Sounds awesome boys!
My name’s Nic and I currently studying in Bath, UK, but I was born in Adelaide. I’d love to represent Australia and possibly get some extra info behind enemy lines…
Last year I finished around 1400th, with an average of over 2000 points. Racked up some big scores including a massive 2318. Ordered my prospectus as soon as it came out and have been doing my research so I know what I’m doing when it comes to DT
BRAD here,
this will be my 7th season of dream team and im only 19, currently studdying ie spending my time on dream team half the day. averaged just a touch under 2000 last year and must say i take the league more serious than i do my position at the end of the year. That said i still finish pretty healthy in the standings most years and if there is anything more satisfying than winning your league, its knowing you beat a whole bunch of poms to do it.
(plus the 10 feb is my birthday so this would be a good present thanks boys
)
ooh nice
my name is alex, i came 116th last year in DT and am currently studying in Ottawa, Canada
also i watch the bbc show peep show so have a lot of English appropriate insults involving the phrase twat for DT smack talking
Got my vote! lol
Bloody pommie twats
i vote alex!
hey guys the names alex.
living in tassie. just started too do dream team last year, won all my leagues, finished in the top 8,000 i had no help in picking my team now my 2nd year and im on dream team every day of the week when i can make it to the comp. and im crkcket mad if its about cricket anyway cheers.
alex.
Excellent stuff guys.
Also we’ll be running a Wenches League so if you know any girls that want to play, get them to join in the fun.
Regards,
Schlocky c/o FF UK
DT IS ALRIGHT WITH ME, DT IS ALRIGHT… OH YEAH
Those twats have me in a compromised position being in enemy territory. Win back the Ashes Australia!
What comes to mind when I think about the british, arrogant f@#ks! I’ll be horrified if the british give us a touch-up at our own game, how dare they even challenge us!? I’m not going to sit back and watch them beat us, I demand to be put in this league! They should be nothing but jealous of this country and yet they are soooooo arrogant, lets compair some difference’s,
AFL or EPL
Carl Barron or Billy Connolly
AC/DC or Rolling Stones
Hugh Jackman or Hugh Grant
RICKY FROM MOWBRAY! or Andrew Strauss
They all know deep down they’d rather live in Australia! It’s pretty obvious I hate them, so put me in this league and I’ll DESTROY THEM!
stones are way better than ACDC
just saying
One, simple rule puts me ahead of the rest:
Third Year Rule.
Yes, I fall under the most beloved rule in Dream Team. It never lets us down in guiding our player selection, and it certainly wont let you down in choosing me to represent the country.
You know it’s always been my ultimate, lifelong dream, since watching the Atlanta Olympics as a 3 year old, to represent my country on the sporting field.
Well, I’ve done athletics for over a decade -still can’t make the state team.
Also played hockey for 8 years, but gave up after yet another year of failing to crack into the A grade side -purely for being a little bit too ordinary.
I can’t play football for peanuts -so now I’m a boundary umpire. Yes, a boundary umpire.
BUT now I’ve found my life’s calling. I’m destined to finally don the green and gold in the ultimate Dream Team showdown.
My squad, the Gaitbuls (a team name paying respect to the local aboriginal history -very cool Australian team name!) have put in the preseason hard yards; I’m on the verge of a massive breakout year, and you should pick me to thrash some poms.
….Anyway, you know what Alex always says when it comes to picking and effing sweet team -it’s important to always have at least one ranga in the side! Who else is the Aussie squad gonna take the piss out of at training, if not me?
me…being a blood too
Hi Boys, u need me on ya team.
I’m not gonna say how good I am in fantasy (even though im pretty good) ill just let you know when it comes to England, there’s nothing more i enjoy then watching their sporting teams suffer!
I would love to represent DT Australia, inflict some more pain and show up their knowledge of all things sport is by far inferior to Australian sporting fans!!!
They cant win a world cup in Football (soccer).
Their Olympics record has sucked for ages.
They can’t win a Tennis Grand Slam.
The only thing they got going for them is they’ve show how jagged 2 outta 3 cricket ashes battles.
They wont be taking the DT title, what couldda bunch of poms know about our great game!
I’ll do it, im cricket mad and just to help me i made 50 not out last week
ill be in the wenches league, let me know where and when
If you want to be in the Wenches league send me an email and I’ll send you the code.

