West Coast Eagles Training Report: 10/12/09

kerrtrainingIn an article from the AFL site, we hear that Dean Cox and Daniel Kerr have ramped up their training loads, but what is exciting is the impact that draftee Brad Sheppard is making at the club. He is doing centre square drills with the midfield group – taking on other new recruit, Bradd Dalziell and he also smashed the running drills. Looking good! Hopefully a round 1 debut for him. Keep your eye on his progress!

For those with an eye on DT favourites Matt Priddis and Andrew Embley, they’re still managing their return to full training. Another name to watch is Luke Shuey who could be a nice bargain… after he gets over his hernia operation.

West Coast will be a big club to watch over these next couple of months. They should improve and have plenty of guys who you would say are underpriced.

  1. nice writeup warnie. Every preseason is the age old “to cox or not to cox”.

  2. You should always Cox. Last year was an aberration

  3. Haha. I think Cox will massacre DT

  4. I think I’m going Sandi over him this year… But Shep seems like hopefully a good rookie back

  5. i told ya shepp was a gun
    get on board that shiz

also JK will chop this year as will KOBYYYYY STEVENS :)

  6. Gone are the days when Cox was a lock!

  7. Hey Turks what do you think of C.Wilson get a few more games this year?

    • wilson might have to fight for a pick. if he starts in the season start against brisbane he probably play for about a min of 7 games if he does well if he dosen’t he probaly like last year be picked near the end of the year but he will get a run.

the 2 Brad’s will do good. Sheppard & Daziell. Masten & Ebert third year. Swift, Houlihan, Cockie, Shuey, Rosa all good midfielders. Unlucky we had to let go of Jamie McNamara & Ryan Davis i really liked them.

Eagles will be a force in the next 5 years and we be consistent. if your playing dream team, i would choose from sydney, collingwood, west coast, brisbane, hawthorn or the kangaroos. they have alot to offer and are bargains.

this is just my opionon what do i know, im just a 13 year old. getting his dream team ready but still waiting 51 days for round 1
