Defenders
Joshua Head had his price rise last week but still has a BE of -4. John Anthony from Collingwood needs 7 to maintain his price and Scott Selwood needs 9 to Break Even.
Not much love going around at the moment for Heath Shaw (I am as frustrated as everyone else, but he is the 4th highest scoring back and not missed a game) and he needs to put up 147 to stop his price from sliding even further. DT Talks own Bock Dog was pushed forward last week and as expected had a lower score. Bocky needs 122 to hold his price.
Midfield
Bradd Dalziell has averaged just over 100 from his first 2 games, and has the lowest BE that i have ever seen of -136. St Kilda’s Robert Eddy needs 6 to hold his price.
Forwards
Shane Valenti continues his good form filling in for duds like Paul Chapman with a constant hammy and Mathew Pavlich with a jarred knee. In the past month Valenti’s lowest score is a 74 which has helped his price rocket to 232k and he needs 21 this week to hold that price. Ryan O’Keefe has put up a massive 155 and 138 since Burton went down (why didn’t you pick him up Warnie?) and is up to 358k now and with a BE of -15 is sure to rise again.

heath shaw is like riding a rollercoaster where the person in front of you keeps throwing up there guts and consequently covering your face with it
which pair would you prefer?
R. Murphy and Swan
or
Richo and S. Mitchell
Richo and Mitchell
Murphy and swan, only because richo is a bit of an injury worry and mitchell handballs like it’s going out of fashion. It causes his scores to fluctuate heaps.
On another note do people think that the big bad Bock is worth getting at his low price (after another drop of course). He is top 5 average for backs but he might just sit up forward…what do you guys think?
wallcob, you forgot the part where he kicks your dog on the way out of the theme park.
Jame King is far worse than heath shaw, wait the “1 week” for 2 weeks, for him to be listed as “test” and not play, to then be listed as available and not get selected.
Dalziell What a gun is that the lowest breakeven ever? Why hasn’t he won a rising Star award Surely!
Fryzie, you should know that he then continues on to deflate you tyres & steal your plama!
Top work on the price check again Chad.
Matt - i’d go Murphy & Swan
We should have a ‘nearest to the pin’. Come Monday morning, how many DreamTeams will have Dalzeill? 20,000?
I’d say about 99% of all active teams with 3 or more trades. He’ll add a lovely $200,000 to my kitty. Which I need in order to upgrade all the fricken injury prone crumbs!
* plasma!!!
Yeah Jacko it’s bullshit, Dazzle shoulda got a nomination but they went with Reimers because he has played pretty much all year (even though the nomination is for that round only).
And Fry, Bocky is more effective at CHB so if he keeps playing CHF dont expect too many tons. He will probably go forward for the next 2 weeks against Carlton and Richmond but expect to see him back in defense after that to take on Lucas/Lloyd and Riewoldt the next week.
No offense Chad but why do people need this column when they can just check fanfooty or FFGenie? its not like your giving ppl many tips or anything, just the BE’s.
XztatiK - I love this column. Comes at the right time of the week, summarizes it the way I want it, and means I stick with DT Talk for everything I need. Great work Chad.
XztatiK, no offense taken, you don’t need it then don’t read it. I have given a few tips, Valenti was always my boy, Nick Lower recently to cover back pain.
Fanfooty doesn’t list players by position which is usually the most important when you are looking at getting someone and not everyone uses FFGenie (Java).
aww. seems my cotchin has peaked
need to upgrade him soon for a gungungungun
no valenti though… go you good thing!
hopefully ablett comes back and his price drops a bit more, wouldnt mind traded one of those lads for him. he’ll be handy come finals
**not valenti though
***trading one of those lads..
fuck my spelling is horrible today.
Nah it’s good as a forum to discuss trade options and who has bottomed out or peaked that’s why I’m here. But if people don’t want to go to fanfooty or don’t use FFGenie like you said, I just think it would be better to simply list the players with their BE and maybe a few tips at the bottom, I don’t see much advantage to the paragraph-style when you can really only list 9 players on nearly a whole page with not much other info.
