I say YES! Ryan O’Keefe to the Hawks if they give the Swans their 1st round pick of #16. HELL YEAH. The Hawks will be a tip top team for the next several years. O’Keefe will slot in nicely right now and make the Hawks a mega ultra contender for those several years. So why not give the Swans your pick #16? They wont get a proven jet at #16, until he develops of course. O’Keefe is 28 years young and is already there. The Hawks already have a young list – they don’t need anymore! It’s not like the Hawks will give up Buddy, “Take a”.. Chance Bateman or Stuey “eat a chicken” Dew. So what do the Swans really want? Ummm… what would you offer the Swans for a DT Gun like O’Keefe? I’d offer them a years subscription to Calvin’s Captains (the real version, not the fake one I publish here) and free massages from Chop with complementary happy endings.

Maybe the reason the hawks haven’t got him yet is because they are waiting for Crawford to retire, to free up salary cap room for O’Keefe. Surely theres not 500k a year laying around in the hawks salary cap for O’Keefe unless someone goes.
If the Hawks do get him, they will be very, very hard to beat in 09′.
I don’t care about any trade except the Eagles trading Hansen to Bulldogs for Ray…now that Ray’s gone to the Saints we’re stuck with that useless f_cking ranga.
hawks have heaps of room in their salray cap because most signed contracts when we were going pretty bad and therefore they werent offered much money, i cant believe we wouldnt give up our pick 16 though, that would have been a great deal
O’keefe will go to carlton in the pre-season draft .
Unless the real reason he wants to leave is because he can’t stand his teammates any more, he’ll go with what he knows and stay in Sydney. I think the reality is he wants to play in another premiership (understandably), but if the Hawks don’t have the salary cap room (Geelong certainly don’t) then going to a club like St Kilda or Bullies or North would be a huge step into the unknown. He might as well stick with Sydney.

Heard that Port were also interested, we’ll see if he actually does hate the Sydney boys if he agrees to that. However I thought Port were going to pick up Carr in that draft. I’m sure he’ll play somewhere!

He’ll be at Carlton, they told O’Keefe to try not to get traded so they could give him 600k a year instead of the 400 or something that hawthorn wouldve given him.