Hey guys, sounds pretty sweet.
I’m a 16 year old male 4th year DTer and basically a sports nut. I live, play and breathe AFL and support the Brisbane Lions although I live in victoria. I go to games regularly watching all range of teams including Brisbane and watcha lot on TV or listen on Radio. Loving the Prospectus this year and been researching for this DT season for ages. Cant wait. I did well last year and am set to improve again this year. I also enjoy and follow cricket and soccer.
oh finished near top 5k last year i think….but more improvement this year
Hey guys
I’m a young bloke and I love footy i’m always watching footy as well as havin the computer on to look at the live dream team stats I finished quite high last year but had to make a comeback as unfortunately I was away and missed out a few rounds but I had some big scores but couldn’t get back for a win.
And lets face it who wants to waste an opportunity to beat a pom
Pick me!
I support stoke city + Port Adelaide
I’m a huge fan of the EPL and would beat the Poms at there own Prem DT.. Lock me in
Well where should i start fuck,
There is nothing better then rocking back on an australia day getting hammered then rocking up the next day to watch australia tear england to shreds and drink some more, this is the way every day should be with a boags watching the cricket.
Just about my fantasy my pre-season has been a long and tireless one researching reading all the afl clubs injury lists researching players and buying my prospectus helped a bit.
So yeh boys just pick me because im a gun
*Christmas day instead of aussie day lolol
HEY GUYS
Just a heads up, if u pick me just know i’m crap. averaged about 1900 last year and finished somewhere in the 50,000s but if bragging rights are on the line than maybe i could average just a tad over 3000
:):).
Nahh just kidding
love to spend hours on the computer researching each day so that i can take bragging writes over my mates.
bragging rights over some poms. That deserves a whole week on the computer researching.
You want proof, suss this beauty of a team!!!!!!!!!

aussie army, aussie army, aussie army, aussie army, aussie army, aussie army,
aussie army, aussie army,
Chuck another steak on the barbie
Very poor ruck divison man
That is the shittest team mate, wtf is with ur forwards no wonder u didnt go over hte salary limit
Great idea boys
I may not be apart of ur group, but if there was room for one more it would defiently be me. I take DT serious, I’m good and i refuse to lose. I know who to pick and how many kids i should have in my team. Australia will obviously win, but with me repesenting our great country, a win is 100% guaranteed, i know that seems cocky, but I’m only speaking the truth. With me being on the aussie team, you wont need to panic about a lost!
There seems to be a common theme here of OVER CONFIDENCE. Just because the dirty stinking Poms live in a small dank and generally unwashed country, does not automatically mean they could know absolutely nothing about our Great Game. Footy Fanatics are Footy Fanatics where-ever they reside, and the Poms are possibly the most maniacal Fanatics out there (although EPL isn’t a true comparison to AFL).
As a general rule the Brits are pretty good and passionate at what ever they do – Would you rather drive a Kia or a Rolls Royce, a Ford or a Bentley, a Mazda or an Astin Martin. I served in Iraq (Aust Army) along-side British Troops who are ranked amongst the finest in the world. They have produced some of the most remarkable people in history across a wide sphere of subjects – Science, Literature, Politics and yes, even sports. They have thousands of years of history and we have a mere 222 since colonization
At the 2004 Olympics the Brits were ranked 10th against Australia’s 4th. Just 4 Years later they were 4th against our 7th. They love their sport. England is the birth place of the armchair Sportsman – Darts, Snooker, Pool – where an average person could transform themselves into a world champion. Online sports just make it a tad easier.
The point I am making is that this battle should not be taken for granted as won already, you need to respect your opposition, plan your strategies well, execute the plans ruthlessly, and then sit back and reflect on your achievements without any undue arrogance, and then …………………………………kick the jibbering crying limey sod in the balls and suck piss till the sun comes up.
Put me in, I want this
rank last year 2259
DT guys im here to help you.
ill reply some peoples comments to help you decide who to pick
haha you would definately make my team.
Hey guys, this sounds sweet as!
Dream Team is currently my life and fall under the ‘third year rule’ as a DT-er….. ewwwwwww!!!!
In 2009 i averaged roughly 2000 and this year there is no doubt I will improve with a greater love and addiction for DT.
