Price Check with Chad

Defenders

Price Checks own Nick Lower had a great first half and put up his highest score for the year (I stated he wouldn’t score overly well, but should get games to the end of the year) has a BE of -19 this week. Geelong star Matthew Scarlett has a BE of -13 and is averaging 52 this year. Kangaroos Lachlan Hansen is at -10 this week.

Midfielders

Ben Davis from the Kangaroos (if you can trust Dean Laidley) had a great game against the power (most players do) to put his average at 67 over his first 2 games, his BE is -32 this week. St Kilda’s Robert Eddy was solid again with a BE of -16 and after a massive 120 (on my dam bench) Trent Cotchin has a BE of -1 this week, meaning he will peak in 2 weeks.

Forwards

The other ben from the Kangaroos Ben Ross has a BE of -42 this week if he gets into the final 22. Gun rookie Shane Valenti put up a great score last week ensuring that even after his 40k price rise he is still at a BE of -32. At the other end of the table Matthew Richardson needs 180 to maintain his price if he plays this week, and Robert Murphy has been down lately needing 154 to break even.

  7. GravatarBy Chad on Jul 16, 2008 | Reply

    No mention of Buddy?

What’s the point of talking about rookies at this stage of the season? And Scarlo averaging a whopping 52 this year (what a bargain!).

Maybe talk about the guns that have bottomed out or are relatively cheap next week, cos there’s always injuries to replace. Isn’t that right Vin? (Nelson: Ha-Ha)

    Good shit Mr Cornes.
valenti and cotchin can still make me some money :)
    loving it!

Dan, the point for talking rookies is that believe it or not, some people have 10 trades left, and may be looking at a Ibbotson to a rookie and use that case in the finals.

I will talk about the guns more from next week though.

dan what is the point of mentioning buddy? his break even of like 70 whats so big about that? who knows buddy could do some crap which would not amaze me and get a score low like 20.

The Robotics exam was a piece of shit. Was averaging about 90% before it. The stuff I learned in auto control would be better for controlling robot backmen. Robotics just dealt with like robot arms that are used in manufacturing.

Dan is not the real Dan :)

Dan find another name - i’m ‘Dan’! :)

    Loving Ablett’s breakeven! …

    Dan.

p.s., I’ve got Franklin so there is no reason ‘real Dan’ would ask about him :)

    Dan (real).

Chad, Ben Davies didn’t play against the Power. He played two games a while back in the season (I think the second one was against Freo) and got dropped… wouldn’t be expecting him to play a 3rd game this week, or any other time for the rest of the season.

Ben Ross is guaranteed to be in the 22 for this week anyway.

Ease up Graeme, I was bored.

I would like some advice please!!!
I have Palmer who’s price is falling with BE of 110 this week, he is my sixth centre. I want swap him without spending a heap of dough. Was thinking Lenny Hayes or ???. Spend up to 400k or less hopefully.

    Help please would be appreciated.

Hibbo - K.Cornes, Corey, Cross are the quality under 400k. Hayes is a good value option at 329k. Goodes isn’t too bad at 354k either.

Who do you have in your midfield currently?

  23. GravatarBy Higgo on Jul 17, 2008 | Reply

Thanks Disco interesting i have bartel, corey, cross, kornes, stevens + palmer. Also thinking cooney could be an option. I want a consistent performer.

  24. GravatarBy Disco on Jul 17, 2008 | Reply

Hibbo - haha, well you’ve got the quality ones.
B.Harvey is super consistent and 383k. Hayes is reasonably consistent. Cooney (395k) is a bit up and down - I wouldn’t go for him. Swan is consistent but costs 429k - probably not.

    - Hayes is a bit of a risk with injury and his team is up & down.
    - Goodes is a great player and his team should win a few games.
    - The Roos will have a few losses but Harvey will pull out the shinboner spirit to just get his team into the top 8.
