Lets start with Bartel. Averages a huge 118 Vs the Demons that consists of 32d, 8m and 5t in his last 3. Form is on his side too. He has averaged 133 in his last 5 this year at 34d a game. Bartel’s lowest score Vs Melbourne is 108 in his last 6 games. Sold yet? Joel Corey averages a nice round 100 here and had 130 last time they met. His lowest score in his last 5 games this year is 119, and averages 125 during this time (31d). Get on any of these two! Again!! Ablett is worth a thought but coming back from injury makes this a small concern. Probably could have played last week, so he should be fresh as a Tetley Allrounder in their new snap lock containers. But after 3 wks out, my bet will be with the other boys here.
LAST TIME THEY MET: Rd 3 - Cats won by only 30pts. Corey had 130, Bartel 125 (30d, 10m) Pink Pig 122 and Ablett (108) did well despite a MacDonald tag. Bruce kicked 3g for his 83 as he played most of the game on Steve Johnson (74). 10 players had 100+, 6 of the Geelong.

With all the talk of Buddy’s kicking trouble, I looked into it… and the numbers say he’s getting worse. 1st nine games this year he kicked 45g at 58%, last 9 games he’s booted 40g at 52%. Who cares he still kicks shit loads! Get on this pony. Mitchell racks em up in Tassie and will be worth a thought again as he has averaged 110 in his last 2 games this year. He will dominate Vs Brissie, mega! Hodgey has averaged 105 in his last 2 this year. Browndawg, umm, Vs the Hawks he’s had scores of 29, 111 and 26. But did have 173 back in ‘06. He’s had 0×100’s in his last 3 this year, lift dawg! Not for me this week, stay clear J.B fans. Yeah and Simon Black is no longer spoken about in here till he lifts!

Those two boys had great games last week though, 108 and 107, shame shame shame. Swanny will carry the load here as he averages 106 here. He averages 29d Vs them in his last 3. But he hasn’t scored above 100 in his last 4 this year. Reivoldt scored 73 last week to brake his run of 5×100’s. He didn’t play against them in Rd 8, but he only had 16d, 8m and 0g when he did play them last back in Rd 14. 2006. I’m not sold on him again this week. But Collingwood did allow Buddy heaps, so maybe. Hayes has scored over 100, 4 out of his last 5 Vs the Pies, so maybe he’s worth a small thought (if he plays that is).

His last 2 scores this year of 65 and 89 prove that what goes up, must come down at some point, but hell was he on fire a few back! Plus, he did have 128 last time he played the Eagles, that consisted of 27d and 10t (he’s a danger). Priddis is st-ruggling. Captain choice will be crucial this week (”thanks for stating the obvious Smerg” I hear you say…) as a cap with a lowly 70 against a jet with 130 instantly gets your opponent an extra man essentially. The Geelong boys look strong but I’m liking Big Budwood down at DT Park in Lonny. Trouble is, he could go for 150 or he could go for 60! At least he never fails to excite!
Also, to support darcy, where is the price check Chad?!? I rely on it to work out not only who is great value, but also update my opponents averages. So in case you were wondering if it was still worth putting it on the website, trust me when I say plenty of lazy good for nothings like myself are hanging out for it!
Would have loved to see Harvey go around one more time and reach 400 games, he’s still got more guts than most of his teammates who are 10+ years younger. Only Hayes, Ball and Riewoldt in that team are fit to shine his boots. Sad that the Saints didn’t make a GF a few year ago and give him another shot at a Premiership.
