As you may have seen on the latest episode of our DT Talk Vidcast, we held our Premium Dream Team Draft last Sunday night. It was a fun evening with all the boys huddled around their laptops, keeping their potential selections close to their chest! The draft went really well, with Dean Cox going at number one and Chad Cornes at number two… would love to see how many drafts had that exact order!

People have requested it, so here it is - the transcript from our draft. Makes some interesting reading!

Our draft last night for dreamteamtalk.com8 was strange to say the least. Cox went at 3, Ablett at 10, Pavlich at 11. Palmer wouldve been in the top 50, Tyson Edwards got picked up post-draft.

Sam Mitchell was drafted around 15 times because the thing kept stuffing up. I think the glitch in the system has been fixed now and he’s back to the guy who got him first, but during the draft it hindered the ability of people to draft other midfielders.

Picks were regularly lost or wasted because of loading problems leading to timeouts (On three occasions i had under 10 seconds to pick) so in the end it was pretty disappointing.

I think I got a relatively good team out of it though, which is some consolation.

We did a manual draft at the beginning of the year, very similar to this. Was great. Sounds like the PDT was a bit of a flop due to the stuff ups. If they iron things out, it is a great idea.

Our draft was a shambles. The guy who got first pick was, for some reason, automatically given his first 3 choices straight off the bat. So he had Cox, White and Heater before anyone else got to pick. 4 blokes were given Brent Harvey, when they were choosing different players. Another guy was given Guerra, Murphy and the Rough Nut when it was someone else’s turn. It seemed like the server just couldn’t handle everything at once.

Apart from that, the concept was great fun and I already like the trading option. If they can sort out the live draft, they’ll have themselves a stew going.

FC, I spat the dummy with our draft last night because of the problems and as a result my team is incomplete and f*cked.

Not sure of the fairest way of doing it but will happily trade out the few guns I got before spitting the dummy.

Jocko mate I think the best thing you can do is to get your money back and complete your team the best you can.

Looking at who you’ve got (superfists?), there are some high quality guns there, so I reckon if you have a look through who’s left you could form a pretty solid outfit.

I tried to make the email I sent last night on behalf of our league, so check your email to see if they’ve sent a refund. If not, ask for one.

no 1 pick up nigal lappin back in 1 week and also how does it work if you got some1 not playing can u like trade them out and pick up some1 not drafted
e.g

if i have mcloed and he gets dropped in like 2 weeks can u get some1 not picked up