We are still a month or two away from the start of the season and all ready i have gone through every dream team page available on DT talk (deck of dream team, training reports and the likes). I have taken at least three pages of notes on every good rookie and all the players from the deck of dream team and am that type of DT-er who is constently refreshing the webpage, waiting for the teams to come out. Wouldnt it be great to have a young, commited DT-er on your side who is on dream team making little adjustments everyday and night?
I am very strategic with my team, buying cash cows early in the year and upgrading all through the year. I have learnt all the tricks and strategies from the boys (Warnie, Calvin and Roy) and would dream for a spot in this Ashes side. I hope you wil accept me into the squad to take on the poms so we show them that they cant beat us at our own game; because in Aus we take our DT seriously.
hey boys, u might remember me from last year. I even appeared in that dt talk episode when u asked the fans to email a vid of them in
. I also competed in ROY’s league just year, holding down top spot for a lot of the year but bombed out in both finals ( danyle pearce screwed me over ) was ranked in top 100 for most of the year, got a high rank of 52 before crashing down to about 250 in round 22.
Im a hardcore DT fan and dt talk fan
. Have gotten all my mates onto the site as well. Been putting some hard hours into my team and the prospectus of course. Being a sporting man, nothing better the walking all over those poms while holding the Aussie flag high!
CARN THE AUSSIES.
I am the coolest.
doesnt desereve
Hi My Name is Jake (DOKRO1)
The reson i think that the DT TALK community should let me represent AUSTRALIA is because i a mad cricketer and there isnt anything more that i love than beating an englishman at anything, rugby, cricket or anything i just want to take them down….If you give me the opportunity i wont let you guys down ill take input on the team from everyone as this team wont be just my view i believe whoever gets chosen should have to get the DT TALK COMMUNITY to also have a say at the SELECTION TABLE….so ill even have POLLS into who should go for which position and captains…..i would really enjoy to have the opportunity to represent AUSTRALIA on behalf of DT TALK because together we will win THE ASHES….and LET IT NEVER GO TO ENGLAND
THANKS JAKE (DORKO1)
I just simply love AFL dream team and beating the poms, nothing else needs to be said
Im a English Guy but would like to flog the english in the ashes for me to come from england but suppourt aus ashes and aus must show my commitment to the aussie team Sooo please pick me DT Talk The English are going to get a lesson
I, nsanity, am coach of a team in the Nestle Cup and believe it is in your interests to pick one of our teams. All of us in Nestle take our DT seriously and have introduced a system of medals (e.g – ). Chris Landau won the award for the best DT intro, has won the nestle cup 3/5 times and has been one of the top 10 in the world. Jono is a force to reckon with, topping the league in the H&A season several years running. However, due to such fierce competition he is yet to make a grand final. Thumper has climbed his way to the top in recent years, smacking out massive scores of 22-2300 on several occassions and improving massively on his average. He is capable for a big year and will be lookin for revenge after his bitter grand final loss.
There are a few others in the league that would be able to live up to the challenge, such as myself coach of the Nsanity Blues. I am regularly involved in the dt talk site and my DT and have had some great campaigns in the last few years. However, I am more of a consistent team, having made the finals every year except 2009 (including 2005 when I was 15th in round 12). I averaged 1930 last year, and had big problems with injuries and late inclusions, which indicates how high you have to score to be successful in our league.
We all started DT back in 2004 and the Nestle Cup has been operating since 2005. So we all have experience on which players have performed/failed as DTers in the past. The 3 lads will take a few calculated risks, but have the essential structure for a strong team, that many other teams would lack. Knowing these guys and their capabilities, all three of these guys would be ideal candidates for the team. Personally, I would feel comfortable knowing that they are supporting us here at dttalk and am confident others would too.
Would love to tonk the Poms, they are the only team to cheat more than the Pakistanies but I would end up double trading just to cover a 1 week donut if my team was up against a soap avoider, damn I hate that Barmy Army! I really want to finish higher overall though this year, and let the leagues take care of themselves, so might give it a miss.
Already lots of interest – great to see !!
