Counting the Carnage: Round 13 Injuries
Another round goes by… and of course, some of our players go down with injuries. Argh! The biggest name would have to be Matthew Pavlich (calf) who is likely to miss at least two weeks, maybe more. He is at a price where you could trade him for some quality right now, but with trades dwindling, if you have cover, my advice is to hold.
Jobe Watson (ankle) will miss two weeks, Max Hughdton (ankle) is doubtful for this week and Mark Williams (knee) will have scans to see the severity of his injury.
Poor old Ben Warren (broken leg) has had a shocking run… coming back from his broken face, he didn’t trouble the scorers (good thing – his value doesn’t drop) so… sell, sell, sell!
Latest word is that Dean Cox will miss this week, but watch this space.

Have been ‘playing catch-up’ all year with injuries…and now Pavlich. Oh well just have to deal with it – with only 5 trades left its all I can do!
dont have swanny, i want him, but do i wait or grab him now? will leave me with next to 0 green, but i gotta cover for cornes and boak’s for 4 weeks, and possibly cox as well
basically, is he too expensive to bring in and should i just go joey or lenny etc.?
planning on nabbing bartel in a week or 2 as well, so the more money i can spare the better, but that will set my mids for good
Cannot believe the bad luck to choose to keep Ben Warren instead of Mitch Brown, then to lose Pavlich and Warren in the same week.
If Garlett gets back in for Carlton, I’ll probably grit my teeth and hold Pav. Otherwise I need to make the call between trading Pav (to Boomer Harvey?) and cashing Warren for, say, Liam Jurrah (which gives me a sub once Pav returns, and bonus cash for the rest of the injury trades, but obviously worse scores while Pav is out).
I got 2030odd with Cox’s donut and Pavlich’s 19 or whatever he got.
Had a massive SC, 2450 with Cox’s donut! I don’t talk about SC on here, but that needs mentioning!!
Cox missing this week also, SHIT, can’t handle Cox/Pavlich donut…. actually, Brown/Walker combo on the bench had done me well this year with donuts so hopefully that’ll work again!
Pavlich is just about the first player to get injured that I don’t have!! so great week for me, 3w’s even with the cox doughnut

What does everyone think of Boomer Harvey? Other option is to hang onto Pav, 8 trades to go. What’s everyone thinking?

Thinkin of trading forwards ziebell and warren out for jurrah and petrie.
And hold on to pav and garlett to keep the pine warm untill superpav gets his leg put back on proply.
I also need sidearse in the midfield to play incase muston gets chopped.

I traded Cox and Ziebell out for Brown and Fraser so am 140 up over not trading (Would have got Walkers 24). Will need Walker (or Hogan) to play well this week to cover up for Pav. Top 1000 for the week. Just outside of the top 1000. And loving that have slipped ahead of DT Talks own Roy. Hopefully on the way up and Hope they give Cox an extended rest!

I traded Pav to Chappy this round. Hopefully this trade will work but I am down to only one trade for the remainder of the year!!!!!!!!
Another injury to add to the list…bloody Pav. Have Ballantyne as cover so hopefully he can put up more than 26 at Subi. Please don’t be out for too long Pav the Stars need you!! And come on Coxy two weeks off, thats enough big fella you’re sposed to be a machine!!

Why would you trade today ? Especially when you’re bringing in a player with a known history of soft tissue injuries and late withdrawals.
Maybe Nick Nat was worth the trade if Coxy is gonna miss a few more weeks.

Going into this round i have 2120300 on the bench meaning an average of 265037.5 per person…
with only 5 trades left i cant do anything about but hope my players come back soon enough.
