We’ve anticipated the release of the Aurion V6 AFL Dream Team 2008 game for a long time now, but it’s finally here and we’ve now had time to digest the info and looks as though there are some awesome new features! A new ‘Eliminator‘ game which will add another competitive element to the game (be quick - you need to be in the top 131,072 people entered with a full team). Also, as reported back in the Pre-Season Episode 2 of DT Talk, you can watch your team’s score live while the games are being played. Below are some of the awesome new features with AFL Dream Team in 2008:
WHAT’S NEW IN 2008?
The Aurion V6 AFL Dream Team returns for 2008 with a hot list of new features including:
LIVE STATS - through the Dream Team Live inteface via your Leagues page, your team and players will score live while mathces are in progress throughout the weekend. Individual player scores and your team’s indicative score totals will be updated live!
PLUS from Round 4, look out for LIVE league head-to-head match ups, with live scores and player match-ups between your Team and your league opponent. Live league scoring from all match-ups in your private leagues will be available later in the season.
Edit your team via your Telstra NextG mobile phone by making trades and substitutions from anywhere. Plus live player scores direct to your mobile, whether you’re out and about (or even at the footy!) - never miss a moment of Dream Team action!
Dream Team Eliminator - be one of the first 131,072 teams to register and you are automatically entered in Dream Team Eliminator, the new ‘League of Champions’ knockout competition! From Round 6, your Dream Team will be matched up with another Team and play-off, based on your previous round ranking. WIN your match and proceed to the next Round - LOSE and it’s the end of the road, with your team being eliminated.
Create or join up to THREE Private or Public Leagues with your single team entry, in an easy to use and manage interface direct from your Leagues page. Create or join a separate league with your friends, relatives and work colleagues, while managing the one team. Private & Public head-to-head fixtures for Rounds 4-18 will continue to be published weekly starting from Round 1 (you must have a complete team entry in order to enter and remain in a head-to-head private or public league).
Option to select a Vice Captain. A vice captain will now take your captain’s place and score double points, if your captain is a late omission or doesn’t play for any reason. No more missing out on double points due to a late change in a Sunday match.
So, create your team now… and how would you like to play against the DT Talk boys in an exclusive dreamteamtalk.com league? Well… save one of your 3 league entries for your chance to compete for some awesome DT Talk prizes. More details announced soon!