What does everyone think about Chapman? He won’t play for around 2 to 4 weeks. Keep him or trade him?
i am 7th in my league and if i lose il drop out of 8 and im playing 8th this week should i do
OUT:Playfair
IN:Deledio
or keep the trade and hope 4 the best???
btw that is my last trade
XztatiK - There are links to all the BE data at the bottom of Chad’s report segregated by position!
Xztatik, isn’t that what he’s done. Listed the players via link and adds a few tips?
Either way I rely on Chad’s price check every week as I can’t get fanfooty and FFGenie here at work where I do most of my best DT work. The format Chad uses allows me to paste the data into a spreadsheet to not only is it easier, I can make it look like I’m doing work at the same time.
Thanks to Chad’s price check, my “Alt-tab” frequency is way down from it’s previous RSI levels.
Great work Chad. Not only DT saviour, but OH&S representative…
Tatziki
There is links to all that info at the bottom of the blurb, and they are conveniently broken up into position. I love this column.
Smerg - ahahaha!!!
I apologize guys, and Chad. lol I never actually bothered to click on those links I thought they would just direct me to where the forwards, mids etc. were on the page. My bad, again, soz Chad.
3 trades left, 50k in bank. Would like 2 big trades for finals.
1. Bird -> Dalziel (172k in bank)
2. Stanton -> Hodge (150k in bank)
thoughts?
Whyw ould you get rid of stanton, his is in the top 15 midfielders in the comp??
*Why would you get rid of Stanton, he is in the top 15 midfielders in the comp?
r murphy and mackie or guerra and richo? im leaning towards the first option
any thoughts on my last post?
Jim: Mackie and murphy by a long shot! easy decision.
Did: if you think you might lose then go for gold!
Stanton is also the highest average for the last 6 rounds after Cox and Reiwoldt.
Stupid, stupid man.
Do you have any other weaknesses in your team? Stanton would be a strength.
no probs XztatiK
disco- if chapman misses 3 or 4 weeks, then he will only be back for prelim or GF time (if my calculations are correct). So i would trade him, its probs unlikely that he will come back after 3-4 weeks and straight away post a big score, needs more time.
Dids- since your a chance to not make finals- trade trade trade!!! But deleido might not be the right move for a big score this week, cos tigers are playing cats (most liley to get tagged by rooke or ling).
This week is the last week that richo’s 48 counts in his price changes, so his BE is 128, i am hoping that he gets around 100 and i can go chappie to richo with my last trade
ablett out
Ablett out, Lucas out, Johncock no certainty.
According to afl chapman out for 2-3 which means he can be used in finals…don’t trade just yet.
Bock will play forward against carlton as well. he did mention he wants to pla CHB…
gd point sam,4got richmond playing geelong
who would u guys get out of 4 Playfair
Medhurst
Roughead
S.Johnson
Gia
Fevola
or go wit Deledio despite playing geelong
any thoughts???
Get Stevey J, all the Cats are point scoring machines. I wouldn’t discount Lids tho, if he gets the Ling tag he’ll rest up forward and hopefully still get a decent score. If you really want a player for this round get Stevey J though.
Anyone know if Clinton Young, Dew back this week?
Also need advice on the following trades:
(4 Trades left, $71000 in bank)
Out: Lonergan ($248500)In: Dalziell ($83500)
($236000 in Bank)
Out: Tippett/Dempster ($161300, $232900)
In: Richo/Nathan Brown or Bock?
dids- gotta agree with chowder, SJ best choice there. Roughie could be a smokey and bob and kick an bag against the pies (not the best backline). But if u want the best player for the next few weeks i would go with deleido. U have to weigh up whether u want the best player for this week or for the rest of the afl rounds (dt finals).
Dids, rule out Gia as well if you want a big one this week, he’s got Sydney. And Fev’s got Rutten. Not wrapped in any of those options but I’d go with StevieJ.
And Bocky said on 10news Adelaide that the leadership group have noticed a significant improvement in whatever it was that Stiffy was doing wrong. Still not sure with Massie to come back and so many youngsters doing well last week.
