Great reports from the AFL website indicating the likely return of Dean Cox. A huge sigh of relief for all those that kept the big legend. Not allowing a full celebration the Herald Suns interpretation of John Worsfold’s words was he will miss one more.

As a lover of Cox, it’s my natural instinct to just sit on it (haha, how gay does that sound) and ride (still sounds gay) the one or two week doughnut. However, I actually had the need to trade him due to a number of reasons.

• My ranking slipped outside the top thousand
• If I didnt trade, I would have had Cox as a 0 and Taylor Walker on the ground
• I had been drinking
• I had no faith in a downgrade rookie playing out the season on my bench (already had Anthony)
• Badly needed the money to upgrade Walker
• It was my last chance to get Jonathon Brown

So I now have J.B and Darren Jolly instread of Coxy and Walker, 190 this week instead of 25. I also have reliable bench cover
instead of a 2 week wonder that will be dropped. Its not ideal, however I did like that Jolly had only 1 score under 90 in the last 5 weeks to strengthen the deal. Its about my 5th make or break move for the year with the last 4 being a break. So far so good, especially if coxy misses a few more (mind you I hope he doesnt).

Anyway, the reason im bringing this up is there are alot of people that are now faced with 2, maybe 3 0’s this week due to some popular picks going down. How many 0’s are people willing to sit on? how have the Pav, Gia, Warren injuries effected your trade plans? I am seriously low on trades but Pav has me with 1 finger on my “too happy” trigger.

So, what are people useless “pre team selection” trade ideas? The reason I say useless is because I will spend hours working out who to get in for Pav, only to see Ryan Houlihan out along with half my other Duds, ruining all my bright ideas and allowing James Boags to trade for me late Friday. Fill us in on what you will do at this stage to cover your injury woes?!
