Go one of the westcoast players cos they are tanking their brains out……which means crap players will get games ie mckenze selwwod etc

  44. GravatarBy fryzie on Aug 7, 2008 | Reply

Geoff, if you have more than 3 trades left downgrade the poo out of someone and then upgrade your ‘cheap backman’. Seriously, you do not want a fringe player this time of year it’ll drive you to drink on Thursday afternoons waiting for the teams to be released.

    *glances at his stubby*

  45. GravatarBy fryzie on Aug 7, 2008 | Reply

Muppett: only problem with the West Coast is that everytime a player shows a bit, they’re rested or sent for surgery - Staker, Kennedy, Ebert..

Daniel Rich had better be worth it.

geoff proud easily he carved last week and brisbane will continue to play him…

  47. GravatarBy Muppett on Aug 7, 2008 | Reply

Nah theyve pretty much got no choice but to play these players cos of the surgeries……i mean look at their emergency pat mcginty:WTF?

geoff you could also get thursfield or n brown if ur s=desperate…….at least theyre guarenteed a game

Fairley: I’d like to hope so cos he’s covering Shaw for me til Milburn comes back. But Lethal has a tendancy to give him f*ck all gametime. Lethals crazy.

You’re a Lions supporter though aren’t you? You think he’ll play the year out and get decent gametime?

    Interesting.

Melbourne- pretty much guaranteeing that White will be retired/traded at end of season, ditto Yze (I could see Sydney picking up White for a song to replace Everitt… maybe as the steak knives in another deal. Looks to have at least 2 more years in him physically).

Geelong- Looks like Tenace is going to get opportunity #10 (or whatever it is) to have a run if Ablett pulls out. Prismall is having a charmed life, since Ablett’s return is at the same time as Chappy is out… wonder if this game-time will persuade him to stay with the Cats? Awesome player to have as a depth player. Varcoe finally gets dumped, has done very little much of the season so that’s no surprise.

Hawks- GIVE ME BACK JARRYD MORTON AS COVER YOU IDIOT CLARKSON. Ahem. Crawford named for game 300, perhaps they should rest him until the finals to use the milestone there? ;)

Brissy- Having to bring back Henderson (who is clearly not ready for prime time) is showcasing how little depth they have in talls. Huge game for them… quite possibly GAWN for finals.

Carlton- Saddington. LOL is the only appropriate comment. Why pick old hacks now, just when Carlton is starting to smell finals?

Port- Damn, P Burgoyne is back, back trouble eased for my opponent this week! Hope they knock off the blues. (Incidentally, remembering Port’s injury list, is this “best run with injuries in the league vs most injured crippled team in the league”? Only Essendon and WC are in competition with Port for injuries at the moment, although NM was right up there earlier in the season. And yet Lade still can’t get back in, writing’s on the wall. PSD to Sydney or Collingwood?

Collingwood- 5 changes. Basically a statement that they have given up on finals despite being in 8th. Shocking culture that club. At least they’re donating to a good cause, the “one more finals series for Robery Harvey” foundation.

St Kilda- Ball out, Hudghton in. Call that a draw, I reckon, or you would if Collingwood had anyone for Hudghton to play on. Maybe he can thrash Medhurst and kill my DT dreams.

Sydney- WTF Malceski not back in but named emergency? Surely signalling a late replacement for Goodes.

Freo- In 3, out 3 for Freo and you can’t really say if it makes the team better or not. Sad.

NM- Simpson probably a late withdrawal and saves Grima or Sinclair’s ass. Interesting that Thompson is named but only on the bench, but surely he gives a better contest than Leigh Brown and must play if fit.

WB- I swear the same guys get named on the extended bench every week for the WB. Probably no changes.

Adelaide- Stiffy is definitely back. Everything else is a lottery (I would guess the ins are Stiffy, Tippett and Reilly for Porpz, Knights and Campbell but who knows)

Richmond- Tivendale LOL. See: Jason Saddington. Wallet can’t be serious… you give these guys a sniff of finals and suddenly they think hacks are the way to go.

WC- Scraping the bottom of the barrel now. I want them to win two more games so they lose the priority pick and do us all a favour, but how can they do it? The boasts about WC’s depth have been extremely exposed this season… as it turns out, they had none, and even some of the guys i their best 22 were being totally carried.

Essendon- Sucks that Reimers is out. Dons have really worked hard in the 2nd half of the season but just haven’t had the fit cattle often enough. Shouldn’t get too far ahead of themselves though, their spine is about to retire, Laycock is a hack, Ryder is massively overrated and Gumbleton can’t get on the park, so they’ve got to try for a flag in 2009 or not for 5 years, pretty much.

  77. GravatarBy Christo on Aug 7, 2008 | Reply

whitey mcmahon is more expensive than birchall, newman, gilbee and co.

kurt. seeing that after this i will have no trades left i think i will use up my money as well as i can. also newman is much more reliable than guerra and averages more.

  78. GravatarBy Mark on Aug 7, 2008 | Reply

Woohoo Ablett finally back in the squad, just in time for finals. Would have been happier if Jarryd Morton had come back to cover for Didak and Porplyzia though. I have been playing this game to, it is pretty addictive but still super fun, so go to http://goallineblitz.com/game/signup.pl?ref=17070524 to check it out.

  79. GravatarBy wallcob on Aug 7, 2008 | Reply

er i dont think newman averages more than guerra. they would be almost the same and if he did it would be like 1 or 2. guerra has potential to score massive points when let loose across half back. newman will only ever hit up like 70-85 points.

Cobra Kai, they said he’s gone for the season with brain bruises and his dislocated shoulder so I wouldn’t count on it.
