like Mitch Farmer, will resort to blooding youngsters (ie: Webberley, Grimes, etc.).
      
      He is only $89k and is definately on my radar for a Nason downgrade next week (no need for me to trade at all this week).

3. Brennan-rookie, Nason-Goddard (this will leave Hall and Balla starting in forwards)
4. Brennan-rookie, Hall to Pavlich (leaves enough $$ for Maguire-Goddard in a few wks)
