Ripped off??

Files under 2008 | Posted by Calvin

Yes I beleive I was! Shit yeah I do. Where’s Boomers medal and where’s my money!

Right… I put money on Brent Harvey to win the Aylett medal paying $16. I invested a little $10. So someone owes me $160! Fevola kicked 6.2 goals and only had 10 touches. Harvey kicked 3 goals and 23 touches! Yeah Fev was good… but Boomer was clearly best on! CLEARLY!! (I say that one shouting).

Am I right?

Fev was 23 times more exciting. The roar everytime he marked was awesome.

True Braydog! Roars don’t get me money though! and when Harvey kicked his 3rd goal at the end, he grabbed his BIG V - thought that was the clincher, very moving ha ha

Best on ground should have gone to Harvey. Cornes and Goodes were also very good.

I reckon best on ground should have gone to who ever gave Daniel Kerr the knock in the first quarter. Highlight of the night seeing him go off and not take any further part in the game.

Reckon it could have easily gone to Fev, Scarlett, Harvey, Kane, Peter Burgoyne or even Goodes.

    They all deserved it.

well i believe that harvey deserved it more than fev warnie but there were other players that deserved it over harvey. Burgoyne played better and so did cornes and a few others. Harvey was definetely up there though

If u have a look at todays herald sun Kornesy isn’t even in the best for the dream team!

The BOG medal could have gone to anyone, but they are almost always biased to the bloke who kicks the bag of 5 or 6.

Goodes is a joke, and every time he got the ball everyone in my bay just booed. He is a disgrace.

But, yeah, I did hear alot of boo’s. Hahaha.

I’m fast starting to think that K.Cornes is the most valuable player in the afl. He consistently holds the best player on the opposing team to having little to no impact while dominating the stats and linking the ball very well(plus he almost never makes an error). I don’t believe he gets cheap posessions, people just think that because he makes everything look so easy- hes a magical rover of the ball. Maybe when they decide who is best on ground they should also consider how well they played defensively on their opponent.

i totally agree with that, if i was the new coach of the gold coast team and they said i could pick any player in the afl for my team i would pick kane cornes

The person with the name Jason Porplyzia is a legend!

    Fevola was better IMO.
When they said “the medal goes too” I said Fev and they said Fev

nah KANE CORNES was best on ground- he held judd so well, and his kicking was clean as.
surely you cant win a best on ground with ten touches, unless maybe you kick a goal with each one.

In no way was Fev BOG, not for the Vics and not for the DT!!

I had money on harvey as well

i got 26 to 1 so when i watched the game i was counting up my cash.

Dominated all game, did the hard work at every stoppage, delivered superbly to Fev and kicked 3 goals including the sealer…

I thought some of the DT players probably played better however being on a loosing side was going to hurt them… Ripped….

Burgoyne was clearly best on ground

he was rebouding off half back like a legend, then did some real good stuff in the middle. not to mention he nearly got 40 touches…

his only prob was that he was in a losing side

what about matt scarlett, he chopped the his players up and set it up heaps off times going into the foward line, but the way off footy is that fowards just cause they kcik goals get made to look like stars, its bullshit
