Well, on Thursday 12th, the DT Talk crew will pack our bags and head to Melbourne to catch a few games, gather DT material for the show and to … run a muck! We will also be having our first ever DT Talk Party/Gathering…
On Saturday 14th the DT Talk crew consisting of Roy, Warnie, Calvin, VT, Tit-Ed and a few more of our ’special’ mates will be at the “Precinct Hotel” in Richmond at 7:00pm ready to roll. We will be there to watch Sydney vs St Kilda and Adelaide vs Hawthorn games, also to chat DT and to gas on!! So, book it in your diary, tell your Mrs. that you will be home late, fatten up that wallet and come on down. We are extremely pumped to meet all those people who we only know as an alias so get on it. Will we be seeing you??

The precinct used to be a ponced up bogan joint……It was called the Depot. Now they have done it up and there are more plasmas than any other pub I know, and on top of that, one of the better (and warmed up) beer gardens perfect for watchin footy without freezin your tits off (For all those smokers out there especially!). Atmosphere is awesome and they have a decent live band playing inside to top things off!! Rock on!!!

Is it a cover band? Its a long way for me to come and I am thinking of going to the Tower in Hawthorn instead to watch the Mighty Hawks with the Hawks Faithful! Is a venue switch out of the question?

Thats not up to me Molly! Hey, has anyone else actually been there before since it has been fixed up? Im dead set serious when I was saying that it is one of the finest venues goind around! The boys will be hittin the G’ on the friday night, they can go check it themselves if they like after the game and update if they feel a need to change it up! You will pay all of $7 extra to get from Hawthorn to Richmond by the way Molly! P.S. Yes its a cover band and Darcy does own it….he sold his other joint which is a favorite for the Western Suburbs guys to gas it up just to basically rip down the $hit house joint called the depot and change it into the Precinct. Get a better quality of clientel now! LOL!

We’re going to have to disagree on this one. The Depot wasn’t a ponced up bogan magnet because they never ponced it up. You’d walk past the Depot at 7am on a Sunday and they’d be hosing out the spew and zone 3 train tickets. Now it’s changed and all ponced up and full of wankers with tips in their hair and white/tan croc-leather shoes. You’ll all still have a ripper night - I hope you do - but on the quality of the pub, I’m going to disagree with Leigh. But I hope you’re all cheering Hodgey on to 130pts.

Also precinct is a nice joint but the ponce’s can rock up there as the saturday night goes on (as jim mentioed_ but its not that bad… the crowd is a fair bit older than the teenie bopper depot days also..

I recommend the London Tavern in Richmond, its just around the corner - first roundabout on Lennox st. Great pub & meals.

DT Lads. You wouldn’t be aware of this but you have a farily significant following from a bunch of Aussie expats living in Hong Kong. A few of us are heading down to Melbourne in July for a couple of weeks and we’d kill to catch up with you fellas and talk DT. Honestly, you guys are a major hit over here and the work you have done putting this site together is absolutely fantastic. You’re a lifeline for us week in week out. I wouldn’t have my 1400 ranking without you ! To those that are complaining about the venue for your June get together. Get a fucking life. At least you are living in the fucking country and have a choice to attend. We would give our leftie to be there !

Calvin. We are in HK for a heap of different reasons. Some are teachers, some work in financial services, others are self employed. Because of the 40 hours a week I spend on DT I am now totally unemployable !
So I fall into the self employed category which enables me to sit at my big fat desk, on my big fat arse and look like I’m working.

Spewin boys, just looked at flights, nearly $400 each way at short notice (from good old Perth). Pretty expensive for a long weekend. Keen as fuck if ya can give a little more notice for the next one (like 6 weeks would be more than enough), even if its in the home town of Tassie, never been there.
Some boys and I went on a massive Melb trip on the weekend (we are from Tas as well) and spent about 8-9 hours at the Precinct on Sunday night. Got blind and danced badly, but it was huge. I’d say there were over 1,500 people there. Pretty swanky and the girls were all premier league standard (while we are about Div 4 in the Hungarian League). We saw Dipper and Jason Saddington, Emma from BB and a few others.
Definately worth starting your night out there, although it did close at midnight which seemed strange. Watch out for that 2am curfew as well- we got caught out every night!

We got there around 3pm (this was on a Sunday before a public holiday- so I would imagine the crowd was bigger than normal), and it was pretty busy already, but we managed to get a seat. At about 5:30 I had to go outside for a minute and when I came back in, I noticed that people were lining up to get in. By the end of the night it was packed and you only got in if you were good looking or wearing really nice shoes. I’d imagine you would want to get there before 7 to be any chance of getting a seat/table to lean on & probably to avoid lining up.
