bartel for me. finally playing a decent elim opponent ranked 240 or something. we both have two backline 0s at the moment and a rookie covering a gun. hopefully he makes no trades coz i cant really afford to. shaping up to be a good game.

With Ablett playing the way he is, i’d be a moron to consider others.
When Ablett has a sub 100 game (will happen soon) captain choices will become crucial again!
Lets say you have the following midfielders:
Ablett, Judd, Stevens, Swan, Palmer, Cotchin on your field, and Ibbo and Scotty Selwood off. You want to get rid of Ibbo and put Cotchin on your bench. You can pick any midfielder you want (plenty of cash), who do you pick?
I’m not sure out of Scott Thompson (can he keep it up? will he handle a tag like he did last wee for the rest of the year?)
Bartel? (cheap and quality)
Corey?
Mitchell/Hodge?
Cooney/Cross?
Dilemma
i think Thompson was had a bit of an injury last week so he might b betta now he has the week off so id go Thompson but Corey probs has more consistency but up 2 u
i would go bartel or corey
Im thinking Hodge this week for skip. I wanna make someone who is playing this week captain. Just to stay on the safe side.
tyson….. i dont know if i ca do it!! i was gunna trade for ablett but the whole cornes, king, b.jones, proud and mcleod thing in my backline has me hanging by the balls. captain choice is the least of my worries haha
Pavlich after thinking it over he’s a safe option and got like 160 last year against them. Buddy was very close i’m too pissed at Kane and plus he has Cooney to worry about ……… Ablett has his lowest average against Adelaide !
the vice captain option really removes the risk of picking Ablett as captain. If he falls over next week, at least you’ve got that backup.

Tough choice Mac, can’t really go wrong with either of them. I’d go Roo cos I have a feeling he’s gonna be playing a Richo type game on the wing from now and hence dominating.
I have Salopek and Chad and I was thinking of trading Sal to Bartel and playing Taylor for Chad. Would it be a better option to trade Chad for Guerra and play Wellingham or trade Sal to Bartel and play Taylor? Cheers

I’ve got plenty of quality to choose from in regards to captains (ie. Ablett, Pav, Thomo, Bartel, Richo, Corey, Didak) but my pick is crucial to getting a desent score as I have King, McLeod and Chadwick all out with only Urquart covering so 2 definate zero’s (spewing!). Ablett’s the obvious choice but I have a funny feeling he’s gonna drop off a little this week.
Just for the record I had this same feeling when I had Thompson captain for 4wks straight when he blitzed and then changed to Ablett last wk to escape Thompson’s dismal 59er. I’m actually leaning towards Franklin as he’s due for a blinder and the Eagles have no one who can really go with him as the obvious choice Darren Glass is carrying an injury. Is Franklin good for 10+goals or do you guys reckon I’m over analysing and should stick with Ablett? Any thoughts?

Thompson is carrying a calf injury last week he could hardly run in the training before hand, should be back to his best after the week off.
