Righteo… what a rotten week for captain selection. Firstly we were screwed over by the Saints, forcing me for the first time ever in my CC’s experience to alter my top 5. Then the guns in my top 5 failed to perform… gggrrrr. Anyway hopefully something better happens for us this week, things will be different. Lets go!

Well yes! Things this week are very different and I’d firstly like to thank the 1,373 people who voted, but yeah CC’s this week is very different and I need your help… I’m very pushed for time after a busy busy last few days, sorry, my apologies. So what I have done is this. I have scouted through my regular dudes and picked 6 guns for this week and analysed them with reasons why they are great picks. Then I have named my top 6 at the end in order based on that.

MATTHEW PAVLICH… Vs Melbourne @ MCG
Why not? Pavlich is a gun, and you’ll need to be in this top 6. He only had 70 last week but still averages 109 in his last 3 this year and this week he is playing against the Dees. Against the Demons this big nut averages a huge 131 in his last 3 games. With previous scores of 148, 118, 127, 134 in his last 4… I say again… why not???
NICK VOLDT… Vs Essendon @ Etihad
Last week Pears went to Jonno Brown who knocked up 89pts even though he kicked poorly for his 0.5g. JB had 21d and 9m and this week Pears will surely go to Voldt and the Voldt will kill him!! He averages 115 in his last 3 games Vs them and has scored 7×100+ scores in his last 8 Vs them. With previous scores of 106, 133, 106 the Voldt should be right to go after a week off. He averages 124 at Eti in his last 2 and watch out this week!
GARY ABLETT… Vs Sydney @ ANZ
In his last 2 games this year, Gary has averaged just 82 and surely is ready for a trade mark 150+? Last week he had a tiny 71 which is his lowest score of this year… BUT … Gary plays the Swans who were is favourite team to play DT wise in 2008 with scores of 126, 150. He averages 120 Vs them in his last 3 and had 126 last time he was at ANZ Stadium. But V8 what about your #1 captain rule = “Never pick a captain Vs Sydney especially if the game is in Sydney”. Ummm, yeah a little worried about that… but the numbers here speak for themselves… screw the rule ha ha!!
LENNY HAYES… Vs Essendon @ Etihad
Bloody prick Lenny! You were my #1 last week, I hate you!! Anyway, over that…. Lenny loves playing the Bombers and they are his 4th favourite team to play. With previous scores of 147, 90, 118, 116 Lenny just loves them. He scores 100+ a huge 83% of the time at Eti on ‘09 but has only knocked up an average of 87 in his last 4 games in ‘09. Ummmm??
DANE SWAN… Vs Richmond @ MCG
At at the MCG… you beauty!! Swanny averages 131 in his last 3 there and has knocked up 11×100+ scores in a row this year, and will surely make it 12 this week! He averages 97 Vs the Tigers with previous scores of 89, 62 and 141… which isn’t that great. That 141 is the only 100+ score Swanny has had on the Tigers in his career of just 6 games. My big tip here though is this… listening?? Last week I said Shirley will go to Swan… he did! This week Daniel Jackson or someone else will tag Didak, not Swanny. Get on! Didak too damaging last week and will not be left alone!
JIMMY BARTEL… Vs Sydney @ ANZ
Last week Jimmy had 87 (his equal second worst score of 2009). He averages 118 in his last 3 Vs Sydney with scores of 108, 122, 124. Solid hey?! In his last game at ANZ Jimbob racked up 122 and must be considered this week!
So this week I will be going Swanny. My overall average is something shit as I went Ablett last week! I haven’t included my last weeks top 5 this week cause my tips were shit and I blame the Saints for that so I am passing the blame… yeah I am! Go Swanny! I’ll be going whatever V8 hasnt named in his top 6…
for weeks now I’ve been going based on stats and so on from V8 but Ive had shit captain scores..
Ablett the last 2 weeks, Bartel’s 52 etc…
Didak for me this week as no-one mentioned him and he’ll tear richmond apart…

Shit, I’m struggling for a captain this week, Gablett has let me down of late, I’ve got Voldt, Pav, Godd, JB, Bartel, but on form, maybe Broughton vs Demons…. ah shit this is killing me!
Anyone considered Goodwin v Hawks? Averaging 117 over last 3 games.
Also got GAJ,GOD,Bartell,Davis,Pav,Clarke and Broughton as possibilities.

I’m gunna take a risk with captain KIRK, he is tackling like a fiend and i reckon he could whip out a 150 this week: big game vs cats, season on the line and ROK getting the pig. If not I’d be on Jonno, Gablett and Jimbob have let me down the last 5 weeks!

Calvin thoughts on Didak?
Going the the voldt. Surely he will be jumping out his skin after missing last week and coming up against tate pears.
I will stick with Swanny for captain. He hasn’t let me down yet and I find that my competitors often don’t have him in their team, meaning I can capitalise on his high scores. Often if I pick Gablett for captain, my competitor has also picked him and thus it renders him as a null value in my team.
dane swan because richmond is on an experimenting phase where tagging will not be their concern and for that reason i think swanny will have a pretty good numbers just like the previous games this year.
given im playing short against the guy im vs’ing this week, im going a big risk at Mitch Clark gets the big C this week. hoping for another 145

Swany as captain. Usually have Ablett as captain, but don’t want to risk it- in Sydney. one leagie, in Prelim, one I am in the semis (playing this week) and the other I am out.
