DT POINTS Vs BROWNLOW ODDS

Files under 2008 | Posted by Calvin

Hey welcome to GAMBLEVIN! Here I show you some top top bargains where you can cash in your DT knowledge for cold hard cash.

Gamble-VinI believe with little belief that players who score well in DT, poll well in the Brownlow! Last year Jimmy Bartel won the medal followed by Black, Kerr, Harvey and Ablett, all quality DTers in ‘07.

Here are the Brownlow favourites so far, along with their DT averages so far in 2008. Get on ‘em before their odds crash!

  1. Cooney$7 (90 pts)

  2. Mitchell$7.50 (95 pts)

  3. B. Harvey$9 (95 pts)

  4. Ablett$9 (108 pts)

  5. Bartel$9 (110 pts)

  6. Richo$9 (103 pts)

  7. Buddy$11 (101 pts)

  8. Corey$11 (113 pts)

  9. Black$15 (99 pts)

  10. Judd $15 (86 pts)

Some other great picks - remember you can get these guys each way (for a place - top 3) Divide the $$ here by about 25-35% to get the each way value, not sure how it works but its close to that.

  • Kane $41 (100 pts)

  • Cross $81 (104 pts)

  • Marc M $101 (99 pts)

  • Goodwin $101 (104 pts)

  • Carrazzo $126 (103 pts)

  • Medhurst $151 (95 pts)

  • Cox $151 (105 pts)

  • Crawford $1001 (95 pts) - missed games but playing well

All odds are from the TOTE - ching ching!

I hopped on Corey when he was $31-1 :D

Cooney deserves to be favourite and if you disagree then you haven’t watched the Bulldogs enough this season.

Calvin, in my opinion the guys you have put in with the larger odds all have ZERO chance of winning the brownlow, pr even making top 3, to be perfectly honest.

I’ve watched enough games, Richo, B Harvey and G ablett would all be ahead imo.

Mitchell also, they haven’t been THAT amazing.

my value bet is mark mcveigh for the dons.. even tho he’s missed 3 or 4 games, he’s got at least 2 BOGs and possibly a third. and he’s 500-1 which means he’s paying around 125-1 for a top three

mitchell is a good thing as long as he isnt a late withdrawl from too many more games….

should also get on the multi bets every now and again for a bit of value.. i took the hawks and geelong into saints last week. was nail biting stuf but added excitement to a game i couldnt care less about. :p

isnt it sad, usually this is the time of the week we are all fidgeting with our sides, stressing over who to put as captain and really just in an anxious mood of excitement over the round of footy to come.

BUT NOT THIS FUCKING WEEK, NOPE. WE HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO A BUNCH OF ABSOLUTE CLOWNS PLAYING FOR A FAKE DREAM TEAM AND A TEAM AFFECTIONATELY KNOWN AS “THE BIG VICS”…
    MORE LIKE, THE BIG DICS!

i got on Joel Corey ($51) and Lenny hayes ($61) at the start of the season for The Brownlow. I am pretty happy with both bets to date as they have both had pretty good seasons, albeit Corey has done better than Hayes.

I also got on Franklin for the Coleman at the beginning of the year @ $7.50 so again, i’m happy with that.

the brownlow winner is the man in and under the packs, getting the handball out right under the umpires nose. Hence why Black gets votes every year. This yr, Black is leading the hard ball brigade yet again, with Judd in 2nd spot and names like Cassisi (very underated), Cross, Kerr, Ablett and Franklin making the top 10 so far. Worth noting that Cooney isn’t in the top 50!
