Right, lets hope some of them actually do something tonight, thanks Ricky Dyson and Bachar Houli!
Geelong
Tom Lonergan- Everyone remembers when some melbourne dude (Brad Miller I think) put his knee almost all the way through Toms back, remarkable recovery and dominated the VFL GF, very cheap at something like $92,000, lets hope he hasnt lost his courage.
Mark Blake- Whinged and moaned all the way through grand final week when he got dropped, should be determined enough this year. Struggled last week vs Jeff White.
Travis Varcoe- Speedy forward who likes to chase and tackle in the forward line, a dt coaches favourite thing. Wants a run in the midfield this year, good luck with that.
Max Rooke- The cats sent this bloke to Germany or somewhere over there to have his hamstring fixed, they must rate him pretty highly…..hard to get a kick in that backline though.
Tom Hawkins- Has apparently trimmed down and got a bit more speed, should take over from where the SOOK Nablett has left.
Who dont you watch in this team, except most of them are to expensive to get.
St.Kilda
Leigh Montagna- Solid finish to last year, is starting to mature a bit and flies under the radar for the saints.
Michael Gardiner- Hasn’t played alot of footy in the last couple of years, might stay away from the Underbelly dudes in Melbourne and go alright in the ruck.
Justin Koschitzke- With Gardy there might play less in the ruck and more up forward, needs to keeps his head out of the way from other players.
Aron Fiora- Coming on a bit later in his career, great left foot and a good runner, see Montagna above.
Fraser “The Ape” Gehrig- DT Talks unofficial ambassador, he just doesnt know it yet, we have, everyone has, they love it!
Steven Milne-The most hideous man in the AFL, isnt even any good just scabs off eveyone else then gets one kick for the game which might be a goal and thinks he’s the shiz……got news for you Steve, You aren’t…..

I found your site on google blog search and read a few of your other posts. Keep up the good work. Just added your RSS feed to my feed reader. Look forward to reading more from you.

thats right milne……you arent!!
Awesome post Titta… You are a champion!!
This is a query in regards to last nights game, specifically aimed at warnie but any others with some info are extremely welcome to put their thoughts in…….Ricky Dyson, had a heap of time in the middle last night, will he get that time and get the footy once winderlich, mcphee and stanton come back, what are your thoughts on his DT year this year? Also, probably the toughest question I’m posed with this year is do I have cooney or cross? what are your thoughts boys??
Thanks..
Don’t have any saintsin my team, Prismall is my only cat at this stage.
Ok… Ricky got a heap of time in the middle and probably had Stantons spot (Stanton should be close to our #1 midfielder this year). I don’t think McPhee would be effecting his scoring as I think McPhee will play about 8 different positions this yeah - probably not a lot of time in the middle… The thing about Dyson, he is bloody cheap ($201,800) and in my opinion, WILL play 22 games…
As for Cross v Cooney… Chook and Roy debated which one to go with… and after many good points for both players, Roy went with Cross and Chook went with Cooney… So maybe Cooney just cos he is a bit cheaper? Crossy can be a bit handball happy but takes marks… and Coon-dog may not take as many marks, but kicks goals… VERY TOUGH ONE!!
Injuries are a worry with both Daniel Hot Cross Bun and Adam Coonola-Cola, but I reckon Cross might be slightly more prone to them than Cooney, hence my decision to go with the latter. Of course, you could save up and nab both in a Bulldogs midfield meal deal that also includes Scott “No, John, My Salmon Is The Best” West. Or something.
Funny Prismall and Dyson should pop up in the same thread, coz they’re both in the same boat - HMAS How Much Will I Play When The Real Stuff Starts?
I’m with Warnie in thinking Dyson will see a lot of clock this year, despite the imminent returns of Winderlich and Stanton, while Prismall has a tougher task in cracking the Cats midfield. Still, another 35 touches tonight won’t hurt his chances.
