Fantasy Freako Mail-Out - Round 5

Files under 2008 | Posted by Warnie

Woweee… We have some awesome things in this weeks Fantasy Freako Mail-Out thanks to Champion Data. The usual is in there - who to buy, who to sell, captain options, general DT chit chat including telling us NOT to sell Brad Johnson now, and more… but this week, we have some real numbers to crunch in the points per minute section. This is awesome! Seeing that Kane Johnson racks up the most points per minute - could help in your upgrade trades that will be happening very soon!

Surely Johnno can’t keep it up … He’s too old.

Who would you recommend for Josh Hill as a cheap fwd thats set to rise and will play consistently?

Well, yeah… but is a little silly right now… he has nearly got to his highest price… so maybe it’s not the right time?? ie. you missed your chance.. apart from him, there arent too many options!!

G-Unit. Consider Gamble, McKinley or Tippet. All 3 should play most games and will make you money.

Jason. You could probably throw Brad Greene or Carazzo into the equation as well.

Bloody Good Warnie. I am also watching to see if Scotland can get going because he has the capacity to rack up huge numbers. Or do you think that Judd is taking some possies off him ?

yeah.. i think judd had.. scotland is a bargain at the moment, as we have seen him score well in the past… however he doesnt fit the mould in the new carlton midfield with Juddy and Stevo (plus the extra involvement of Bryce and Murphy)… he is being more accountable… at the moment, Stants would be my man (but i’m a dons supporter)…

In the Eagles v Port game half of McKinley’s points came via umpiring errors. His scores “could” halve in the future if & when umpires work him out.

Warnie. I think I’ll sit on the sidelines with Scotland and see how his next couple of games go. His value isn’t going up any time soon so I reckon I have a bit of time on my side. I am looking for an upgrade target from Mr. Shitful Dyson. He is getting the chop from my side if he doesn’t pull his finger out in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for the suggestions fellas. Might sit on the Hill trade for the moment till a better cheap fwd option rears its head. Already have tippett and the others mentioned aren’t cheap enough or good enough to make the trade worthwhile.

The only halfway reasonable trade I can see for Hill this week (if you’re downgrading him, not upgrading him) is to Jack Riewoldt.

But wait for teams. Leigh Brown from North has a broken hand, Lachie Hansen’s gotta be a chance to replace him if he’s over his foot injury (he was over it enough to be named in the best in the magoos last weekend, good sign). Making a trade that could get shafted by Laidley Late Change Lotto is a risk, though.
