AFL TEAMS: ROUND 17

Files under 2008 | Posted by Warnie

SUNDAY TEAMS UPDATED!
Shock horror! Austin Wonaeamirri is out ‘injured’ yet he is still an emergency?!

AFL TeamsOh oh here they are!! I spy with my little eye…. a word beginning with B.B.B -yep Big Bad Bazza and Malceski returning for the Swans. Pocket rocket Rhys Palmer is named as is Riichoo! Jeff White is in the 25 man squad again after being ’sat’ for the last 2 weeks. Pete Burg will sit again despite being fit after he turned up to training in ‘an unfit state,’ (gassed maybe?). Unless you’ve been living in cave for the last few weeks, Chad needs to be traded as he’s out for the season. Johncock and Morton (hawks boy) have been dropped, as Jed Add-cock returns. Do you like what you see here? If not? Watch the DT Talk weekly video, funny shit and that will cheer you up!

Cox or Riewoldt as captain…decisions decisions. I want to go riewoldt but ill probably chicken out and go cox because I am a softcock

Beautiful. I don’t have P Burgoyne. Palmer, S Selwood, Riggio and Add-Cock all in. Chad out but that’s no surprise. And Gamble and H Taylor held their spots.

No cover for Mids or Backs but will be the first week for a while where I don’t cop a doughnut (presuming Palmer plays).

  6. GravatarBy Multipass on Jul 24, 2008 | Reply

out of the top 10, 8 have the chad, 4 have johncock, and 4 have burgoyne. Looks like its goign to tighten up for the lead.

Pumped to see WHITE,RICHO,RHYS and PORPZ
Sad to see no Joel Mac or Pete B there!!

no injuries. 2 emerg for backs, forwards and mids all playing.- life is beautiful.

    7 trades left. coming 900th.
    Weakest /out of form player::
mattner, ibbo, stevens, priddis, heath, vince.

don’t feel like i need to trade any but ive got 7 trades to burn.

plenty of cash cows.. who should get out of the team and for who?

didn’t need to post this but i know it would make people jelous :) hahaha

Same dilemma as you Rob. Seaby was named which means Cox will spend heaps of time on the bench but I’ve got a feeling Embley and Wilkes will double team Riewoldt and stop his scoring. Are there any WC supporters out there who know just how injured the big fella is playing and whether he will spend heaps of time on the pine?

    OMG.

    I am missing:
    Joel Macdonald
    Johncock
    Chad Cornes
    Ablett
    Jeff White
    Porplyzia.

    :(

    Thanks Burgoyne!

Thats it, have to trade Chad now - looking at McPhee but he has a kid due in September.. knowing my luck this year I’ll make the grand final and McPhee’s kid will drop on the day of the Essendon game and he’ll miss.

Should probably just go Birchall. *grumble*

Sam - who knows with Cox, doesn’t look injured but who knows? As for Embley and Wilkes, I think you’ll find Eric MacKenzie will get the job on Riewold and hold him to about.. oh I dunno, 7 goals from 15 grabs?

dt - I was liking the looks of lonergan as a down grade , geelong have some good games after this week so he may score well going into the finals, depends if you need the money scarlett still has an -BE so its hard ? Im having the same problems making my mind up !!

stealth - coz johncock was on the bourbon & coke cans.

Finally get mcleod, richo and porps back only to find out cockboy gets dropped by the leadership group. What the fuck? As for jake king, what’s going on? Last I heard he got his dates mixed up and headed off early to Iraq for his end of season trip. Hope they blow the fucker up!

3 doughnuts this round, ablett, king and cocky. Oh did I mention I got no trades left? I’m 12-1 at the top of my league only to see that good work during the season put me in good stead to get thumped by everyone in the finals.

I formally announce that my DT career is over!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved throughout my career and a special thanks to all at DT Talk who have made the journey an enjoyable one. I discovered you guys by accident this year and will forever remain a loyal fan. To everyone else goodluck with the rest of the season and excuse me while I go wedge a shotgun in my mouth.

fryzie, White has been named on an extended interchange 4 weeks in a row.

and yeh Porpz is named but he won’t get back to his scoring capacitiy as a forward now…:(

  22. GravatarBy Uncle_Stan_Stan on Jul 24, 2008 | Reply

Is Porpy for S. Johnson a good trade??? have 5 trades left, am trading Chad out for Goddard this week and also have Palmer and Cox…

    Any thoughts?

Joshy, I would upgrade one of those backs to Bock. If you have a cash cow in the centres downgrade him to Daziell, 119 in his first game should see him get a few more before the seasons out, and Leigh gave him his vote of confidence during the week.

  23. GravatarBy fryzie on Jul 24, 2008 | Reply

argh, I’m pulling my hair out here.. now need to trade the Chad this week with Purgoyne being a ****

Want to do McPhee, cos I think he will kill it for the rest of the year (and he aint gonna get omitted with 18 injuries on the Essendon list)

But safety directs me toward Birchall… wont score big, but will play every week and get 65-99. Unless he gets tagged. God I hate backlines.

  24. GravatarBy juggernauts on Jul 24, 2008 | Reply

Bloody hell Burgoyne (u had 4 weeks to get gassed-taylor another 70 odd and u will be forgiven), and to add to my frustration porps named. Wanted to wait a week before i traded to murphy (to save $20,000). Every dollar counts!!

  25. GravatarBy sam on Jul 24, 2008 | Reply

good week for me so far…
got ablett and porps(chance for late withdrawl).
To make things better for me wheatley decides to do his calf and then morton and johncock get dropped!!!

Should shape up for a massive score…jeez im pissed off :(

Not rating what I see there, and I had already watched the DT video…but I watched it again anyway.

I am in a similar posie to Warnie, really need to win to make the 8 (even though I am about 4th in the league on overall points).

Johncock and Lade dropped for me will hurt.

Mike B, I’ve had mackie from the start, stuck with him through his early injuries and he’s repayed me with some good scores. Got Milburn last week and they got the same score.

I think they are similar scoring players so Milburn could be the good option to save the 30 Gs. Both are pretty consistent but Mackie ave’s a bit more.

    I’m sick of it!

D Cox has been “rumoured” to be out every week since Round 5. Every week I don’t put him captain and every week he tears it up and it kills me!

BOTTOM LINE - Put Cox as captain and watch him get 150 (he spends a bit of time off already so TOG won’t be affected by Seaby). If one of these rumours finally is true, put Riewoldt VC and watch HIM get 150.

    TRAIN OUT.
