Jake King – Broken Wrist?

Can you believe this? Monty over on the FanFooty blog, has reported that Jake King, the rather small human that was picked up by a heap of coaches in the last couple of weeks, has a ’small crack in his wrist’. There are so many unconfirmed reports floating around… such as him having an operation and will be out for 4-6 weeks, that he will be right to play next week… and that he is actually really a circus freak and been summoned back by his ring leader to go on tour (actually, I made that one up).

There is nothing official to report as yet, but when there is something… DT Talk will give you the good oil! Hopefully it’s good news!

  1. I blame warnie, you had to get him into your team, he was going great for everyone until warnie got him in.

  2. I also got him in last week for Bowden… really didn’t want to trade Bowden but what can you do. Then Kingy comes out with his worst game for the year and does himself an injury. DT is frustrating!

  3. all those people who traded him for bowden will be annoyed right about now, especially if he is out and bowden comes back in and plays his loose man in defense with lots of cheap kicks and marks game.

and i agree with chad, its all warnie’s fault.

  4. Yeah, Roy and I predicted this would happen the week that Warnie got him in…..hope your happy!

  5. I think he punched the ground cause he heard Warnie got him in and knew he was going to go shit!

ah yes, an interesting article with insights into the weakness of the hobbit hand.

  7. Here’s the final squads for the dt clash… I have to say, on some of the VIC selections, they deserve to get beaten…

  8. What does anyone think about BJ

http://dreamteamcouch.wordpress.com says that he is the ‘number one’ pickup for next round.

I’m reluctant though – his form is still shaky and I reckon that Cyril Rioli is still going to go up more….

  9. But http://dreamteamcouch.wordpress.com/research-centre/ have some awesome stats saying that last year his worst score was 78 – if he can find that form again i’ll jump on him-what does anyone think???

Ps. Hate to have got Jake King, Warnie – truly i feel for you – DT is a cruel, cruel game…

  10. If you’ve got eage Chad Jones in your forwards, word is he’s got a broken ankle and now he’s out for a good while.

  11. yeah, i picked up king last week, rooey and mcphag the week before…goooooood ryz, good. who should i get this week, i needa choose one, or the other, cause i needa now use a trade in my backline to cover now 4 zeros (pfieffer, mcphee, king and possibly rainsey), but anyway, pav now, bj next week? both very low BE’s for them, but pav is as low as he’ll ever get, same with bj?!

  12. Why the hell would you have Chad Jones?

  13. Lol, i’ve got no idea. Just throwing it out there!

  14. no but seriously, why/o would have chad jones?

  15. personally, im hoping a lot of the injuries talked about this week are just “hall of fame game” injuries. in particular simon black. i dont want to waste a trade on him, but if he has osteitis pubis he could start the late withdrawal trick going which is not cool.

  16. maybe chad jones’ mum made a dream team and chose him?

  17. Sorry, but how does Ryan Griffen get a game in front of Daniel Cross?????????????

  18. Someone has to warm the bench Shane!

  19. Cross is alot better than Griffen, Griffen can break the lines though as I dont think Cross can run & carry it like Griffen can

  20. Can we please stop putting links to the poor mans dt website on ours please..e.g. dreamteamcouch! Can you please fix that Warnie!

  21. Sorry, but how does Ryan Griffen get a game in front of Daniel Cross?????????????

thought the same thing Shane. Unless eade wants cross to have a week off?

  22. Hey Warnie,

What about a thread about what people are going to do with their teams with another whole week to think about things.

Who is for Uncle Chop Chop and who is in? (specially in light of the Angry Gnome King injury – although you had already made him shit by getting him into your team, thank god I held off buying him for that reason!!)

  23. Yeah, no Daniel Cross. =( Anyone want my tickets?

I hope the little midget King has a broken wirst.

  24. Got my tickets for the game tomorrow night… right down on the fence :D
    Hope it’s a close one.

  25. How can Waite, Mooney and Davis get a game? They’re f-king duds!! Roughead & Medhurst have the form and should have got a game before them! And maybe Didak if he wasn’t in court…

  26. A lot of the cuts will seem strange, but you have to understand that not all players have the same passion to play in this match. The coaches will choose players that want to play over players in slightly better form who aren’t as interested in it. I knew Mooney would play because he has as much passion to play footy as anyone I’ve ever seen. Roughead and Medhurst probably didn’t.

  27. fair chance waite can hold down a key pozzie a bit better than medhurst. cross should be in over griffen, man he is overrated!! warnie should be omitted for killing the king. tit, i cant believe this!! i think the couch website said allen mcgowan was playing next week?!? truth nebody??

  28. Y THE FUCK IS KING INJURED!! that means 5 ppl out of my backlinee :(

  29. What the!!!!!!!! Symes, Chad, King, dropping like flies, I bet Shaw does a Hammy this weekend just to kick me in the guts

  30. c’mon guys he’s not that small! 174cm! the way you talk about him he’s about 160

  31. Shivers..this is really bad news for DT.
You could probably have a whole backline of players whom have been injured or dropped.

    AHH

Im lucky I don’t have King though..bad luck to the little fella..he’s in career best form.

Morts if your right i’ll kill myself…in dreamteam style.

Why couldnt a forward/midfielder get injured next time..JUST TO MAKE IT EASIER

  32. thats bad luck for all the midget lovers out there if the rumour is true
