Which rookies will be the jets and the ‘must haves’ in next years DT? The NAB Under 18s Championships are underway (well done to Tassie who have been promoted!) and the next crop of Dream Team Cash Cows are playing their hearts out to possibly be selected in our 2009 Dream Teams. This article from the AFL website has some words of wisdom from Geelong recruiting assisant, Luke Williams. As a ‘future planner’ for DT, maybe keep track of some of the ‘ball winners’ and guys who are likely to ’stat-it-up’ to help with selecting next years DT. One guy to keep an eye on is Tasmania’s Mitch Robinson, who racked up 16 touches in kicked 2 goals - earning him the Hunter-Harrison Medal.
I already want Ranga Ediriwickrama (from NSW/ACT) just for his name alone - but he can play too! I wonder if he was named after Cameron Ling?

watch out for justin beugulaar. quality tall forward from NT, sure to get picked up in the draft. the next buddy franklin
Yeah blackdog i agree, he has great leading and marking skills, but the added bonus of unbelievable fitness levels. He also displayed some great goal kicking skills not only on the right but also loves chukin one on the left too.
Ranga is gonna be Brownlow material on the name alone. If he doesn’t have red hair, he should certainly be dying it
ha yer sounds like a name more suited to the guy in picture
Yeah- Ranga goes to my school- im in year 10 now but 3 years ago i played alongside him in the 15s team. He is a freak. I remember winning games by 100+ points in the knockout tournament. Ranga then missed a game due to injury and the team got smashed. The difference without him was unbelievable. He is also our best cricketer in the school- bowls 130km/h+, consistently makes centuries etc. capt. school team
Ranga sounds like Roy, but can the Ranga play b’ball too??
Ranga can do anything, he is a gun! Haha!
his name is actually pronounce run-garr not like a red haired ranga. He has black hair also.
Ranga is going to play for Geelong next year, got 218 SuperCoach points last game. Superstar.
he should be a gun but i know someone who might be better. you may have heard of Hamish hartlett from west Adelaide he will be an absolute gun. got in the best players for the U18’s SA against NSW/ACT.
he also played with Pearce at edwardstown where i play.
draft benny arkless, freak show from tassie, quickest player going around and great skills at top speed
we also call him brownlow cause he’s a superstar
