1750 or so for me. Could have been a great score but thanks to sydney’s job on port adelaide (i had 4 port players and no syndey players) my score sucks again.

    1) Cox, Bartel, G Ablett, McIntosh, Pavlich, Headland, Roughead.

    2) T Tuck, Gamble, Palmer.

    3) Nicoski, C Cornes, K Cornes, Birchall, S Stevens, P Borgoyne, Boyle

    4) None

    Gak Attack = 1907

Happy to be back after getting hit by the website problems which meant four zeros for me last week.

Big Buck Performer: Well a last minute change to Cox as captain paid off. Cross and Hall my only other 100’s… lot of 90’s but.

Show me the Money: Barry Small - has to be says 106 is a nice return for someone at his cost.. made me forget last week!

Chopping Block: Well you can’t expect much from cheap young guns but Garland(15) and Edwards (26) cost me a 2k score!

    Injury/Suspension: Tippet(was an emg however)

  4. GravatarBy Morts on Mar 30, 2008 | Reply

    Team Morts - 1945

    The Big Dollar Performers:
Dean Cox, Daniel Cross, Brent Stanton

    Show Me The Money:
Bret Thornton, Paul Medhurst, Rhys Palmer (on bench tho), Barry Hall, Bryce Gibbs

    The Chopping Block:
    Jake Edwards, Aaron Edwards

    Injuries/Suspension worries:
Kurt Tippett, Keiren Jack, Aaron Edwards (luckily two are bench players and I can cover Aaron Edwards if need be)

    2/ Mattner, Gamble, Rioli, Bird

    3/ S Johnson (poo 2 weeks now)

    4/ Tippett, Dew, Goodes (suspension?)

  8. GravatarBy Rebel Alliance on Mar 30, 2008 | Reply

I don’t think Nicoski warrants being on the Chopping Block yet. He doesn’t cost much and after his first round his value will go up very soon. Wait and then fire.

Is it time to go Goodesy ?

  10. GravatarBy Morts on Mar 30, 2008 | Reply

Yeah but Nicoski’s first round score will only be factored into one price rise

Just recapping my captain selections thingy.

Safe bets: Black (99), BJ (75), Thompson (118), Rooey (82), Pav (93) Ablett (121) and I did say avoid the Kanga’s game but did give my safe bet too Simpson (75). Average: 94.

    Roughy: Didak (88), McLean (75), Cox (140), Judd (56), Hodge (102), Hall (106), Stanton (113). Avearge: 97.

Points of interest: Also made special mention to Corey (110), Cross (139) and West (91) and said to avoid Brown-Dog (66) and Rocca (56). I told you not to laugh at Barry Hall. And, I said Watson will get Clinged. And, with Juddy in my roughies I did say to be warned with that selection. So, next week, listen to me.

After all that I picked BJ and he got me nothing and Cross was VC to rub salt in the wound. I end up with 1659. Shocking.

    1. Cox and Cross. Only 2 100 point plus players.
    2. Gamble, Tuck, Bird, Simmonds.
    3. Bradshit, Brown-dog, McNotSoClean, Waters, Nicoski, Dal Santo, Juddy, Hawkins, Boak and Thompson.

  13. GravatarBy jack on Mar 30, 2008 | Reply

1895 this week. alright, much better than last week, but still lots of room for improvement.

    1) cross, stants, hodgey, pav
    2) simmonds, porps, hill, gamble, palmer, rioli, deledio, bird
    3) disappointed with browny, the chad, lade and waters. no chopping needed though.
    4) no one this week

pretty happy with the team this week.

Big Dollar Performers - Gablett, Pav,

Show me the Large - Porps, Rioli, Mattner

Chopping Block - Hurn, McHahon, Luenberger, Stanton - as an Essendon supporter it’s still embarrasing getting 113 points when they’re all from butchered kicks & handballs, I like to earn my points.

    Injuries - Lucas, Dew, Tippett

  15. GravatarBy Besty on Mar 30, 2008 | Reply

Would you trade S Johnson for J Hill? Geelong have Melbourne coming up this week so Johnson get back in the action.

  16. GravatarBy Warnie on Mar 30, 2008 | Reply

Steve Johnson should come good… but my god…. in that smashing surely he coulda got a decent score?!

  17. GravatarBy Morts on Mar 30, 2008 | Reply

I’m thinking Aaron Edwards for Josh Hill to free up some cash. Then I can use that cash to maybe get a Gram/Gilbee in the back line or upgrade my second ruck to a Simmonds or something

  18. GravatarBy The Saint on Mar 30, 2008 | Reply

get chapman for johnson then like i will…

Shame I chose Pav over Cox for captain, but happy with the end result of 1925.

All of my backs performed poorly, especially Nathan Brown with a 22 subbing for Hartlett & Thompson. Might need to do a trade in the backline this week. Also disappointed with Brown’s score after trading Lucas for him last week, I had a feeling I’d be able to pick him up cheaper considering he’s playing Sydney next week.

Very happy with Gibbs after last weeks effort, and Barry’s secured a spot in my team for a while longer with his hundred. Also happy with Gamble and Bird on the bench, even happier with Tuck getting me a ton on the field :)

Scott Selwood or Scott DT (need to get a more reliable 7th back)
    Injuries/Suspension worries:

    2) Newman, Simmonds, Porplyzia, Didak, Bird, Geary, Gamble, Rioli

    3) N.Jones, Pendlebury, Dal Santo, Leuenberger

    4) DAVEY

1833 - Things can only look up once Davey is gone, never to return to my dream team. Two bad years in a row and you can only hold onto a player for so long.

  38. GravatarBy Ausyid on Mar 30, 2008 | Reply

    very disappointed with my 1869.
thought i ahd cox as captain but for some reason i had pavlich.
only myself to blame. thats a loss of 47 points though!
cant wait to see what im ranked. hopefully still top 2000. i was way worse at this stage last year and finished 230th.

  39. GravatarBy c0ze on Mar 30, 2008 | Reply

You missed Matty Stokes in the Show Me The Money bit, he had a cracker with 139 points.

Also, wouldn’t drop Stevie J after one low scoring game. He dished off alot of goals which is rare for him!

is it betta trading leunberger(his in my reserves) for cox or schofield(in my reserves but need a betta backline) for a bowden or s.fisher plz help???

  42. GravatarBy Besty on Mar 30, 2008 | Reply

Cox is a dead set gun - very consistent, more so than bowden & fisher. Leunberger still learning the ropes, don’t see big scores rolling in - probably 50’s.

  43. GravatarBy The Saint on Mar 30, 2008 | Reply

cox is an essential in my eyes. i missed out on a major bargin in simmonds just 2 assure cox was in my team.

Dont know why everyone is on N Jones case. The guy is priced at about 70ppg and has had two scores of 80 and 70 in sides that have been beaten by 15 goals both weeks.

    Stay the course!

  53. GravatarBy Druz on Mar 31, 2008 | Reply

Because I want him to improve and get more points thats why. I dont think he should stay at a 70ppg player his whole career and he needs to get better or piss off outta my team!! Haha.

  54. GravatarBy Pez on Apr 1, 2008 | Reply

Is it really worth Jumping on Josh Hill now and using a trade?

Is it only 2 fantastic performances? or is it going to be a regular thing reminiscent of Priddis circa 2007?
