Geelong have ruled Gary Ablett Jnr out of this week’s game against the Hawks… ouch! His ankle isn’t right but they are hopeful that he will be right next week.- The match review panel offered Justin Koschitzke a week… and he took it for his jumper punch. He’s the only bloke to miss a game from the tribunal this week.
- Brad Johnson is expected to play this week despite twisting his ankle on the weekend.
- The latest Lion to make is debut as an $82K DTer, Brad Dalzeill, is a shoe-in to play this week! He scored 119 DT points… possibly a record on debut! Get on him if you want to cash someone in (Palmer if he’s on your bench possibly)… he’ll be there the rest of the year!
- Richmond have confirmed Kayne Pettifer will miss the rest of the season after doing his knee in the VFL on the weekend.
- Vin will be happy… one of his walking wounded, Matthew Richardson, is a confirmed starter this week!
- The Bombers have 26 players available this week… probably going to be one of their worst sides to run out in a few years?! Any potential captains from the Magpies Calvin?

If Palmer is doubtful but not definitely gone for the year, I might hedge bets and trade Masten for Dalziel (I don’t think there’s anyone else at 270k or below who’s capable of scores like that). If Palmer plays I have cover for Ablett, if Palmer doesn’t play at least it’s only 1 donut in midfield instead of 2 (unbelievable that my mid has been good all year and usually had two subs playing, and then I get both subs injured/dropped and two mid injuries on field all at once…)
