UPDATE: And we’re all go… log in now to see who you play!!
If you are in the Eliminator it means you will not only be playing someone in your 3 leagues this week, but also someone in the new knock-out competition that is starting this week! Win you stay in… lose and you’re out! The rules are below and apparently we will know who we are playing ‘prior to the start of round 6′.
- Each eligible entry will receive a ranking based on their team score at the completion of Round 5;
- Each team in the top 65,536 entries will be matched up against another team in the next 65,536 entries based on their rankings;
- In Round 6, these teams will be matched up and play ‘head-to-head’ against one another, the winner being the team that scores the most points for the round;
- The winning teams proceed to the next round, losing teams are eliminated and take no further part in the Eliminator competition;
- The process is repeated with all remaining teams for the remainder of the season, until there are 2 teams remaining in Round 22. The higher scoring of the two teams in Round 22 will be deemed the Eliminator Winner;
- In the event of a tied score at any stage, the team with the highest total score for the season-to-date is deemed the winner - if this is equal, the winner will be the team who registered first in time.

Im hoping to get into the top 1024 which means surviving for 7 weeks. need plenty of luck but its not out of the question
hey guys kinda off topic but im thinking of doing a double trade this week. goodes for johnstone and then kerr for rhyce shaw cause they are both pissing me off scoring shit all the time. cheers
I have goodes and im keeping him. last week he had cameron ling play on him and noone gets good scores when ling is tagging them. But i reckon he will come good its just a bit of a form slump.
kerr is struggling cause he is the only gun midfielder left at west coast and always gets massively tagged so it mightnt be a bad idea to trade him. i would think there is better midfielders then rhyce shaw to trade to though
yeah but money is a problem cause kerr and goodes have gone down so far already

With rankings being based on last week’s scores, there could be a fair few upsets due to some very low scores from what would be considered strong teams.
My ranking is 4070, opponent is 77337 but I’m worried. Lineup I face is:

Only common player we have in the mids is Morton, so if his midfield fires and mine doesn’t, I could be out this week! The luck of the draw I guess….

Playing “Bretty Boys” who has only and I mean ONLY geelong players. He is averaging just over 1,200 and somehow left out GABLETT but managed to select every geelong player who has a number on his back. Strange. I wish it had the draw bracket. Reminds me over the NCAA march madness tournament. Even though the afl website lacks in so many critical areas I applaud them for this new aspect!
As Jonathon has said two thumbs up to the AFL on this new concept. Should be great fun.
I only wonder if it could be made cooler by having the coaches box forum available just so you can sledge your upcoming opponent…

Great concept. Can’t wait. Really want to do well in this, but I guess all you can do is be consistent and hope for some luck.
I am ranked 7000 and am playing someone ranked 118,000. He is playing at least 3 short, but has a midfield of Ablett, bartel, Corey, Judd, West and Palmer.
The guy has terrible backs and forwards though, so I should be safe.
One improvement I would like to see is the afl to fix the glitch which makes your jumper come out with brown stripes. Only a small thing but annoys me…
Eliminator ranking looks like it goes on last weeks result. I’ll playing a guy ranked 65,524 when i’m ranked around 15,000. He’s got a dud team though, but I won’t count my chickens, his captain will probably score an all-time world record this week to knock me off!!
I’m up against a team ranked 100,000 or so and I like my chances. Somehow his team actually has a decent lineup though so I still need to be careful with my captain choice. Will be pissed if I get knocked out in the first round.
Lol, I can’t believe how shit my 129555th ranked opponent is nor how shit the team name is (Control Group 2). It is seriously ultra shit. The most expensive player in the team is Daniel Pearce and ave per round is 917.

So while there is nothing there that’s particularly terrifying, it’s not the worst team around the hundred thousand mark I’m sure. It’s definitely tougher than your opponent Brendan haha. I’ll probably lose.
Looks to be a tight contest for me. Only 70 points different in our total scores for the year, unfortunaaly im the one whos 70 points down. When you think about it, you could play someone real hard this week, and then next week, play someone who is a dud.
Roy, remarkably 4,485 DT coaches have selected Carroll from Melbourne who averages somewhere in the 50’s, from your stat attack friends….Tit-ed and Chook!
They have this in the English Premier League Fantasy comp. Only it went for 20 rounds and had the top 1,048,576 players registered. I lost in round 12, but doesn’t always get harder the further u go, cos in round 7 i won by 1 point, then round 11 won by 22 points (average scores of about 60). Just random luck who u get drawn against!

I got Team Geelong too- any team with Bartel, Grablett, Corey, Chapman, Milburn and Johnson in it deserves some respect, but the rest of the guys are non-fantasy (eg Scarlett) or simply not playing. Should be a nice warm up win. It’ll be interesting to see my guys go overall, historically they’ve been fairly average overall (outside top 1k) but have always managed to do just enough to beat their weekly opposition.
And Warnie, you’d better be returning to coaching this week, your boys need your leadership if they’re to lift and quit dragging down our league. Haha.
The team that I’m playing is pretty good got the likes of Shaw, Brown, Richo, Rooey, Pavlich, Cox, Bowden and Gilbee. And the only 0 in its starting 22 being Bowden. But, its midfield is poor luckly with Swam and Stevens being the only two decent players.

im pretty confident of a rnd 1 eliminator win since the guy im playing is going to be at least 5 players short. he only got 1200 and something last week and i got 1900 so im looking forward to week 2
Haha… I will win easy. My opponent scored 1232 last week and had 15 out of 30 get a big fat 0! His only defender playing is McLeod and his only ruck playing is Kreuzer. His cheapest midfielder is Kerr (which means he has two guns on his bench - although Priddis is injured)!
I scored 1866 last week (averaging 1847), so I will at least get to next week’s ‘Eliminator’… sounds like a Gladiators challenge!
I hope to get the furthest out of all the guys in my two leagues and win both the leagues as well!