We look forward to having the craic during the season – I think Warnie should refuse to allow people who finish top 100 overall, must be ball tampering or something
Just to give an overview from the Poms side – we are all about banter – but we do really enjoy the AFL fantasy games – all of our league guys are decent players and some are top EPL fantasy football players as well..in terms of AFL? Some of the guys have been playing for a good few years – we have a decent mix of Poms, Spuds, Yanks and Convicts …. Some of us are fairly new to the sport itself – but we have had a fair few top 1000 finishes amongst us – which isn’t bad when some of us have only played 2 seasons so far.
We are very confident that we can tame the Colonials..great to see so many Convicts trying to improve themselves..hopefully we can have some good banter over the next few months – and cheers to Warnie and the crew for agreeing to take on the challenge, we discussed it at the back end of last season but great to see it moving forward..If our cricket team (as average a team as I can remember) can win the Ashes so easily this should be a breeze….

I’d love to take on the Poms and represent Australia. I hate the poms, they think they’re the best at everything, even OUR game. I reckon I’d be a great person to shove their words back up their ass. The English need to be taught a lesson on which country is the better (fantasy) sports people! GO AUSTRALIA!!!!!!
I know this isn’t the greatest post or in the greatest 8, but i mean well. I’m plain and simpley, hopefully you guys like that
This will be the third year I play DT : my first year was pretty quiet; in the second one, I got to a slow start but little by little I held my spot in the top 4 and ended by winning my league.
And for the first time, I’ve had a complete pre-season, so I’ think I’m in for a great year.
This year I’ll probably be in the thick of the action, watching every game and analysing everybody’s performances. I hope I can go under the radar and rack up a lot of points.
I’ve been in the best of my class at fitness tests, so i’ll be able to stay cool at all times and make good judgments regarding trades.
In other words, I am the DT gun you need for your team !
Hey guys, my names tom & I’m 16 years old.

I love my sport, and hope to be a journalist in the industry someday. I love my dreateam, and my cricket.
Skillwise, I have played 2 years (so entering my third) and averaged close to 1950 last year. I have done sufficent research already this year so I actually have a good bench this year
I love beating England, I watch your show on youtube upon its release, and plan to do some dt interviewing with some players in the future.
I am very competitive, so if its a contest you want, bring it
Bring some youngblood into the aussie lineup!
Tommo
If you don’t pick me you may as well just go and give the mob from Pommieland the Ashes. Nothing to be said about me all you need to that ifyou need a big score i can get it, if you want a bit of sledging i can dish it out . I may not have the absolute best team not have the highest average but just pick me youll regret it if you don’t
Hey guys,
Finished 53rd or 54th in DT last year with a couple of scores late in the seaon in the top 10 weekly. Absoloutly love my cricket and know pretty much everything that is worth knowing about it. Would love to put my knowledge to good use in beating those useless poms!
There still seems to be a number of people under the impression this is fantasy cricket – It’s NOT, It’s AFL DT versus the Poms.
I think we need to burn a Sherrin and drop the ashes in an urn. A perpetual trophy announcing the death of English Fantasy Sport.
Any chance I can enter the Wenches league?
That all depends on whether you are a ‘buxom’ wench or a floor scrubbing wench…..or perhaps a buxom floor scrubbing wench ( this type is most welcome..LOL )
Why you need me, i’m entering my 8th year of dream team, i think i was there when it first started?
and in all those years i’ve never finished outside the top 10,000 with a best result of 352. I’m a veteran of the game at just 23 and a guaranteed winner! I’ve finished inside the top 5000 in 5 of those years and averaged over 1900 in all of them and over 2000 in 3 or 4 of them.
I’m more than happy to throw out some sledging to those poms who won’t know what their up against but in the end i don’t think we will even need to when we let the scores do the talking.
So for a guaranteed aussie win you need me on your team! Just send me the code and i’ll bring home the DT ashes.
Liam was in my dt league last year me and him made it to the grandfinal he won by 28 points put him in fellas!
you boys need the doc to represent this great land of Australia. I’ll send those soap dodging filthy bastards back to the pavilion to go crying into there warm beers. And when its all said and done and the Aussie boys get the chocolates Ashes will stand for Antoher Sad Horrific English Season. Its time to avenge the 03 rugby world cup and the 05 & 09 cricket losses. The Doc wont let you down
hahahah thanks Selv
My team name is (as it has been since Kellogs Nutri Grain) STRAYA.
Enough said.
