Richo is out
Richmond will be forced to take on West Coast in Perth this weekend without their best forward Matthew Richardson and their best defender Will Thursfield after the pair failed to train on Thursday.
Tigers’ assistant coach Brian Royal ruled the key pair out following the Tigers’ final training session at Punt Road in what is a major blow to the club’s already slim finals hopes with Richmond needing to beat struggling Eagles to stay within a game and a half of a top eight spot.
Both are out due to hamstring injuries.
“Matty couldn’t get up to train today so we won’t be selecting him in the 22,” Royal said.

just another case of a slight hamstring strain proving to be a 3-4 week proposition.probably a good chance richo will not be playing next week as well.

A source within the AFL has released a rumour that Buddy Franklin has received a third strike for failing a drug test. If this turns out to be true could be the biggest story of the year in the AFL!!!

apparently he wasnt at sum fan signing day 4 the hawks a few days ago n ther players always say thers no party without buddy….still think its bullshit tho…just hav 2 wait and see, it sucks coz i hav footy training soon so if any news bout it comes out ill miss it

Just announced that Michael Voss has accepted a two year deal to be an assistant coach at West Coast for 2009 and 2010. He denied a 3 year deal from the AFL to be the first coach of the new Gold Coast Team.
