Eliminator Status: Active or Eliminated?
We are now getting down to the pointy end of the awesome concept that has been running for the last two years, The Eliminator!
We started with over 130,000 teams and now, half by half, teams have been knocked out and we are down to our final 512. Are you one of these? Hopefully we have a few left here in the DT TALK community to root for over the next few weeks… because none of us blokes are left in it!
Tell us how you’re looking and also any hard luck stories… like mine where I got eliminated the weeks I went to 14th in the whole world… gutted!

I was eliminated early on when I had a freakish 16 players out all in the one week!
I was playing the clear leader of our league and forfeited, saved my trades and copped all 16 doughnuts.
Score 1350 odd I think.
Was never in the hunt for the Eliminator anyway.
Now into the Top 4 of my league scoring 2100’s

I’m still going… and I don’t have Swan! The guy im playing this week currently has gia, goodwin in the fwd line and muston, hartlett, cockie in the mid… I’d better win this one as my last 2 opponents have had much better teams!

I am Still live and kicking but have a big decision to make this week do I keep Super Pav or not as Tex got the lemon and sars last night with only 2 trades left due to bloody injures.
I am think of trading him and hope like hell no more injures.
The bloke i am playing has Cox, Gia, muston ,and the pav so hopeful i am a chance

Yes. I am still an active. Just trying to keep 22 on the park. I ditched Cox a couple of weeks ago with no ruck backups. I’ve dumped Gia and Pav to try and keep a good score going. Opted for Aaron Davey and Brennan. Go Swanny. Go BoneCrushers!
eliminated! because of that stupid rule where if you get a 0 it subs in your emergency. The other team had Pendels, copped the zero, and brought in a 50. Lost by 30.
Still in – but won’t be after this week – my opponent is much stronger! Praying for a miracle…

Got eliminated last round, superb effort considering i had 2-3 zeroes, went down by about 150 pts… downgraded geary to clancee pearce and geary racks up 106 while pearce is a late withdraw…lame
still in the eliminator luckily…..tough match this week though….i need my onfield rooks like ballantyne,hill,nick nat to stand up.
got elminated in round 8… i went from having 8 players in my fwd line to having 3 (out: mcaffer, cloke, chappy, zieball, higgins… and hentchel was always out) and managed 1513 – knew i was losing all around so didnt try to cover anything
Stevo, 16 donuts and scored 1350? That’s pretty impressive, do they let you count every player as a captain when you have 16 donuts?
Still in, was very lucky last week, was sitting on, chornes, cox & pendles with 0’s and that unfortunate loss of pavlich, but came through with a very avg score of just under 1900.
I’m gonna beat Twin’s though this week.. well hopefully
Oh yeah only bad thing is I got 5 sainters in my team and they happen to be versing Geelong.. so makes it that much harder this week..

Eliminated. Going into the week I had just scored 2381 and was 28th overall. My opponent was 33,000. He had Goddard captain who got 42 and had a 0. I still lost.
Still hanging in there. Not sure for how long. Copping another 0 this week for the big shlong, but hoping to get over the line. Made the final 32 last year, so will be v-happy if I can get that far again. Starting to become a bit of a conflict of interest with my league matches!

stevo so getting 1350 odd with 16 out would everyone of your players got 200 plus fair effort I guess seeing as no one has scored 200 this season
James, I know there is 30 players in MY squad and I’m assuming Stevo had 16 out of the 30 scoring 0 (mmmn 16 donuts) that leaves 14 players and one is captain meaning ave. per player would be 90pts. If captain gets you 300pts the other 13 only need to ave. 80 to score 1350. Stop being so critical of others
BTW I got elliminated whe I was ranked 40 vs 30000 way back in Rd 8 and my team only managed a low 1893 (think Ablett, Chapman, Higgins was out and other team had piles of collingwod players who scored freakishly high scores) not happy since i ave 2100+ since Ablett got back
16 donuts leaves 14 scorers in the team – what’s so ususual about 1350 pts – it’s a sub 100 average
I was eliminated R10 by 41 points Corey was a late withdrawal and i had no bench cover, i was gutted
even weirder than 16 players out was that he was playing someone from his own league, what’s the chance of that! go and buy a lotto ticket mate
I’d argue that a doughnut is only a doughnut if they actually play, i.e. 16 players out would only be 8 ‘nuts. Non-playing reserves do not ‘nuts make.
westy – agree 100% although it can differ in the context ‘my bench has been all doughnuts all year’ but, yeah, only if they play are doughnuts

Rachael is on the top of my league – has done very well all year…will be a tough one to beat.

Just made it through carrying Cox and having Foley go down early still managed 2050, if only the pair of em player woulda been looking real good for a big score

I got the ass bloody hell thought i was going to be ok with the late withdrawal of Steve J but i made the wrong choice this week took it off hayes and out it on SWan.

I had a really bad team early with low scores coming out my ears…. some how managed to stay alive and even this week got a win even though my opponent didnt have cox and i did.
