ASHES DREAM TEAM

ashesYeah I know it’s not footy related, but if you love your aussie sport, it’s un-australian not to have a Dream Team for the Ashes.

So, if you’re like me and your AFL DT is going down the drain, spark this one up. There won’t be any chat in here about it, but sign up to our DT TALK league: 639171 at http://fantasy.cricket.com.au (you can win $$ in this DT cricket site unlike the other ones). Happy DTing.

  1. For those who signed up to the other DT TALK league… sign up here as well so you can win $$, in the other one you signed up too can’t! My bad!

  2. I’m In. Should be good fun.

  3. PJ Hughes is my captain

  4. Made one even though I know nothing about cricket..and don’t really like it(Unaustralian I know)

I hope I get lucky and win! haha

  5. Nolls XI is in :)

  6. I don’t normally go in cricket DT – only two teams makes it boring because everyone has the same players.

But a mate and I are doing a draft for the Ashes ie each player can only be picked in one team. We toss a coin to see who gets first pick and then alternate picks until we’ve each got a unique XI.

Should be good, hope I don’t get stuck with Collingwood though. Twat.

  7. @Rob haha yes he is a twat, couldnt agree more.

  8. im in as Aussies Ashes 09

  9. i’m in to back the Poms all the way, this series should be a cracker and to give you aussies a chance I promise to pick more Poms than aussies in my team

  10. will you be giving out prizes for this league??

  11. The poms think they’re a chance here. They also think Andy Murray is english. Muppets. It’s like saying Daniel Vettori is Australia’s number 1 spinner.

I hope there is points for breaking bones, coz Mitchell is going to do alot of bone smashing. Just ask Kallis and Smith.

  12. @ GravatarDisco (UK)
It gets funnier; they’re playing the first Test at Cardiff in Wales! My reasoning for this is that the first Ashes Test in England is normally at Lords, but England haven’t beaten Australia there since 1934 so they decided to play the Test in a different country because Cardiff is where Australia were beaten by Bangladesh in the lead up to the 2005 Ashes. The same match Andrew Symonds was dropped because he got pissed the night before.

  13. @ Robin,

I like the idea of getting a different XI to make it a bit more interesting than normal.

Can’t wait to give those Poms an absolute floggin!

  14. Does this mean Warnie and co will be making a cricket show ?

  15. Done, Mitch locked in as captain.

  16. MICHAEL HUSSEY aka HUNDREDS

  17. Join this league aswell,….

    Code: 334058

  18. Haha @ bozzy_lad, Hussey is in a massive form slump, hes been struggling in all forms lately

  19. @Tassieboy and Disco(UK) – I think you’ll find that the Aussies also play test cricket in Queensland which might as well be a different country

I am quite happy to support anyone from the british isles and we english do not hate the scottish, welsh or northern irish (although admittedly that feeling is not always mutual)

If you aussies are genuinely concerned about the change of first test venue then the Poms have a chance

Aussies still favourites but Mitchell will need to take a lot of wickets, and be able to swing it in.

  20. Im in gents.
    Team: Norfolk-in-chance.
Don’t know yet if thats me or you guys with no chance :)
