Chopper’s Wish Comes True

Now you Seaby, now you don’t! It seems chopper has got his wish in regard to Chopping Mark Seaby, albeit in a less violent way. As bad as it sounds, I now have a great excuse to trade him out. The last three weeks I have wanted the big guy out of destROY but have not been able to justify the trade. Now however I have no choice. Don’t get me wrong, I am happy for Mark, he has found a great home at a genuine contender and is playing his best footy. DTTALK wishes him the best of luck in returning for the finals, as long as its only with the Swans, and not our teams…… isn’t that right Warne Dawg. SYDNEY Swans ruckman Mark Seaby will miss up to 12 weeks after scans revealed he required surgery to repair an ankle injury sustained against the Brisbane Lions on Saturday night.

Seaby hobbled off the field after the opening ruck contest against the Lions, effectively leaving the Swans with 21 men for the remainder of their 20-point win.

He will undergo surgery on Tuesday, leaving Swans coach Paul Roos to choose between forward Jesse White and rookie Mike Pyke as candidates to join Shane Mumford in the ruck against Geelong this weekend.

Sincere best wishes with the recovery Mark! but no thanks for the sausage (1 point) on Saturday night. Actually, we will call him bangers and mash from a DT perspective from now on. The sausage, combined with his spud scores.

I have Seaby and danger with next to no cash in the bank – what to do?

Down grade danger? to Who? Jarrad Grant then upgrade shitbe to hmac?

How long is danger out for?

  If you’ve hung onto Dangerfield for a week already, I’d hang onto him until he’s back and find someone else to downgrade. If there is a someone else.

  Sideways and not worth it for what’d be 15 points a week more, at best. Kennelly is a keeper for mine! Have him as 6th or 7th defender come finals time and you’ll be laughing. I’m hoping my starting defence come finals is:
  
  Gilbee, Enright, Hodge, Waters, Kennelly (already got them), Hargrave, and Gilbert or Goddard (probably just pick the 1).
  
  If you’ve got no one else to sell, maybe do a defence upgrade later in the season. There are sooo many options.

    Best case scenario is for back up rucks to play and keep seaby on pine until suitable downgrade can be found. Pine rucks are Trengove and Warnock

I think Goldy will have to be my only option….
BTW, I have had the worse run in DAZZLER history in terms of injuries and have used 6 trades already, so a 2 voter this week aint an option…

Thoughts on Goldy as an option ???
