The news that matters…
Freo Captain Matthew Pavlich, who is owned by over 69,000 DT coaches, has been officially ruled out of this weeks game against Collingwood. Those with him and with a trade in the back pocket, then you can basically get whichever forward you want!- Cats defender Max Rooke has accepted the one week ban handed down by the Match Review Panel.
- Geelong midfielder James Kelly will miss another week due to his quad injury. Bomber Thompson wasn’t sure whether Matthew Stokes would get up to play after being a late withdrawal last week, although he did say that Ryan Gamble would more than likely play.
- Roo Shannon Grant joined the list of retirees. He will play out the season.
- Melbourne has dumped Jeff White and Adem Yze from their list… the good DT news is that they will play out the season (ie. this week).
- Collinwood has resigned Paul Medhurst… it is unclear however if Vin-Twin will pick him up in 2009!

Shocking DT news although as a Demon fan I do agree that those two deserve a farewell.
Just on Jeff White, apparently Carlton is going after Dean Brogan. If that’s true then I think White would be a much better option, he’s still a top5 ruckman imo. Does anyone think he’ll get another gig?

Brogan won’t leave Port, both parties don’t want too part ways. An agreement will be made cause we can’t afford to loose Brogan
Jeff White to Sydney to replace Everitt. Sydney’s best young ruckman had 2 games this year and was a long, long way from the pace, much further away than guys like Trent West, Brent Renouf and Todd Goldstein. Sydney had to rely on LRT as backup ruckman some weeks.
It will cost them bugger all (quite possibly they will just get him in the PSD, or else they will trade like pick 80 for him) and in return they get a top 5 ruckman for 2 years. Swans love to do that kind of thing.
